Characters That Need To Be Changed

Let me rephrase that.
I don't hate Sally, I think she's a really good character. She's unique in both personality and design, which makes her iconic in the series.
But when I said that she's no longer needed, I didn't mean "axed off" or anything like that. What I meant to say was "put aside" or "have her role toned down". Yes, she's the perfect girl for Sonic and she currently has a lot on her shoulders as royalty, but it feels like the series puts more focuses on her than Sonic or any other character.
That's because Archie Sonic poorly portrayed her. She was given alot of spotlight, but did mostly useless stuff with it, or was involved in pointless love dramas. If she actually was molded into a competent tomboy Freedom Fighter like Bunnie and played to her strengths, I don't think the fanbase would care as much about her spotlight then.
You know, when I really think about it, I can't say I blame the Sally haters entirely. She's in alot of stories, but has done next to nothing to be worthy of all of this attention.
Here, I think this picture explains my point:
I'm not saying Sally should be kicked out of the series, just toned down so that other characters can get some spotlight.
I think this picture is really over-exaggerating Sally's excessive spotlight, but I'll agree she's been given too much screentime. I'm all for other characters getting a shot, but the way Ian did it was not a solution in the least. Sally is still a major part of it, but only now a robotic villain.
How is this supposed to please anyone? Her haters are angry that's she's still a main focus, and alot of her fans are ticked that's she been subjected to this abuse.
To this day, I wonder what Ian was thinking when he thought this arc it up. This story just literally makes no sense.

I wonder how they will de robotisize her. thats my question
Naugus' Deus Ex Machina magic.
I'm almost 100% certain that's the way it'll go, should Sally ever be restored. Not to mention that's the style of fix Ian is famous for anyhow.

Probably if anything. Or Sonic will get the 7 emeralds and so some crazy crap.

That's a possibility too I'll admit.

SEGA couldn't do that either. Some of their fans dislike the Archie/SatAM characters and storyline. So by default they are put on opposing sides.
Probably the reason why SEGA is so picky about the mediums crossing.

Ian's way of one upping every one. It's not going very well.
Understatement of the year.
Not really. You got the SatAM fans on one hand, the SEGA/Game fans on the other, and the long time Comic followers in between. At best you'll a C grade no matter what you do.
That is a very good point. You'll never please all 3 groups at once.
Although, they could at least try to not tick off one when pleasing another.
2/3rds is only about 66-67%. You don't even make it to a B-.

Yea, that and the fact I think Sega vehemently hates this universe of Sonic in general. The only reason they keep it around is because it apparently does make them money.
Wish they would apply that same logic to their games, even if it was nothing more than a DLC. I think it would net them a nice little profit if they gave it a chance.

I think SEGA is trying to abolish canon sorta like Mario. There really isn't a storyline. However Sonic is too rooted in storylines to do that.
Good point.
The storylines are confusing if you try to put them together
Yea, especially considering Sonic's been pretty much all over the place game wise the last 7 years. No consistency to it whatsoever.
