When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Hello, with three weeks left in 2011 I thought I would look back at the year that was in the Archie comics Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic Universe comics. To say that it's been an interesting year would be putting it mildly. For much has happened in both comics that has caused some controversy not just in the comics but around a certain head writer by the name of Ian Flynn. So now I look back in text at what was the 2011 year in the comic books.

When we ended 2010 a lot was going on, first in September of 2010 as well as October we had the introduction of Bunnie's uncle who we found out was working for Dr. Eggman's Dark Egg Legion, which temporarily caused dissension between Sonic and Bunnie before they figured out how to complete their mission as well as sabotage both sides attempt at an oil refinery. This of course left the door open for Bunnie's uncle to return as well as a possible standoff and fight between her and him, a fight which will become a personal one for Bunnie.

But then we top that off in the following two issues with the betrayal of the St. John character. Who we find out later on is a Ixis Wizard apprentice in training. We also find out that a very popular character who was/is St. John's wife could possibly be dead and what's the character's name you may ask, why none other than Hershey The Cat. And upon hearing this there were/are fans that liked Hershey and where not too happy with hearing what could have happened to her. Many/some still feel and believe she is still alive, either as a robotized slave or as a DEL GrandMaster. There are fans that hope for the latter.

Now in between those issues we come to February 2011 and finally in the eyes of many long-time fans and yes even some newer fans we had an issue which was, I guess you could say was the calm before the storm. For you see ever since the final two pages of the main story in issue 212, this was a moment and an issue that many long-time fans and again some newer fans have been waiting for and that was the official reuniting and committing of Sonic and Sally as a couple a.k.a. boyfriend/girlfriend. Now many if not some complemented this issue as being a break from the norm. However in the eyes of some issue 222 in which this takes place, some fans do have some criticism about it, mostly about the Amy Rose character and how she was portrayed in her part in this issue. For many/some they did not like in their eyes how Ian made Amy take a backseat to Sally. But on the other side of the coin there are those like myself that like what they saw and no it's not because we support the Sonic and Sally pairing, no it's because we like the fact that Ian made Amy act more mature and grown up to the point that she herself points out in this issue that if being with Sally makes Sonic happy then that makes her happy as well and for him, and to many/some fans like myself that shows us in the comic how grown-up and mature Amy has become, now on a side note she does say before she says what I mentioned before that indeed she believes in her heart that Sonic will be her's one day but again that if being with Sally makes him happy then she's cool with that.

Now on to the character of Nicole, for you see she plays a bigger role than we think. The role she plays starts out with another character by the name of Mina Mongoose. You see Mina like some of the other citizens of the city was/were/is having traumatic nightmares about their time under The Iron Dominion, more so under the control of Nicole when she was portrayed as Iron Nicole. Now because of this Mina decided along and thanks to her boyfriend to have a change in the style of her music, a change that she felt would be for the better and get a message across to the Royal Council that she and the other citizens do not want an AI watching over them and controlling the city. Nicole of course seeing/hearing this throughout the city was very concerned for she knew it would take a lot of time if not a long time for the citizens of the city to trust her again. Now when the concert took place in which debuted Mina's new music style, Nicole snuck around in a new look that she designed for herself, a more casual hip look. However even after finding Sally and Sonic and along with them was enjoying and dancing to the music, it wasn't until a certain amount of lyrics started to be sung by Mina that not only did Sally and Sonic here what the song was really about but most importantly Nicole was the first to hear what it was all about. Now after the concert ended which Nicole ran from in tears before it ended, Sally along with Sonic went to Mina's trailer and confronted her and her boyfriend by explaining to them why Nicole had to do what she did when the ID was in control of the city and only then do you see a bit of reality hit Mina straight in the face. Now on a side note the overreaction of the emotion during the concert was actually amplified by the wizard Nagus.

This of course led us not only into a confrontation with St. John and the Freedom Fighters as well as Nagus and the Royal Council but this led us straight into 225 which was a prelude or prologue to the Genesis story arc which dominated this past summer.

Genesis is viewed by many as being Ian's answer to ENDGAME. However many others look at it as just a trip down nostalgia lane as well as a way to show what it would be like if Sonic had met his friends by rescuing them for a capsule as in the original games. Now there are those that did enjoy Genesis and those that didn't, as a matter of fact some feel that it should have been its own separate four-part comic and I have to agree with them. But that's not the case, for you see Genesis I guess you could say had a integral part to play in the main comic's continuity. Basically the main plot line in this was the fact that Eggman wanted to rewrite history by wiping out the current timeline and by doing so create a new timeline/history with him ruling over all in what was going to be a robotized planet, however this was not to be.

