@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I was talking to some of the people on campus about Sonic Generations and the one thing we kept mentioning was the fact that Crisis City was in the game... even though Sonic '06 (technically) never happened. So wouldnt this create some sort of time paradox or something??
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

I'm not sure what you mean because I didn't finished '06 (I nearly finish it) but looks like I eat a big spoilá.

About the time paradox...well. I always found Sonic a bit chaotic..not a clearly storyline, not a clearly place, and now with blaze/silver and generations not a clearly sense of time and space at least for me so Isn't extrange a time paradox appear in one game

sorry about the spoiler. when you finish the game you'll see what i mean. But since the '06 story technically never happened, my question is why its in Generations. i love the Crisis City version in generations but im saying its a paradox

Why? 2 easy answers:

Is a remake of old Sonics, put modern era without Sonic 06 is like "Hey, the game is so sh1t that we don't put a single stage of it". Also is weird if they ignore Sonic '06 (I could understand some weird games like Shuffle, racing of spinball, but obviusly they can't "jump" Sonic 2006"

Why crisis city? For me the 1/2 stages I only enjoy (The second is Wave ocean or Ocean wave, I don't remember good "The inlet"). I'm not saying is funny or not, I just said I only see 2 potential stages, and Generations had already Seaside hill.

So my answer is easy, they couldn't jump Sonic 06 and Crisis city is the only suitable stage.

From a story perspective, maybe when the events of '06 were "erased from history," it actually created a split in time. So, while Sonic and the gang have no recollection of the events of '06 (in the current timeline), they're still linked to the locales.

Or something...

If you've beaten the game you know there is a timeparadox.

Well, like I said, if it hapens...don't surprise me. Maybe if they have a clear storyline I could say "omg fail! time paradox" but well...time paradox is not really surprise me, more when I saw the Sonic generation parody...

"Hey Blaze, what are you doing here"
"Eat cake"
"You travel dimensions just for ....cake"

Travel time/space on Sonic is a joke...well, few Sonic games don't have time/space travel.

Here is the video--> contains pingas at 4:20 :awesome: and the best weapon for kill chaos/time eater

Why does Sonic always lose the Chaos Emeralds, why is Silver and Blaze around, why is Knuckles never on the Floating Island protecting the Master Emerald, where are the rest of the Chaotix, is rouge still working for the government,....

Frankly, I chalk it all up to sega not being track of their stories more than anything.

Are you trying to say it's Sega's job too keep their continuities straight? That's just silly. It's the fans job to make sense of everything. :P

I do really dig that simplicity. It'd be nice if they had continued to use that method of story telling. I'd prefer that each game's plot was somewhat open-ended, as opposed to the convoluted mess it is now. In my opinion, Sega's been trying to make the series feel way too serious to the point that it feels out of place and cumbersome. It's a series about talking cartoon animals, for crying out loud.

EDIT: Aaand once again, I derail the conversation. My bad.

Sonic generations have some fails. If we want be sniveller (First time I use this word, I'm not sure if is right) for example Tails Haden't recognize Green Hill when he was there in some random games, like Sonic Drift or Sega Tennis for example...but well, I'm bored of try to make a true storyline, I Just think now every Sonic is different and hadn't any connection with the before.

Crisis was a very recognizable level. Also my favorite. And it's a game. And TIME PARADOX?!?!

Taking the fact that time is more of a ball than a straight line, it could be possible.

All of this "TIME PARADOX" is giving me Metal Gear Solid 3 flashbacks, for those who've played it.

The whole game is a giant Time Paradox (not to give anything away). The very nature of the storyline lends itself to recreating Crisis City if you think about it. Sure, the events of Sonic 06 were undone in that game (and forgotten by the gaming community at large since that game is soo god awful). But the Time Eater is capable of bending time and space to its whims more or less, and the creature has a very specific reason for freezing various moments in Sonic's life. Why Crisis City when no one should remember it? Perhaps someone does, that would explain the whole thing.
