When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Does anyone even still care that I used to write fanfiction? I know this is oddly self serving, and I only post once in a great while, so the average user on FUS probably has no idea who I am anymore. But I can't help being a little curious at times if I should go back to my previous past time of writing Sonic fanfiction. Over the past few years several things got in the way and kept me from writing like I wanted to (jobs, girlfriends, writer's block, etc) and I couldn't help but think I wrote myself into a corner with the last chapter to my Introductions series of fics. Truth be told I had several stories planned after, but i'm a bit weird about these kinds of things and won't work on a different fanfic until I finish the previous one. To add fuel to the fire, with my recent (though not so recent anymore) move, I fried my old computer that had all my previous work on it. I had been thinking of going back and re-writing my earlier fics since i've grown soo much since I was like 14 when I started writing these. I know, 12 years and only three completed fics right? Therin lies my question; that is to say, would anyone read if I wrote again? By now what fans I had are surely long gone, (if you're not, kudos for sticking around) and while I may write them anyway for my own enjoyment, having the motivation of people's critique would definitely help to light a fire under my ass.

Basically, I just want to know if FUS at large would be interested in reading Wild's adventures. At least some of them feature Wild heavily, but I tried in later years to take focus off of my admitted self-insert character and place it more on Sonic and Co. Hell, I only really liked the first bits of Steel Assassin out the gate, and i'm sure those are on here somewhere in archive. My works used to be on TKN way back when, and that had a good chunk of Steel Assassin on it. Enough about that though. Here are some of the things I had planned...

The Origin of Sonic and Wild's Super Speed Explained
The Chaos Chronicles
The Rightful Heir (AU fanfic)
Rise of Nagus and the Fall of Snivley
SatAM Shadow

And i'm sure there's more, but these are just off the top of my head. The Chaos Chronicles arc alone is seven stories plotted out in my head, and utilizes one or two of the ideas laid out by the late, great, Ben Hurst. Sort of my own 3rd season (but I love what you guys're doing with Sea3son, so don't get it twisted) with my sort of spin. If people would be interested, i'd love to hear it. If people are interested in my rewriting old work to put a 26 year old prespective on it, let me know that too. Hell, just come in here to talk shit about how i'm such a half assed FUSer anymore if that's what makes you happy. Either way, some feedback on this would be great.

I'd be interested.
I'd be interested in seeing more fan fictions on the site. They pop up every now and then but there hasn't really been a big come back yet.

One of the huge reasons they haven't come back is because the gallery, which was how fan fictions were posted, no longer supports text documents. So there's currently no longer a way to post fan fictions other than through threads. I really should see about finding a replacement for that...I'll add it to my to-do list.

Interesting, does that mean I can't access what I already posted? That would be a severe bummer, since I now have no other way of getting those fics readily available. A friend of mine printed them ages ago but i'd hate to transcribe them just to re-write them over. I suppose it couldn't hurt to attempt to download them at least.
