@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

The best animated show ever made! loved it since i was 10 when it first came out and been a Batman fan since 1989 as i knew one day they do an animated show, loved this since i saw the sneek preview episode that aired 20 years ago in August called "On Leather Wings" and it kicked major a$$ i should say.

Great stories, nice art and terrific writing with amazing voice actors makes this a winner.

I couldn't agree more. The whole series is a milestone in the history of television.

I also love the spin-off series: "Superman: The Animated Series", "Batman Beyond", "New Batman/Superman Adventures", "Justice League", and "Justice League Unlimited". And lets not forget the animated films: "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm", "Batman: Subzero", and "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker".

They all take place within the same universe and all of them were equally good.

DCAU as it's called.

Also includes Static Shock and Zeta Project (maybe on the last one.)

Batman TAS is the best out of all of them though. It also was that nice medium between the Dark Batman and the Goofy Batman.

Oh, that goofy Batman...

Yeah. When I was little, Batman was the coolest thing in the world to me. And it's probably thanks to BTAS.

According to a survey/poll/whatever hosted by IGN, while Marvel has better villains, Heroes, Movies, and Games, DC had better TV series.
Source: http://www.ign.com/a...inner-is-chosen

This is probably due to the fact that Batman the animated Series was awesome beyond all reason and that it spawned all the DCAU shows. Als it's probably due to that WB had owned DC for a long time while Disney only recently got a hold of Marvel. DC had a steady source animated shows while Marvel jumped around more giving different qualities and less crossovers.

Okay...yeah that pretty much killed all DC games up until Batman Arkham Asylum

Actually I'm surprised on that one. Most Marvel games actually have average or lower ratings. Of course DC games tend to be the same way....

BTAS is definitely among the most memorable of cartoons I watched when I was young alongside the Superman series that aired on the back of it. Sadly, I've never gone back to watch it, mostly because it's not on youtube (to my knowledge). Interestingly enough, I've gone back and watched Batman Beyond a number of times, and recently saw "Return of the Joker" for the first time ever. Really loved the atmosphere of both series. It's up there with SatAM for me.

New Batman Adventures is on Youtube but I can't find some of the older ones.

I broke down and bought Volume 1 and 3 (couldn't find 2) of the series.

Visually stunning, and dark as night. I really liked this series. I don't consider it to be great, but I can understand why everyone else does. However, I will say that the BTAS movie "Mask of the Phantasm" is probably my favorite Batman film, next to The Dark Knight Rises.

Mask of Phantasm was great. I actually first saw it about a month ago and I'm still quite impressed with how it turned out.

While I don't know of any complete online archives, you can find quite a few full episodes on the WB's official site.

Wow that's great. Will have to give it a look this Sunday when I have time

I'll get around to it soon enough. I'd actually never heard of it until a friend brought it to my attention around the same time he showed me "Return of the Joker." The only scene he showed me was the one where Robin is getting caned. Pretty brutal stuff, even when they cut away. I'm amazed they got away with that much violence, but then again it was a feature length that I assume wasn't broadcasted on the WB.
