I downloaded the public demo and have had a blast playing it and showing it to my friends. Just out of curiousity, I wondered what the rest of FUS thought about Capcom's newest entry into the Resident Evil franchise. Anyone play the demo? What did you think? Do you even care? TALK ABOUT IT DAMN YOU!!!

Trust me. You don't want to pair 4 & 5.

4 is often considered the best in the series, while 5 is thought of a cop-out, by comparison.

I like all of them because of their own things........since i grew up with a Dad who beat the first two and Metal Gear Solid, im pretty good.

I will buy and play it as I did with all the RE franchise, but personaly this one looks horrible.

Every new RE is worst than the one before, only RE Zero is an exception.

RE Zero, 1, 2, 3 and Veronica are the true RE, a survival game
RE 4,5 are an action game
Personaly RE 6, is a new Gears of War, speaking about gameplay. I love Gears of War franchise and sincerely, I see RE 6 a poor copy of it. The first seconds I play the RE 6 demo, I was saying WTF every second, when I see you are atacking military people intead of horribles and disgusting zombies...I lost completely interest, but well, I love all co-op action/infiltration game so I think I will enjoy it, but personaly RE lost a lot when they decide change survival for action. I would throw money on they if they decide release another real survival/horror game old school co-op.

And the banner of the RE 6 is....well, is...call it weird, the 6...I don't know if they do intentionaly or just was random but I lmao every time I see it

I used to dislike Leon. But I think he's developed as a character.

I like Leon, why you dislike him?. The only character I dislike from RE is the girl of RE 4.

Eh, i don't really know who my fav is. Probably Leon is 2. Because it was his first day as a cop.

I don't have any favourite character, I just like all...except that kid on RE 4....One of the best moments is when Lion throw the knife on his hand and I feel like "SHUT UP DAM!"&5&!"N KID" xaxaxa

While i actually kinda miss the old game controls, i'm glad they changed them to the standard 3rd person shooter style. If it was the normal RE style, it'd be a bit too hard.

Probably my biggest surprise so far is Cherry. She's a little girl from RE2, and now she's here, grown up, with a GUN.

Not really. I'm not glad with the 3rd person change...but was necesary of course. Few people still like the "lock-camera" style (I don't remember the exactly word but you know, Resident evil was photos without movement), is funny how they play with the blind point of the photo and you know there is a zombi there, but you can't see it(nice way to cause you put nervous) and there is no way to see it. Hapens on 3 with Nemesis. You know he is in another photo, and you know he is running to you...one of the thing I fear when I was young was that...you hear Nemesis running to you, but you aren't able to see it until he is very near and late to react.

The lock-camera is FOR ME, the most important symbol of Resident Evil, and I feel sad when they removed, but is true that people look now for the graphics, and the lock camera style is old. I'm glad they at least still make old school game, I was really really happy when I heared about RE zero.

The "Lock-Camera" thing i liked. A lot. But i also like what they did for the rest.

I think they said they had to change to the lock camera thing because the game was deemed to scary originally.

While it looks pretty out-of-place for the series, I think it's still pretty interesting. I mean, we already have Silent Hill, but...

While that is VERY out of place, i find it scarier than the released RE4.

It's quite possible that the gameplay, itself, would've been fairly awkward (not that that would've been anything new to the series). But part of me is still rather disappointed Capcom didn't go through with this version. Psychological horror is my favorite.

Personaly I like RE4 because is pretty funny play it on Wii version, even Wii version is a cancer for your eyes, more if you play it on a 37" television, the pixel are more big than my head lol. I never liked so much RE4 on controller, I rarely could like RE5 if it don't had co-op mode.

I had a huge reply for this topic half typed up before my computer screwed me. I'll post my thoughts on the Resident Evil series in general and my time with RE6 tomorrow. Glad to see this topic picked up over the week.

I've had a day or so to play RE6 and I hafta say I see the comparison with Gears. I imagine it'll be more prevelant when I get to playing as Chris. For the time being i'm playing Leon's campaign, and I get a serious RE2 vibe from it so far. There are new enemy types to add some flavor to the traditional zombie formula in addition to your standard flavor of zombie. The atmosphere is tense as all hell and i've jumped more than a few times while playing. I've also died more times than I can count. I've had a lot of fun with mercenaries mode as well. The overall speed of the game makes a mode that used to be kind of difficult fernetic and fun. I had some fun co op in the campaign as well, but I still think the game dosen't necessarily need online co op to be fun. Ammo is still dropped by enemies, but i've found myself running out here and there. The ammo containers from RE4 and RE5 make a return, but they seem less obvious to me at least. Overall i'd say the game is a high note for the series, definitely better than 5 in almost every way. I don't particularly care for the inventory system, as I can carry more guns than I think any RE should allow. I'll have more to say after a while if anyone's interested.
