Man LaserX5, you're really agressive towards Ian.
And besides, this comic is generally aimed at kids. It's not like they're going to say "hey, there's older people reading this, so we should attract them too!" while it's fine as it is.
LaserX5 hates Ian
I have to agree. It's alright if you don't like Ian's writing for various reasons, but once you start disliking/hating something up to a certain degree, you try looking for minor things nobody else considers important just to further your points. In other words, you're just looking for excuses to continue your complaining.
I guess it helps to be a more thankful person. I myself hate certain things as well, but I also try looking for things to please me as well. For example, most find "Sonic Underground" to be a lackluster show with various flaws, but I still enjoy it for its memorable characters, interesting setup, beautiful backgrounds, and its occasional surprising episodes. I can say similar things about "Sonic Heroes", "Sonic Unleashed", and "Sonic and the Black Knight". They all have their flaws, but nothing's perfect. It's how people continue to complain about these certain things without giving a single complement that really drives me up the wall.

Back on topic....
Ian Flynn isn't Penders who isn't Hurst. They all did things differently like each of us would probably have done things differently.
Most of the long term fans just seem to not like Ian's ideas probably cuz they largely lean towards SEGA.

I was meaning that SatAM has been over for quite a while, meanwhile SEGA has still produced Sonic games. When Archie Sonic needs ideas or answers to questions about how things work, they have to go to the games. Because of it, they lean towards Game Canon more then SatAM canon.
They're still their own Canon, it just has been getting more SEGA influence then SatAM.
And I highly doubt they'll kill the SatAM cast off because they've starred in the Comic far too long for that. Too many fans.

Pretty much saying he is right without evidence to back up claim. So hows about you show us this list of mandates you often drone on about?
Just seems like you're hell bent on just blaming it on all on Ian. Be it his fault or not.
Ok then. Do you really think Sega would allow a Ian to write story where Sonic, Eggman and Sally were all roboticized and the others had to carry on to fix the problem?
He'd get fired if he ever attempted such nonsense. That's Sega's cashcow mascot, their bread and butter.
And no, I'm not blaming it all on Ian. Even I know Sega's playing a hand in this ridiculous story of his.
As for the list of mandates, I'd love to show them, but Ian unfortunately only mentioned a few when someone asked, even saying some he wasn't even allowed to talk about.
You know, if there really is such a thing as secret mandates, that only enhances my suspicion how tightly Sega controls things behind the scenes.
So how is that Ian's fault if the previous writers weren't clear?
Because when you take massive creative liberties with a very confusing plot point such as this one, it's going to have people questioning just how you're actually following continuity, or just breaking it for your own convenience it because you can.
All I'm saying is, Ian should have done his homework on this. Isn't that the job of the head writer when you're writing for a big comic book like this one? And when you're making a story with this much confusion about, "Well, was the BEM Immunity removed or not?" Ian should just come out and tell us plainly. And I mean, BEFORE this story was attempted, not after. If he had perhaps done a side story that had Eggman run some tests to confirm only those the BEM alien scientist kidnapped were immune to roboticization.
If he had done that, I would have more ok with this plot point.
But here? It looks like he just shrugged his shoulders about it and said, "Meh, who cares? I'm only roboticizing Sally anyhow."
Man LaserX5, you're really aggressive towards Ian.
And besides, this comic is generally aimed at kids. It's not like they're going to say "hey, there's older people reading this, so we should attract them too!" while it's fine as it is.
Maybe I am, but this whole story of his just made my blood boil. From early on as 220, I could not help but raise several eyebrows because I saw so much OOC moments and ridiculous plot points, it made me wonder if Ian had seriously lost his mind.
And of course, I'd be lying if I didn't say the main thing that infuriated me more than anything was the fact the beloved cast from Satam, a show that had Sonic at his best IMHO, was bombarded with pain and butchered horribly just so Tails and Amy could look good while fighting with Sonic. Again, for the record, I'm not against them getting character development and spotlight, because they should, but could he not have done this without violently shoving the other main cast members aside?
And this is not even taking into account that Sally now looks like more like Amy Rose in design than her old self.
Anyhow, yes, you're right. It's aimed at kids. I won't even dispute that fact. But why even have the comic cast around if the fans love the game cast more? I almost get the feeling they're only here to benefit them, not visa-versa.
LaserX5 hates Ian
No, I don't.
I vehemently hate his writing, not the man himself.

That's it exactly. And if that is really the case, I wish the comic would just reboot the whole series and get rid of the comic cast all together if they're not going to at least treated with at least half of the respect the game cast gets.

Ian's not the one who didn't do his homework (someone can't even remember the events in the issues or the evidence showing what happened in the issues already in the thread), and revealing the World Roboticizer about half a year before it came into play is an awful, awful idea.
Well, what do you call someone when asked about the BEM Immunity, and he answers, "I don't know."
He winged it then if nothing else.
And when did I mentioned one thing about the world roboticizer? You know, for someone who likes to accuse me of jumping to conclusions, you sure like to do the same with me.
I said, run some tests to confirm who was immune to roboticization and who wasn't.
Seriously, man, quit acting like you have a vendetta against me. It's really immature on your part.

Seriously, how is it Ian winging it when the previous writers winged it themselves? I haven't really seen you take jabs at them for doing a crappy job with explaining it. I doubt Ian winged it if had to back and re-read everything so that they could do the Encyclopedia, where he probably stumbled across this plot hole.
"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Tell you what LaserX5, I'll go and make you a tinfoil hat, that way you can look the part of a crazed fan who likes to ramble on and on while telling others the "truth".
You know what? If you're going to start your posts by mocking me for giving my opinion, then I have nothing further to say to you.
I guess speaking your mind is a criminal offense nowadays.
And quite frankly, who are YOU to judge me when you can be just as opinionated about stuff yourself?

I have taken jabs at them. Did you not read my post where I agreed with LogiTeeka that Bollers seriously screwed up about the whole BEM Immunity thing?

Mecha Sally would have been a great villain if she was alone, concsious BUT influenced by her roboticization. That way she'd be very tactical and very lethal to the Kingdom of Acorn, even being more threatening than eggman.

Back on topic, because this is getting ridiculous.
No kidding.

I can agree with that, but she could have been a great villain as Eggman's henchmen too.
That's what I don't get. Why did Ian hype this up so much and then reduce it to a pathetic game of cat and mouse?

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea, but I don't think SEGA would allow someone more villainous than Dr. Eggman, but I'm saying in conjecture.Back on topic, because this is getting ridiculous.

Maybe it's a lot more easier narrative wise.Mecha Sally would have been a great villain if she was alone, conscious BUT influenced by her roboticization. That way she'd be very tactical and very lethal to the Kingdom of Acorn, even being more threatening than Eggman.

Laser, I can respect your opinion, but at times you pull something out of your butt when it comes to Ian and SEGA.Tell you what LaserX5, I'll go and make you a tinfoil hat, that way you can look the part of a crazed fan who likes to ramble on and on while telling others the "truth".