Which of course now leads us into issue 231 and before it 230. Now with 230 we do indeed see the timeline restored and we do see Eggman defeated but this time however not without a major price. And that major price ended up being Sally sacrificing herself to prevent the planet from being robotized thus she is the one that gets robotized instead. Now how this will play out in 2012 well that I'm going to look into at the end of this.

Now as far as Sonic Universe goes, it has seen its share of some very intriguing and interesting stories. We started out 2011 with the conclusion of the Silver story arc which when many look at it was an adaption or loose adaption of Ian's Other – M webcomic, that had some differences from the original. But despite that some fans actually enjoyed it.
We follow that up with a four-month story arc centered around Scourge and the Suppression Squad and them trying to break out of the no zone's prison which they end up doing at the end of the story arc. One thing fans did like about this was it was a change from the norm and it gave some interesting back stories on some of the members of the squad.
The current story arc deals with the Babylon Rogues and the Battle Bird Amada and their search for the Babylon Gardens, currently right now the third part of the story arc has been released, the next one will be released in January 2012.

Now the main question is, "Where do we go from here?" Well Flynn said this would be a story arc that would be double the size of the ID story arc and when you look at when it supposedly began, which was back in May of this year, when you add up the months to come, June 2013 sounds like a huge conclusion to this story arc. But before we get to there, the question is "Where will we be a year from now with issue 244?"
Where will we be? Will we see Sally restored mentally or altogether by this time next year? Will we get some hints or clues as to where Flynn is taking this whole story arc? Heck, will Flynn even be here as the head writer of the comic a year from now? Or will Tracy Yardley be the new head writer or will it be somebody completely new altogether? Will the Freedom Fighters be more matured and wised a year from now? With either Sally on their side or not when they come to realize and if she's back with them, will she be more matured and wise and thus realize that they cannot show Eggman anymore mercy and that they must take him out once and for all. What role will Snively play in all this? Will he finally free the Iron Queen or will he help Sonic restore Sally? What role will Nicole play? Will she be the major reason Sally is restored mentally if not physically? And if so will she end up having to and as crazy as this sounds merge with Sally in some way? What role will Silver play in all this? Will he help Sonic go back in time and save Sally before the robotization beam hits her? Will he help Sonic go back in time and cause all the refineries to be shut down so that the Death Egg Mark II doesn't launch? What role will Bunnie play? Will she have to fight her best friend who is now robot or will she be one of the reasons Sally regains her free will? What about the Royal family? What role will they play? And what about Knuckles and the Chaotix? What role will they all play in all this? Will we see the return of Hershey? What about Shadow? Will he play an important role? The same question is Rouge. What role will she play? And what about Monkey Khan? What role will he play? And lastly, Will the negative for the characters in the comic turn into a positive by this time next year? These are all questions we hope to have answered by next year by the time we have 244 in our hands.

And that my friends was my End of the year thoughts (the text version) on the Sonic The Hedgehog comic book for 2011.

Your comments are welcomed here.

God bless

Personally, I don't have a vendetta with Ian Flynn because SatAm and the comics wasn't part of my childhood, but I get why people hate him for many reasons. Also, I don't think you have a vendetta with Ian.

As an individual, I don't have all ill feelings for Ian either.

I just cannot stand his writing, especially after Sally was shot and roboticized.

I think we're better served with Ian than Kenders or Bollers. They all have ups and downs, but Penders downs outweighted his ups. (I do give him credit for inventing Kunckles entire fascinating history. of the echidnas)

That's largely why I always preferred the earlier run; Penders, for all his faults, was more ambitious and willing to take risks in his story telling, and to this day the Knuckles series and the Tales of the Great War remains the comic's crowning moments, for my money.

I do wonder if Ian's getting a bit better lately, at least going by what I've seen, but I still question his ability to tell a truly compelling story over the long haul.

I believe you, Brain. If you did, I think you would be more forceful. I have problems with just about all the writers Archie has had. We do need to keep up the pressure, I think, if Sally is to get back to normal someday; just to be safe. With Archie, we can't take chances.

I think Sally will eventually get turned to normal, but not until this roboticization/downhill story of Archie Sonic is exploited to the fullest.

You know, after reading some of these posts here, I would like to give my opinions on what I see going on so far, when it comes to the comic book of Sonic the Hedgehog.

First of all, let's start with the whole Ken Penders situation with Archie comics and him recently showcasing teaser pictures of characters that he introduced during his run as head writer on the Sonic comic book.

