By my estimation, clothes being fused into an organic creature during the process of being converted at the cellular level to a machine makes more sense then new clothes being formed from body modifications post-deroboticization. And even with that aside, it'd still be a pretty convoluted justification for a costume change.

Honestly, as Fish points out, neither option is terribly great; the idea that somehow the changed outfit is on account of Eggman's alterations to her body remains nonsensical, but the fact that Sal's garb resembles her Roboticized look so much means that, if she does indeed just decide to switch outfits, she's deliberately choosing one that evokes her time as a mindless killing machine. Which, I suppose, may tie in with recent implications that Sally is in fact "The Traitor", but that's not exactly a good thing.... lD;

here's part of my long text, that may explain part of the reason for the change :
For how this change came about for Sally, I read on one of these message boards, that some parents or a group of parents felt that her original season two design was to suggestive/risque to have in the comic. Now other fans may blame Sega and Archie for succumbing to peer pressure from members of the fan base about her original season two design. But I think we should hold that for judgment, because in this day and age of political correctness if you will, I wouldn't be too surprised if a group of parents and with all due respect some individual moms and dads, had a hand in this decision, but until we find out the exact detail and reasoning behind it, besides as some fans have put it the lame excuse of her being modified/weapoized as the reason for the new outfit, we may never know. But my guess, despite how the decision came about, again I think it's all part of Ian Flynn's plans to reintroduce her to the newer and younger generation/audience.

I know. This is why i hate our day and age. Can we go back to a time like the 50's (with todays technology of course) where no one cared and everything was hunky-doory and everyone knew everyone
