[Uncle Ben]

So over the years i have written several Sonic the Hedgehog game scripts and i am re writing them after seeing how some things didnt seem good and stuff like that (plus im bored in college) I have given bits and pieces to Red and he likes it so i wanna post here now. I want your guys input on this. My senior year english teacher thought i should send it in. Should i post the bits here or do something??

Should have the first section out later tonight or tomorrow. It is written in the style of a script cause thats how i wrote it. Comment what you think about and if (but hopefully not) you want to say something that you dont like try to do constructive criticism. Any questions ask

First Section:


(Note: This is Sonic’s story section)

(Scene: Location: Emerald Coast. Day 145. Year 3227. 11:32 AM. Sonic is relaxing on the Beach)


Sonic: Hey tails, what’s up? It's been awhile...
Tails: Sonic!! You gotta come quickly Eggman is at it again!
Sonic: (*sighs* facepalms) the man never gives up, what this time.
Tails: I'm not sure we better go look.
Sonic: Right, Where is he??
Tails: In the Great Forest, near some creepy looking ruins.
Sonic: Ruins in the Forest?? (Looks confused) Strange, anyways let's go!!

*Level will be a tutorial style level* Starts out on the beach/forest and moves deeper into the forest.

Sonic: So what exactly is Eggman doing?
Tails: Not sure, it looks like he is searching for something.
Sonic: Searching for what?
Tails: I'm not sure; lets just get their fast.
Sonic: Right!!
(Minutes later)
Tails: So many robots, whatever he is looking for must be important.
Sonic: That’s why we must stop him.
(Runs a bit more and stage ends)

(This entire scene is in the forest near ruins. Same Day 12:02 PM)

Sonic and Tails are running and flying, respectively, and are stopped by robots. 10 waves of them (kinda like Robot Carnival from Heroes) each getting more difficult than the last

Eggman: (angered) Why you miserable pest, you’re interfering with my work.
Sonic and Tails: Eggman!!
Eggman: Why do you always try to stop me??
Sonic: It's been my job for a while?? Cause I don’t like you??
Tails: Hahahaha
Eggman: (smiles evilly) heh, well you won't stop me this time!!
Sonic: Yea, we will see about that, right Tails??
Tails: Right!
Eggman: we shall see (more robots, including SWATbots show up)
Sonic: No problem. (Fights them but more show up) Man, they just keep coming.
(More show up as Sonic and Tails destroy them. They see a figure that is also destroying them, more than they are.)
Eggman: What’s this?
Wolf (Ben): (angered) your worst nightmare.
Eggman: (showing slight signs of concern) Stop him!! (Robots turn to the wolf as Sonic and Tails watch)
Wolf: (smiles and chuckles) Hmph, this will be easy. (Starts wrecking about 40% of them and Sonic and Tails take out a combined 30% of them)
Eggman: (really concerned) ARRGH!! RETREAT!! (Robots/SWATbots retreat) Well once I find what I’m looking for, you WONT be able to stop me!! (Gets hit by thrown robot parts and turns around)
Wolf: I will stop you, even if it’s the last thing I do!!
Eggman: Now who are you??
Wolf: You don’t remember me?? I’m saddened but I shouldn't be surprised since the last time you saw me was 10 years ago WHEN YOU KILLED MY PARENTS!! (Eggman looks confused) You killed my family, you killed my clan: the Myarque (thinking about changing the name…and yes it is a made up word). You destroyed my childhood. I waited 10 years for this, now its time to avenge them.
Eggman: (realizes who he is) So you were that one wolf that got away all those years ago.
Wolf: Yes, I am Ben the Wolf, and I will make sure YOU WONT SUCEDE!!
Eggman: (angered) Arrgh! We will see about that.
Ben: Oh we will, you better start counting down your days Eggman cause will be the Architect of your own defeat. (Eggman leaves, Ben's eyes change from blood red to green/hazel and his claws and teeth retract a bit. He looks more calmly now and turns around) Sonic?? Is that you brotha??
Sonic: Ben?? Oh man, (starts to laugh) it’s been like 10 years, how have you've been??
Ben: (smiles a bit) All right I guess, considering my time with the Mobian Marines and the 'The Fall'
Tails: (looks confused) Sonic, who's this??
Sonic: Old friend of mine, Ben. He was apart of a clan that protected the Great Forest…
Ben: (cuts him off) Until Eggman, known as Robotnik back then, destroyed us, I survived and I think a few others might have survived to. I’m not entirely sure. I know my older and younger sister weren't there when Robotnik attacked. They were both in Mobotropolis. Rachel my older sister was at the university and Ashley, my younger sister was at the nursery when it happened.
Sonic: Mobotropolis fell a week later.
Ben: I know, did the King heed my warning??
Sonic: (sad look) Robotnik attacked faster than anticipated, they weren’t ready.
Tails: Mobotropolis??
Sonic: The city I was born in. Ben visited frequently when...
Ben: Master Paragon Uganda visited the King sometimes. King Max always enjoyed M.P. Uganda’s input.
Sonic: When he was there, Ben hanged out with Uncle Chuck and I.
Ben: Speaking of the King and Chuck, What happened to them??
Sonic: (looking uneasy) I will explain later. Now what is Eggman looking for??
Ben: (looks around) It's not safe here to talk about it, where can we go??
Tails: We can go to my workshop in the Mystic Ruins. It really isn’t too far away.
Sonic: Fastest way to get there would be through Jagged Quarry.
Tails: Sounds about right.
Ben and Sonic: Lets do it, to it. (Looks at each other) Ha!
Ben: aha just like old times.

