Who else liked this? i did when i was 13 when i bought all 3 of them and remembered how neat the Downunda Freedom Fighters were but the ram robot was silly if you ask me and i did had the hots for Barby but who thinks she looks like a mouse than a Koala? i mean there's not many white koalas you know.

I didn't really like the Tails mini-series. My big issue with it was the fact that the Downunda Freedom Fighters stole the spotlight from Tails.

Besides spines Sonic don't look much like a hedgehog. Knuckles looks nothing like an Echidna, Rouge only has bat wings, I think they tried to make her fit in as a Sonic character more then as a koala.

I disagree. Character design-wise, she's a miscolored animal like Sonic, Knuckles, and Blaze. She also wears the typical Gloves and Shoes all the normal characters wear. In fact you could argue her design fits better then most of the SatAM and Archie cast.

Sonic and Knuckles use very bright, energetic colors for specific reasons (especially Sonic, whose blueness is a major character trait.) They each have identifying traits, some considered part of their animal namesake and some more for gameplay purposes but all very cool and iconic.
Barby is white and black because... koalas and pandas are easy mixed up? She wears boots and gloves but they're so bad that no Sega character would ever put them on. She has a utility belt that she never uses, and that's it... no identifying traits aside from some tiny claws on the back of her rubber gloves that don't really even look like they do anything.
Her design is so badly generic and boring it could only come from Archie, and nothing on her looks remotely koala-y. She fails on both ends.

Koala's do have claws. They have a large portion of white on their bodies and their ears tend to have darker fur on them. You could actually say they reversed her gray and white on her body.
Also if she is white her gloves would have to stand out on her because (like with Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny) the gloves purpose is actually to give a better appearance to the hands.
Echidna's don't have claws and both Knuckles and Sonic's designs are the generic cartoon character's design (Big shoes and gloves).
Compared to Sally or Bunny or even Amy her design is closer to Sonic and Knuckles then most of the other characters.

Very true. I was just indirectly responding to the proposed question of whether or not she looks more like a mouse than a koala. To be more explicit, yes, I think she does. Having said that, Wombat Stu doesn't look like a wombat either. In fact he doesn't look like anything.

Wouldn't sound too out of place in Sonic Underground frankly... have you SEEN some of the whacked out mobians that appeared in that show?
