So here I am sitting watching tv and enjoying my Sunday night. I randomly stroll through the forums and I noticed that the sonic section seems dead.

Which brings this thought to my mind. There are plenty of conversations about sonic movies or tv shows. Most of them either involve a new twist on Satam, or a Archie cross universe... I want to switch things up a bit. Make it more interesting.

If you could make a tv show or movie out of a Sonic game (only 1 game, no crosses between 2 games or the comic etc.) what game would you use? Which game is most comparable with a tv show or movie?

Well, one thought I've always considered was the potential to make a 'Chase' cartoon (Wile E. Coyote, Tom and Jerry type stuff) based off Sonic 1; you basically have a series of shorts that take place in various zones using the various badniks and machines out of the game (and others), focusing alternatively on Eggman trying to do Sonic in, or Sonic going out of his way to screw up Robotnik's operations across the zones, and as per a lot of 'chase' toons, limited to no dialogue, leaving it to mostly pantomine to convey stuff.

Form me, the most potential games are:

Sonic Adventure 1
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Battle
Sonic 3 & Knuckles

But 4kids already ruin it except sonic 3

But I definitely chose Sonic adventure 1

I really would like watch a most serius and darkness film of Sonic adventure 1. In my opinion could be awesome...All the storylines except Big are awesome. but In my opinion 4kids make it too much for kids. For example the Perfect Chaos of Sonic Generations is more than awesome talking about graphic...I'm sure I enjoy every second of that movie if exists. I remember playing the game figthing against Perfect Chaos hearing "Open your heart"...I really enter in to the game completely, like if I were Super Sonic. Sonic adventure 1 for me have the most potential storyline of all the Sonic games...

Sonic against Eggman
Tails helping Sonic
Knuckles protecting Angel Island and getting fooled by Eggman
Eggman try conquer the world
Chaos, a mysterious powerful weapon that show how is created through flashbacks
Tikal and the echidnas
Amy showing love and friendship to robots
Gamma discovering his true brothers (I'm particulary fan of this story, because for me is very beautifull)
Big saying froggy froggy looking for froggy

Have all the old roles, with some adds like Chaos, Tikal, and Gamma, that I realy like all. Thats why I think is the most powerful storyline they can use

Sonic Adventure 2. You could flesh the whole thing out as a TV series or a Movie (probably a long one).

I'd also do it more like the game then Sonic X did.

By the way, this may be off topic but what do you think of Sonic X. Not counting the dub. Just the show itself.

...This idea will probably be hated, but I honestly would like to see a show/movie based on Sonic 06. Honestly, I haven't played the game, but I've seen enough to know it is HATED (And the cutscenes DO blow...saw them on youtube). But I also think the story had a lot of potential...if redone right. Take out the more romantic parts (Seriously...that kiss was scary), redo the voices, and stretch out the story..without making it to long. Think of it like a 13 or so episode series, just enough to tell the story. I think it could work...plus, hearing His World on the T.V. every week would be sweet...

Also, a T.V. series covering Sonic's 1 through Knuckles would be really awesome...

And mostly, I want to see a series based on Sonic Generations! Oh yeah, that would be the coolest! Each week Classic and Modern Sonic visit an old Zone or game, and meet up with old friends. If I had a choice it would be THIS!

I don't really know how to explain ...I don't say I don't like Sonic X... here is my opinion and just close this topic about I like or not Sonic X xDDD

Sonic X: For me Sonic X is just crap, I dont remember good, but if was 64 chapter, for me only 15 or 20 are ok. The story of SA 1, SA2 and the end, because the end with cosmo and tails is just for me awesome, but all the crap about metarex and bla bla...

Here you can read that the story of SA 1 and SA2 and the end i found it "Ok". "Ok" means I don't like so much, but i never said I dislike it...just are ok. SA 1 story is Sonic X is good, for me SA 1 story on generations graphic is awesome...and no only ok.

I read now another comments like Sonic 06 and Generations. Sound very good. I'm playing now Sonic 06 and i found very interesting the story...and about generations yes...I found interesting too see more deeply what hapens when 2 Sonics and 2 Tails meets together....I can add would be fun see more characters classic and modern

I think this goes a bit off topic (I should stick to ONE game and such) but I really think that Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Adventure, if treated seriously and given an epic and mature tone, would really make a good show.

It's not like "we gotta save the world from this guy who wants to take over it" as in AoStH, nor "we gotta free the world from this dictator who has taken over it" as in SatAM. I see it more like "we gotta stop this guy who is IN PROCESS of taking over the world right now".

Think of it as a developing story which goes from the first meeting Sonic and Robotnik have, to the discovery of the origin of the Chaos Emeralds and Chaos's defeat.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles (technically one game!)

The story in itself would make a fun adventure story exploring Angel Island, encountering Knuckles, and stopping Robotnik from launching the Death Egg.

Maybe add more life to the island, add more plot points, if handled correctly it could turn into something pretty good.

Hmm...make 1 sonic game a show...how about Flicky? Or Ristar?!
Just kidding.
I would go with one of the core games, like the original 3 sonic games or SA2B. None of the spinoff games, those random ideas like Sonic Spinball or even Sonic Labrynth.
And don't even think about Blue Sphere: the Movie. Nobody would buy it.

NO! Sonic '06 is like the last game i want to see as a Sonic show. If they do the main story just right it would be good but they better change the Final story. I can see SA1 & 2 as one or Unleashed

About the topic, Still thinking the same...The best game can explain the old roles of all the characters is Sonic adventure 1. Have a lot of characters, can be explained all and is a way cool story.