[Uncle Ben]

Jagged Quarry dialogue:

Sonic: Its good to see your alive and kickin’ Ben
Ben: he he, you know me, I wont go down easily.
Tails: So you grew up with Sonic??
Ben: In a way, before “The Fall” I hanged out with Sonic, Hey Sonic, remember our Chili Dog eating contest??
Sonic: (laughs), Uncle Chuck didn’t like that
Ben: nor did anyone in the palace that day
Sonic: Ha ha yea.
Ben: (impersonating Sally’s voice, poorly) I told you guys this would be a bad idea, look at this mess.
Sonic: (chuckles) it took us a few days to clean it all up too.
Ben: Yea, Good times. But what Eggman is looking for is really serious. He must not get this
Sonic: So what exactly IS he looking for??
Ben: An ancient Artifact known as the TimeShifter. I can’t say much more right now. I have information Eggman CANNOT finds out.
Tails: I never heard of the TimeShifter.
Sonic: Me neither.
Ben: Not surprising at all. The only people who really knew were the Myarque and the Acorn Royal Family. (When Ben mentions the royal family Sonic looks uneasy) You ok Sonic??
Sonic: it’s just something I need to talk to you about alone. Sorry Tails but this is something about the past.
Tails: (looks slightly concerned) Its fine Sonic lets just gets to the workshop
Sonic and Ben: Right!

Stage ends.

(Cut scene: Location: Mystic Ruins. Same day. 2:29 PM. Tails’ Workshop)

