@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Color me stoked, now I really wanna see where this all goes. Ironic that in another thread I mentioned, relatively recently, the classical Metal Sonic, and lo and behold we have an apparrantly sentient Metal Sonic up there with a design very much like Metal Prime's own before his Heroic Sacrifice... tis rather eerie, but still, I wanna see both of these and rather badly.

Oh yes... Sonic REALLY looks torn up inside about having fight his roboticized/weaponized girlfriend. Posted Image

Maybe by this point he's moved on and doesn't care anymore about that.

Secret Freedom Fighters? If this turns out to be a cheap gimmick to introduce characters for a side story and then kill them off, I'll be very annoyed.

Secret freedom fighters...sounds pretty cool! I never really read the comics much myself, but my little brother has become obsessed with them. So much so I bought him a subscription just so he would stop bugging me every time we go to a store...he'll love these!

Psst. Look closely at the cover. He's actually crying. SONIC is crying. That's HUGE. It's easy to miss, yes, but we all know this comic keeps ALL writers' attempts to get Sonic emotional on an exceptionally strict leash, so the fact that it's there at ALL is impressive, IMO. And we already know Sonic isn't looking forward to having to fight Sal ("Please...don't make me fight you..." from #231), but given that this is apparently a "Rescue Mission", it may well be for HER sake that he's fighting her at all.

I'm with Zelchias: I've had my problems with this Arc so far, but both of these covers have me VERY excited. The "Secret Freedom Fighters" seem an intriguing culmination to Silver's journeys, and despite LaserX5's feelings to the contrary, it actually DOES look like the clash between Sonic and Metal Sally promises to be an emotionally-charged one.
"These hands of ours are BURNING RED! Their loud cry tells us..."

"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."
"HA!"

I'm actually liking where the stories are going thus far. The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat, just waiting next month to see what happens next

Ok, after taking another look at it, I do see something that may resemble a tear in the far right corner of his eye.

Although, the resolution of the cover pic isn't big enough to 100% confirm that, not yet anyway.

But yea, I do get the fact Sonic isn't allowed to be that emotional. His anger look though left me with arched eyebrows, just like it did in the 235 cover, although that was just a painting I bet.

Yea, saying it'll be emotionally charged story is probably a bit of an understatement there.

Still, the idea of Sonic having to fight her is just so painful to see.

We'll never see a story arc of Antoine having to fight Bunnie or even Knuckles fighting Julie-Su. I doubt we'll even get Geoffrey vs Hershey.

Nope, it'll ALWAYS be Sally when it comes to moments like these. Archie Sonic's favorite target for emotional cannon fodder. :tsktsk:

Actually, most of them, besides Elias and Silver are old supporting characters(Leeta,Leena, and a rouge Metal Sonic. The only one that is not familiar is a Tails Lightning Lynx look-a-like. I'll admit, I thought the premise was silly, but who knows it could be interesting though I'm still waiting a Mighty and Ray SU arc.

Wow, you're really that bitter aren't ya. Also, I know you need characters need to bring up some past events to make it more realistic and believable, but if a character brought up the same plot point over and over again then could get irritating to older readers.

I can see the tear with or without resolution.
Well he is the main and title character of this comic because he's suppose to be the focus though not always, and I'm not going to repeat.

Why does Silver keep meddling with the past anyway...

Because A. He stopping some kind of disaster or B. THE PLOT AND WRITER SAID SO LIVE WITH IT.

Actually, I was being very sarcastic there mostly in that post. But yea, there's bitterness in it too. Posted Image

I'm just so sick of any big bombshell story like this from Archie Sonic, Sally is 9 out of 10 times the fall guy.

Why can't they have someone else take that role for a change?

Is that all she's really good for? Just for Sonic, the Freedom Fighters and the readers to feel sorrow and loss for when bad things happen to her?

I can see the tear with or without resolution.

More than likely you're right about it, but I want to be 100% sure before admitting the cover has Sonic doing that.

You gotta remember he's a mascot of a company who doesn't let him show much emotion at times.

Well he is the main and title character of this comic because he's suppose to be the focus though not always, and I'm not going to repeat.

Yes, Sonic is the main character.

But still, would it kill Archie Sonic to use another Freedom Fighter for the big tragic moment of their stories?

And no, Antoine's technically doesn't count to me because it's not like he ever had to deal with something for so many issues like Sally has time and time again.

Plus, we don't even know the extent of his injuries anyway...

I don't mean to say it doesn't sound interesting. In fact it sounds great, but I've seen too many comics (not necessarily Sonic) and shows where a character is introduced just to be killed off a few issues/episodes later.

Worse is when the reintroduce a long forgotten character just to kill them off for closure.

You can't blame Laser for how they feel. I mean being a long time fan myself, I don't like seeing her that way either. But as much I as I hate to say it, this is not the first time the hero of the comic has to fight their beloved. I mean do you really want a list of similar situations.

As far as the new SU Arc goes, it along with the SU that follows after seems to be climaxing with the Same big even that will occur in the main comic. Meaning between SU issues 49-50 & STH Issues 246-247, we will probably get some kid resolution to this whole arc for the time.

Hopefully the resloution will be one with Sally restored in some way.

Oi don't get me started.

Unfortunately the original Freedom Fighters just aren't as popular anymore to get all that much panel time. Sally gets a lot of the bad luck that should spread throughout the group.

Indeed.

They would be reduced to nothing more than "Cannon Fodder." if that is where Ian plans to go with this.
