As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.
Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.
No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!
He does have one point. The comics arent gonna be used for source material
I wouldn't say that. It's possible that they may take some influence from both the comics and the television series, but I doubt they'll adapt anything directly from it.
And if they do take some influence from the series, let's hope Penders doesn't sue them as well. I mean, he's such a hypocrite; suing people for homaging his material when he himself clearly took material from other series. Soon, he'll be suing fans who don't give him "proper" credit.

Did i ever mention that Penders wants people to have a signed, written consent form allowing people to use his characters.
Suing fans aint that far off Logi
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

In that case, I'm glad I dropped his characters from my series.

I thought about doing it just to spite him...
but if he's gonna sue fans i'm not risking it, plus i got nothing of value.
Wiat arent fan fics protected because under certain laws?

Fan-freaking-tastic........now he's directly killing his fan base.

I highly doubt he's going to start suing fans at this point, if at all. The hell do we and others have to gain by using his characters, people who make **** up for fan fiction aren't making jack out of it at all. It's all free for everyone to view and entertain both good and bad fan fiction, web comics, whatever.
If I write a story I'll use whoever I damn well want and please, I'll let the bodies hit the floor and kill them off without his approval, I'm not Archie or Sega. We're all under fair use right, so screw it. If he wants my signature, he it is.
Seriously, HOW THE HELL did nobody know that Robotnik was evil!? I mean just look at those red, glowing, hellish eyes, oh yeah I can completely trust that guy with my life! *sarcasm*

What fanbase?
Those weirdos who support him. I'm surprised they exist but they do.
Wiat arent fan fics protected because under certain laws?
Actually, fanfics are illegal. From a legal standpoint, they're straight up copyright infringement. Authors and companies usually just don't do anything about it because they realize that fics aren't hurting anything (except possibly when adult material is involved) and because going after fans is bad PR. Every now and then, though, there comes along some snotty author who thinks their work should be theirs alone and nobody else can play in their playground...

When will this fail gloriously for all of us to watch?
I just go to Penders page and basically do this:

It's really interesting how not only his art, but his writing has really gone downhill sharply. For a man who is so passionate to make these ideas work you think he'd work harder at it. When I look at things, and his mongloid face I have to wonder if he suffered some kind of stroke and has brain damage.
The manchild behavior, the down syndrome looks, denial and oblivious to reality around him.

Having just reread the Mobius 25 Years Later stories that Penders wrote I can safely say that Penders writing actually hasn't gone downhill. It's at the same level that it was during his last year working on the comic. In the course of one decade he hasn't improved at all. Look at Ian's early work on the Sonic comic, and compair it to his work on the comic nowadays. It's like night and day. But Penders work has never gotting better.