Tails: (unlocks the door) Here it is, my little Workshop (little is an understatement here)
Sonic: Wow Tails, you really expanded this place
Tails: Yep
Ben: Little is a bit of an understatement. You got a nice set up here Tails.
Tails: Thanks Ben
Ben: (notices the Tornado 2) This yours Tails??
Tails: Yep. Made it my self!
Ben: (looks at it, looks impressed) Not bad Tails. Now why did you go with the Bi-plane design??
Tails: It actually turns into a jet also (transforms it)
Ben: (Ben’s jaw drops) That is ingenious Tails. (Feels wings and body of the Tornado 2) Excellent craftsman ship Tails. And your, what, only 10??
Tails: Yes sir.
Ben: Incredible. Anyways, Down to business. Eggman is looking for the TimeShifter.
Sonic: Why?? What does it do??
Ben: (Looks a bit annoyed) I was getting to that. It is a fabled device, it looks like a hammer that’s is said to do incredible things. It can erase items from existence, slow time, and many other incredible things.
Tails: So why does Eggman want it.
Ben: (concerned) For the one thing it was fabled for: The gift of Immortality.
Sonic: Now I can see why Eggman wants it. Him being immortal would be bad
Ben: Yes, Eggman being immortal is a bad thing indeed. Just the thought of us fighting him and knowing that we can never truly beat him shutters me. Now I don’t know too much about it but I know where I can get more information on it. Two places actually.
Tails: So were we just at one of the places??
Ben: Unfortunately no. We were at an old outpost for us. Nature took it back even though it was already weaved into Nature.
Tails: Well, where are the locations??
Ben: Myarque’s main base in the Great Forest, which is very difficult to get to, and Mobotropolis.
Sonic: But Mobotropolis was taken over by Eggman years ago, you know this Ben.
Ben: Yea. But the King had back-up files in Knothole in case Mobotropolis
Sonic: But I can’t go back there.
Ben: Why?? Something happen??
Sonic: Yea I will tell you in a bit. Let’s check out the base.
Tails. Yea
Ben: In a second Skippy, I want to get help from someone first.
Tails: Who?
Ben: Knuckles. Chances are this may become a wild goose chase and if it does Knuckles will be in a good hand to help us.
Sonic: Good idea. So we are off to Angel Island??
Ben: Yea. Wait, isn’t it a floating island?
Tails: Yea.
Sonic: So are we off in the Tornado Tails???
Tails: Yea. Wait how will Ben get there??
Ben: Don’t worry. (Uses radio) Hey Alva, I’m going to need a ‘copter.
Gen. Alvakirk: Got it Ben, It will be there in a moment and its all yours.
Sonic and Tails: Alva??
Ben: Major General Alvakirk. He is the head of the Mobian Marines. He took me in after “The Fall” and basically raised me as his own. He doesn’t give me any special treatment.
Tails: Then how can you get a “bird”?
Ben: This is my special mission; Alva said I could get what I need as long as I don’t destroy everything. I much rather have my K-10 Thunderbird (similar to the American A-10 Thunderbolt) but a ‘copter will work for right now (it arrives outside) If you guys want we can all go into the ‘copter together. It will fit us all.
Sonic: Sounds good. (They all leave the workshop)
Ben: Thanks Raymond. Guys this is my half-cousin Raymond Remington
Raymond: Nice to meet you guys. Ben, I’m going back to base, Radio if you need anything
Ben: Got it (Raymond leaves in a different helicopter) Ok guys get in and buckle up. (Both nod and Ben pulls down his sunglasses) Tyrone (his sunglasses A.I.) boot up flight interface and lets get flyin’
Tails: You know how to fly right?
Ben: Of course (tosses them radios) In case we get split and the fact that the ‘copter is loud it will be better if you have these (they put them on) Channel 4.
Sonic: Ok you know how to get there??
Ben: My A.I. knows where it is. Lets go. (They all board and they fly off)

(Meanwhile in another part of the world. 2:30 P.M.)

Eggman: With that blasted Hedgehog going after me and with that Wolf helping him out I may need a bit of help. (He stops in front of a house and knocks hard)
Man: Now who’s at the door (opens door and is astonished) Dr. Robotnik??
Eggman: ITS EGGMAN NOW SNIVLEY!!! I will need your help stopping the Hedgehog
Snivley: But…I… uh…
Eggman: NOW!!!
Snivley: (shaking) yes sir… where are we going sir.
Eggman: Angel Island. They will ask for help and I know how to stop them. (They leave)

(Around 2:54 P.M. everyone is quiet. Ben is flying, Tails is asleep, and Sonic is looking out the sides. Everyone seems to be having Flashbacks. Sonic’s Flashback)

(10 Years ago. 1 day after the end of The Great War. Young Sonic is on the outskirts of town and a friend of his tells him a message)

Sonic: Hey what’s going on??
Johnny: I heard Uncle Chuck is looking for you
Sonic: How come??
Johnny: Not sure, he wasn’t happy.
Sonic: Uh oh. Better go see him

(Stage: City Streets--- Stage is Sonic running through Mobotropolis towards the Castle and Uncle Chuck’s Lab.) (At the lab)

Sonic: Hey Uncle Chuck, what’s up?
Uncle Chuck: Sonic did you forget to pay for Chilidogs again??
Sonic: Oops
Uncle Chuck: That’s not good Sonic
Sonic: I’m sorry Uncle Chuck.
Uncle Chuck: And how were you able to eat 56 Chilidogs?
Sonic: Cause I’m your nephew?? (He smiles as he says that)
Uncle Chuck: (he smiles and laughs) ha ha that is true. (They hug) (End flashback)

