Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

We've already talked about the games we're playing now and the ones we enjoy...but what about the ones we've sinked hours into and ended in disappointment? What are the games you've paid for and wish you never did? Any genre, any system, any year, just share your opinions of the worst games you've ever played.

Me? Probably Bomberman: Act Zero. Its got the graphics and scale of a downloadable game but comes off as a full-priced glitchy mess. Avoid it at all costs.

The first Spyro the Dragon game put on PS2. X( It was JUST after Insomniac sold the rights. SUPER glitchy, one minute the floor would be there- the next it had vanished and you were standing on the sky. And only ONE boss in the entire game, which they didn't bother giving you any tips whatsoever on how to damage him. :\ Crappy game was crappy indeed.

And another game, which I actually really liked, but wasn't translated or dubbed well at all was Legend of Dragoon for the PS1. Really fun RPG, with an interesting battle system. But the dialogue was horrible, and any voice-over work was really lackluster. :\ Which is unfortunate, because other than that it was a really great game.

Haha, I remember Enter the Dragonfly. Surprisingly, I remember having a lot of fun with that game. I was young when I first got it and was a serious Spyro fan, I just looked past the glitches and enjoyed everything good about it. I thought the music was pretty neat, and even though the game had some slowdowns on the PS2 the stages were creative imo, and the graphics were really neat. Of course, it was still pretty short, and with all of the frustrating glitches and bugs it was hard to go back to it and actually have fun. Two times the game froze on me and I didn't have the chance to save...I remember getting soooo pissed. xD

xD I was just so used to the level of quality from the first three games and came to expect that. I played almost all the way through it, but I haven't touched any new Spyro game since.

Still go back and play the first three for fun every once in a while tho. X3 Ahhh.... the classics.

The absolute worst game I've ever played is WET: The Sexy Empire (a.k.a. Lula: The Sexy Empire). It tries to be funny, sexy, and a sim game. It fails spectacularly at all three. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, except for occasional moments of "so bad it's good" (but it's mostly so bad it's bad). The funniest moments are whenever somebody's lips are moving, because they don't even bother with even an approximation of proper lip synching -- even for live action clips. Then there's the news reporter who shows up from time to time, and her delivery is so deadpan, and you'd think deadpan reporting of humorous events would be funny, but no, it's the wrong kind of deadpan. It's the "I'm reading this off the script" kind of deadpan. It just makes you think, "Is this supposed to be funny? Am I supposed to be laughing?"

Truly the "Manos: The Hands of Fate" of gaming.

The only two new Spyro games that I really enjoyed were A Hero's Tail and LOS: Dawn of the Dragon. A Hero's Tail is way better than ETD, but obviously isn't quite as great as the Insomniac titles. Its still one of my favorites though, I really enjoyed it. Dawn of the Dragon is more darker, and has a God of War-ish combat system, but its still really fun, especially with a friend in co-op mode. Those are the only ones I suggest playing besides the first 3 Spyro games though, lol.

The worst I played was Mary Kate and Ashely's sweet 16 for the GBA. Me and my sister never got past through the first level though to be fair we were young at the time and we just got our GBA months ago.
I have that game because it is my second Spyro game(the first was Spyro Season of the Flames) and I looked pasted the problems it had. While I beat the game, I haven't completed the game.

Goldeneye Wii. This game sucks on so many levels that the people who made it should be drug out into the street and shot in the legs, then run over with a steam roller. You can only pick up 2 weapons. You have some useless gadgets that you'll only ever need once. You get no health bar (you have to guess when the screen is too red). Your enemies get to throw grenades but you don't. In some areas, you will face unlimited enemies who can pin you down and kill you while you're waiting for something like a door to open, because you can't throw grenades or move out of the way of the grenades because they can all shoot you to death... The tank level requires you to follow a specific path within a certain amount of time, which is way too short. You have to stop in order to regain health, and with the time limits, you can't stop to let the tank heal. There's no fun in driving the tank, because there's no freedom in it. And forget all of the nicer multiplayer stuff if you don't have an internet capable Wii. And there are no real cheats. Just a couple of unlockables for multiplayer mode. This game is so awful that I traded my copy back in to Amazon.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...

I wanna be the guy. Aaaaaargh! I HATE IT !!!
Sonic free riders. It was good until this point.
Anything kinect related.
Frogger. Nuff said.
Superman 64. Its fulla ASS!
Castlevania 2.....simon, you have lost the game.

Punch whoever told you that it was good the mouth, and suspect whatever they say in the future... People with the ability to play the game in online multiplayer get a ton of extra content that can't be unlocked in single player or offline multiplayer mode.

Sonic 06. I know it's like beating a dead horse... but holy hell, that had to be one of the worst titles I ever had the chance to play. Levels without straightforward paths, glitches up the wazoo, horrible controls, cheap deaths, boring level designs, a garbage storyline, horrible voice-overs, and all for Sonic's 15'th birthday.

I got about halfway through the game, up until the end of Shadow's story, and I still had Silver to beat. It was a lousy experience. I lost my data, and when I even considered starting over, I said "Hell. No." and got rid of the piece of trash. I've played some bad games before, but this is one that left an impression on me. I'm still amazed how they could screw this game up so bad.

The HD version of Goldeneye 007 on the 360 and PS3 is pretty much the same, but with 16 player online and nicer graphics... thats about it.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow... If there is gonna be a new Castlevania, just make it a good old fashioned 2d game, eh?
Crackdown 2... Was not as fun as the original
Any home port of Pit Fighter from the 16 bit era.
SNES versions of Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Batman Forever. The latter... Hold on... because... Hold on... of those damn... Hold on... Hold on loading... Hold on... screens.

When I was about 6, I had the great displeasure of playing Hotel Mario in a playroom at McDonalds. I think it goes without saying just how dreadful that game is. (But at least it taught me "All TOAStuhs toast TOAST!") It was only years later that I saw online and the horrid memories came rushing back.

Dragon's Lair (NES)
A loooooong time after seeing the AVGN review (which was the first AVGN episode I ever saw) I could play the game for a bit.
It was even worse than it looked in the review. Nuff said.

Jak 3:
1. A plot twist that utterly destroys the entire mythos from the entire trilogy and creates a billions plotholes in the process
2. All platforming pretty much replaced with boring and hard to control vehicles.
3. Having the main cast of the series making little to no appearances.
4. A romance that come out of nowwhere that completely negates the officials couple's sexual tension from the last two games.
5. A main villain with no reason for being either alive or the main villain.
6. A militaristic tone that gets rid of mysticism of the series.
7. Hyping it up as a game that will answer all the questions of the trilogy and leave it with a satisfying closure, when it does no such thing.
8. And me believing said hype and getting scarred for life because of it!

A while ago I downloaded a bunch of games James reviewed onto a flashcart and in the process I gained new appreciation for him.
The amount of patience just to get through one of the levels of one of those games is a herculean task by
itself, never mind getting as far as James does in his reviews!
Edit: sorry for the double post, my IPad is fucking shity about handling posts.