(Angel Island 5:56 P.M.)
Ben: Wake up boys we are here.
Sonic: I was always awake
Tails: (sleepily) I wasn’t…
Ben: All right let me land this puppy. (Hovers and lands) All right lets find Knuckles.
Sonic: He should be at the Alter of the Master Emerald.
Ben: Got it.
(They all get off and walk towards the Alter)
Sonic: Hey there Knuckles
Knuckles: Hey Sonic and Tails, it’s been awhile. (Looks at Ben) Who are you??
Ben: No need to worry I’m a friend. My name is Ben
Knuckles: Got it, I’m Knuckles, so why are you guys are here??
Tails: Eggman is at it again.
Sonic: He is looking for the TimeShifter.
Knuckles: He’s looking for a Legend??
Sonic: Ben claims it isn’t a legend.
Ben: It’s real, I know where to find information, it’s just that if this become sort of wild goose chase for, say pieces of a key or something, we will need your help
Knuckles: Why would you need my help??
Sonic: Aren’t you the “World’s Greatest Treasure Hunter??”
Knuckles: I am. I guess I can help but still why?
Ben: Well in the end this is probably gonna be a wild goose chase so we don’t wanna run around like headless chickens and we will probably need to find 6 more of these (pulls out the green Chaos Emerald)
All but Ben: A Chaos Emerald???
Knuckles: Where did you find it??
Ben: Found it one day, it was just sitting on the forest floor one day. But we will need all of them.
Sonic: Why?
Ben: I have a feeling the room where it is kept will need the emeralds to open the door.
Tails: It would make sense.
(Ben’s sunglasses emits a warning sound)
Tails: What’s happening??
Ben: Something is inbound!!
Sonic: Eggman?
Ben: Not sure… wait, Missile inbound towards the island
Knuckles: Its probably heading towards… (Knuckles runs towards the alter, the rest follow) (They reach the top)
Knuckles: Where is it going to hit?
Ben: (His Sunglasses is showing data, too much for him to process at once and his eyes are spinning) I can’t tell!!
(An explosion happens, knocking them off the alter. Everyone is slow to get up. Ben picks up a piece of the Master Emerald.)
Knuckles: NO!!! (All run to the top of the Alter to see the Master Emerald has been destroyed.)
Sonic: (head down and rolls his eyes) not again…
Ben: Eggman must of shot a rocket at it. He knew we would ask for Knuckles help.
Tails: This isn’t good…
Knuckles: Sorry guys. I want to help but this is a priority for me.
Ben: No worries, you have to do your duties. But can you help as best as you can?
Knuckles: Yea I will.
Ben: (tosses the piece of the Master Emerald) Gotta start somewhere…
Sonic: Well what’s next Ben?
Ben: Go to the base and get info. Lets go, good luck Knuckles. (They leave)
Sonic: So we are off to the Great Forest??
Ben: Yea. We must be careful now that Eggman may be in the area.
Tails: Mind if we camp out for now?? It getting kinda late out here.
Sonic: That may be a good idea
Ben: Agreed (walks to the ‘copter) Luckily I got supplies for us in here. Hope you guys like this powder crap we have in the Marines. It mixes with water. Now I got Beef, Chicken and Pork… I’m warning you, it may taste bad at first but it’s got all the nutrients we need.
Sonic: I call the beef (Ben tosses a bottle of water and the packet)
Tails: Chicken sounds good (Ben tosses water and the chicken)
Ben: All right dig in. (they all drink and ‘eat’ they cough after drinking it) told you it tastes bad at first.

(Several Hours later, Tails is asleep)

(Sonic is standing and looking at the moon)
Ben: Cant sleep??
Sonic: Sort of, just thinking…
Ben: About what?
Sonic: Uncle Chuck…
Ben: What happened to him??
Sonic: He was Robotisized.
Ben: WHAT?? Eggman you son of a gun…
Sonic: Yea. When Mobotropolis fell most of the citizens were Robotisized. Uncle Chuck originally made it to preserve life but Robotnik got his hands on it. Used it for his own design… Chuck was the first one. He was able to warn Rosie and She was able to get us out of there.
Ben: Sonic, I’m sorry to hear this… What about the king??
Sonic: He was originally sent to the Void but we were able to get him out of there. After we got him out we dealt a major blow to Robotnik but he wouldn’t let us capitalize on it. He wanted us to stop and try to build Knothole better as the new capital. I argued that we could end it and reclaim Mobotropolis and rebuild from there but he wouldn’t hear it. I continued to argue and he banished me… It didn’t seem right at all. He changed during his time in the Void…
Ben: Wow… strange… But why would he do that?? It seems so uncharacteristic of him. The people know you as a hero, and Folks need heroes.
Sonic: Don’t know.
Ben: Now what about Sally and the rest??
Sonic: She was devastated; she wouldn’t talk to her father for a while. She threatens to leave but the King made sure she wouldn’t leave. I believe he has made sure that any letters or communication from her to me is blocked. It was hard for us. I like her Ben… I miss her.
Ben: I know you do. When I go to Knothole want me to talk to the King and get your banishment removed and perhaps deliver a message to her??
Sonic: It’s fine…
Ben: Right. I understand now. Thanks for telling me this… I’m sorry Sonic
Sonic: Thanks Ben. Anything you want to talk about??
Ben: It’s been nearly 10 years… I haven’t seen my sisters since that one day I went to Mobotropolis… I haven’t heard from them… maybe I will run into them when I go to Knothole. They are my only family I have left. The marines have kept me far away from Mobotropolis and knothole to the point that we never hear anything that goes on over there. It sucks when you are away for so long especially when you don’t hear about your family if something went wrong. Anyways, lets get some sleep, busy day tomorrow.
Sonic: Right.


(Next day, 10:23 A.M.)

Ben: You guys ready to go??
Sonic: Yea
Tails: I’m good.
Ben: Let’s go (they take off)
(Flying over Ice Cap)
Ben: Something’s off…
Sonic: Like what??
Ben: Eggman destroyed the Master Emerald. You’d think he would still be around or at least we would see or hear SOMETHING from him.
Tails: Yea
Sonic: Maybe it was a long-range rocket??
Ben: Seems plausible
(Alarm goes off)
Ben: Oh here we go, this is going to get bumpy guys.
Sonic: There he is!! (They see a large ship surrounded by helicopters and planes, all bearing Eggman’s insignia.)
(Transmission sent to the three)
Eggman: Now I don’t want to kill you guys cause that wouldn’t be so fun, so I will spare you if you give me the locations of the items need to locate the TimeShifter.
Ben: (eyes turn red) BURN IN HELL EGGMAN!!
Eggman: Your choice. You all die.
Tails: There is a plane behind us… it-fired missiles. (Missile alarms go off)
Ben: Flares Out!! Flares Out!!! (Flares fly out and missiles go off course and hit Eggman’s drones. A plane flies at the Black Hawk and glass shatters hitting Ben but he doesn’t appear hurt.)
Sonic: Ben what you want us to do??
Ben: (looks out the side) You will have to jump. There are parachutes next you guys. Use them and jump!! Wait for my signal.
Tails: Ok
Ben (fires guns and takes down plans) HA HA!!! Hold on guys I’m gonna clear the skies a bit.
Sonic: Ok, you sure you will be all right
Ben: Fine, I have been in worse. (Destroys more but he is being hit more.) Ok…3 2 1, JUMP!! (They jump out after a moment they land on a mountain valley)
Tails: Where do we go?
Ben: Great Forest: Area 32, Sector 7.
Sonic: You jumping Ben??
Ben: Give me a bit I’m going to take down as much of Eggman’s toys as I can. Take that you pesky little pipsqueak!!
Sonic: You sure you know what you’re doing??
Ben: Yea… I have done this before.
Tails: Just be careful Ben
Ben: I will Tails.
Tails: Ok
Sonic: we will meet you there.
Ben: Roger that Sonic.
(They leave but they are still watching the dogfight in the skies. Ben is being overwhelmed but he is handling it well)
Ben: (Explosion. Sensors are going off like crazy) DAMMIT I’M HIT!!!
Sonic: Are you all right??
Ben: Yea… Trying to stabilize… Damn I can’t stabilize it… go to the ruins. I’m jumping now!!
(They see Ben jump out and the helicopter spins out and explodes. He lands on the mountains)
Tails: Where did you land?
Ben: I landed on top of the mountain… I can use the bit of the propeller as an impromptu snowboard. I’ll meet you guys at the base. Ben out, for now.

sorry for not posting for awhile. School work kept me busy. I re-did parts of part 3 and i will add the revisions sometime soon. Part four should be set by friday (as long as im not swamped with homework and that good stuff) When i post part 4 this will be removed and part 4 will be here.

(Stage begins Dark Valley)

Sonic: All right. To the Great Forest we go
Tails: Will Ben be all right??
Sonic: Yea he should be. Ben’s tough and can survive anywhere.
Tails: Where has he been for all these years??
Sonic: Ben is apart of the old Mobian Marines, a part of the armed forces of Mobotropolis. After Eggman coup they went and fought Eggman, but some Overlanders still fought them so they couldn’t help much
Tails: didn’t the war end at that time??
Sonic: it did. Some Overlanders wouldn’t have it though. I think we are here.
(End stage)

(11:45 AM. Sonic and Tails are near a giant tree in the middle of the Great Forest. They see the roots lead to a base and can see buildings within the ground)

Tails: This it??
Sonic: I believe so…
Voice: Took you guys long enough…
Sonic: Who’s there
Ben: Whom do ya think?? I beat the fastest thing alive here
Sonic: Yea sure you did. If you want we can race later…
Voice: Sonic…
Ben: (pulls his kukri out slightly) hmm??
Sonic: I know that voice… (Shadow appears in front of them)
Shadow: I think its time for battle fight Sonic.
Ben: Sonic, this dude looks like your shadow.
Tails: He basically is his shadow.
Ben: (looks at the camera) Well that’s a little redundant. Give ‘em hell Sonic.
(Sonic and Shadow Fight. Ends a draw)

(They both get sent flying backwards and both land on their feet)
Sonic: You haven’t missed a beat Shadow.
Shadow: Neither have you
Ben: (fires Magnum in the air) Sonic, We don’t have that much time to kill ya know.
Sonic: Right but we gotta have some fun.
Ben: (he smiles) That’s true.
Shadow: Who’s this
Ben: I’m Ben. And you are??
Shadow: I’m the Ultimate Life Form, Shadow.
Ben: (information passes through his visor) I have heard about you. Created by renowned scientist Prof. Gerald Robotnik to find the cure for N.I.D.S., which his granddaughter Maria was stricken with. Thought to be immortal but simply immune to illness and diseases he was created with the help of Black Doom. G.U.N. Shut it down in fear of what you could become resulting in the ARK incident. Since then, in an ironic turn of events you help G.U.N. from time to time.
Shadow: You did your homework.
Ben: Its good to be in the know.
Sonic: Shadow has helped us from time to time.
Tails: He is a kind of a loner.
Shadow: So what brings you guys here?
Sonic: We are trying to stop Eggman. He’s trying to get something that will make him immortal.
Shadow: Him being immortal will be bad
Tails: No kidding
Shadow: Count me in
Ben: Just like that??
Shadow: Just like that. No one should be immortal.
Ben: Couldn’t agree more. Ok let’s go in and see what we can find. Let me lead.
Sonic: Why?
Ben: Defenses. I do not know if they still work. If you were to lead and they were still active… well, you would be like Swiss cheese.
Tails: Good Call
Ben: Now the door is opened by a password in our language. It says Mi soha nem hal meg?? It translates to “What never dies??” Anyone wanna take a shot?
Tails: Electricity

Ben: On the contrary, most of the fighting happened here. We sealed the library and other rooms after they were fully cleared out so they wouldn’t be damaged. This room and a few other rooms took heavy damage.
Sonic: So where do we go?
Ben: Straight ahead was the Great Library. You can find books and tomes about ANYTHING in the past 2000 years or so… with the exception of the past 10.
Tails: Of course.
Ben: Do not be alarmed if a Chao comes in. They were always welcomed here. Magnificent creatures they are.
Sonic: (he chuckles)
Tails: (finds a picture of everyone before the attack) Ben is this everyone??
Ben: (Looks at the picture) It is… strange, everyone looks so different than from what I remember. (Ben looks sad.)
Shadow: So where is this library??
Ben: Right this way… (Leads the group through the hall, they arrive at a door)
Sonic: Is this the way?
Ben: Yes its right throu… (He stops and notices the door is open, he pulls out his kukri) Something is not right here… the door should be sealed.
Tails: Could someone get in here?
Ben: Theoretically yes and no.
Shadow: Theoretically??
Ben: Well they could come in but they must be good at sneaking around…
Sonic: What do you want us to do??
Tails: Whoever it is may still be here…
Ben: Right, spread out. (everyone spreads out) They could be anywhere… (notices something off in the corner by a cabinet)
Sonic: I got noting so far
Shadow: Nothing so far…
Ben: (He opens the cabinet and pulls out a Bat, Rouge, and slams her to the ground and pulls is knife and holds it against her. Ben’s eyes are blood red at this point) WHO SENT YOU?? DID EGGMAN SEND YOU, HUH??
Sonic: (He runs over and sees what’s going on. He does not realize its Rouge yet) Find them??
Ben: Yea.
Rouge: Let me go!!
Ben: Not until you answer my questions first: Who are you, what are you doing in here and HOW did you get in here??
Sonic: Ben, That’s Rouge. She’s a friend of ours… (Ben lets go of her) But what are you doing here Rouge. (Everyone else arrives)
Rouge: Nice to see you too Sonic. I heard about these ruins and I thought there would be treasure here.
Shadow: Some things never change…
Ben: (Ben is clearly skeptical) There are no treasures of value here. How did you get in??
Rouge: (points up.) Dug through the roof. (They all look up and see a hole in the dirt ceiling)
Sonic: The tree roots don’t cover the entire base does it Ben??
Ben: Sort of… there is patches that aren’t covered by roots. But I still don’t believe you here looking for treasure.
Rouge: You got to believe me. (Ben’s sunglasses emit a scanner like laser at Rouge. It goes up and down and emits a beep when it is done.) What are you doing??
Ben: Seeing if you are lying or not. (Information displays in front of him) Rouge the Bat. Age 20, a Government spy, (jokingly) great just what we need a government spy, and a Treasure hunter slash Jewel thief, that explains why you were here. Assign to watch and report whatever Eggman was doing during the ARK Crisis a few years back she has helped the Gov’t. to take down Eggman and all that good stuff. (Puts his kukri away) Your story checks out. Sorry for being so hostile.
Rouge: Its fine, but why are you so protective of this place.
Ben: I am the last of the Myarque… well last known one.
Rouge: That explains a lot. Sorry for snooping around.

Rouge: What are you boys doing, going after Eggman??
Sonic: When aren’t we? (Rouge laughs) We believe Eggman is looking for the TimeShifter.
Rouge: That ancient artifact?? I thought it was a Myth.
Ben: Its not, this library does contain information about it.
Rouge: Well what do you want me to do.
Ben: If you really are a treasure hunter, you can track down the 6 remaining Chaos Emeralds.
Rouge: Six?
Tails: Ben has one.
Rouge: I can do that…
Ben: Good. Shadow can you go and find out what Eggman is doing right now??
Shadow: Sure (Ben toss him a radio) I’ll contact you if I find something. (Runs out)
Rouge: I’ll go look for the Emeralds. (Ben tosses her a radio) Bye Boys. I’ll be in touch. (She leaves through the hole in the ceiling.)
Ben: Right. Now this book should be (Scans the shelves) Here it is (grabs it).
Tails: What does it say??
Sonic: Anything about it.
Ben: Yea. Its in some Temple hidden somewhere. (Scans through the book) Just what I feared… this is only half of the Tome. The other one has to be in Mobotropolis.
Sonic: But it is under Eggman’s control!!
Ben: The Royal Family’s Library is located in Knothole. They have it in a hidden location there. When Eggman took over I’m sure they hid the books or else Eggman would be looking for it years ago.
Tails: Seems likely.
Sonic: Want us to stop Eggman gaining any more ground.
Ben: Yes. I’ll go to Knothole and look for the other volume for this. (Ben seals the library and they all leave the base) I hear something...