Now some feel that Ken Penders is driving himself into obsessive embarrassment. The reason many fans feel this way or say this about Ken is because he hasn't even won his court case against Archie comics, a case I mind you that many feel he will not win at all, but yet he's already displaying and showing what fans can look forward to in his so-called or upcoming "Guardians"story.

Now here's my opinion on why he's doing this. Ken Penders probably feels very confident that he's going to win this case, that he feels nothing can go wrong and that him showcasing these pictures will be just the beginning of something new that he believes long time Sonic and Knuckles fans will enjoy probably more than what their reading currently in the Sonic comic book.

This may be true, however I feel the same way as many fans do when we all say that Ken Penders shouldn't toot his horn before his big moment which may never come. The reason being is because Ken Penders is going up against possibly not just Archie comics but also in a way the Sega Corporation, for you see many have pointed out the fact that Ken Penders when he wrote for the comic initially that he signed over all rights and characters that even he created exclusively for the comic and its spinoffs. Now Ken Penders will deny the fact and has denied the fact that he signed anything that concerned his characters, this might be true, however those in charge at Archie comics have stated that he did sign over the rights to his characters to them and when many fans and even experts in business look at this case they all say and agree that not only did Ken Penders sign over the rights to his characters to Archie comics allowing them to use those characters however they see fit, but in the long run he signed over ownership of the characters to those that have that out right say on what can be used and done in the comics, concerning characters, elements from the games and overall stories that can be adapted, and those people are the Sega Corporation, thus meaning any characters that Ken Penders made during his run on the comic and its spinoffs now solely belong not just to Archie comics but more importantly to the Sega Corporation.

Now this is why many fans and many experts in business and court cases feel Ken Penders will lose this case to Archie comics. However things might go a different way and if they do many feel that this may change the comic as they know it and have known it forever, because if Ken wins somehow, then those characters he created during his run with the comic will be removed from the comic or will still be used in the comic only if Archie comics and possibly even Sega agree to pay the royalties that Ken Penders says they owe him and continued to do so every time they use one of his characters. However that's only if Ken Penders wins this case, but just like many fans and many experts in the law business, comic book business and overall media court cases, I feel with all due respect to Ken Penders and the great stories that he wrote for the Archie Sonic comic book I believe that this whole situation is a losing battle and I believe that for all the pictures and teasers that Ken Penders is showing us right now will all be for not, in other words we may see what he has planned but will never see it come to fution due to the fact that the case he's trying to win is a losing one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now as far as Ian Flynn goes, many fans long-time and short time fans have a difference of opinion on his writing. Now apparently at the FUS message board some members have argued over the fact that either what Ian has done recently in the comics is either a good thing or bad thing. Now some users or members have stated that both the SegaSonic and Sonic SatAM fans don't like the direction that the comic is going.

For example, one fan doesn't trust what Flynn is going to do next even though they don't know what he's got planned for the future of the comic, yet the distrust they have for Ian is due to him and the editor-in-chief of the comic saying that going towards the 250th anniversary issue that for the Freedom Fighters and their friends, that going towards that anniversary issue it will all be a downward spiral for the characters and for this particular fan and many others if not some others like him this causes concern for what Ian Flynn has in store for the characters.

As a matter of fact this distrust that this fan on the at FUS forms and even another fan at YouTube has for Ian Flynn I guess you could say went up a few notches when in the final panel of issue 232 which is the more recent issue, the main villain was last seen taking a blowtorch to the now mechanized Sally Acorn. Now by seeing this of course these two fans and others like them, that the distrust they already have towards Flynn would most definitely increase because they feel he's hurting the character even more or in some cases showing his true feelings and hatred towards the character. However some fans have try to, I guess you could say reason with these fans by saying things could be worse by using as examples fan fiction stories that have been downright unbearable and embarrassing even going as far as using one erotic fan fiction story (title and plot description included) that featured the character Mina Mongoose and her nightly getting it on encounters with several of the Sonic male characters. Now by using these fan fiction story titles as examples they are pretty much trying to tell these fans that they should be thankful they have an actual fan as the head writer and not somebody or someone's the write the garbage as they put it that they just saw and read.

Now I agree that this is a good point and as I have said before, I myself have no vendetta against Ian Flynn but I will admit I do not like what he did to Sally, however I am like those fans that are in the middle and are just waiting to see where he goes with the story from here.

What's funny about this though, is that several fans who go on Ian Flynn's message board have said and I don't know if this is true (however with new head writers they always want to try to outdo the previous writers) or not, but it seems that according to some, Ian Flynn wants to make a story arc that's bigger not just in issues length but bigger in story arc overall and something that the day that he does step down as the head writer will be remembered for many years to come, as a matter of fact according to some of these visitors to his message board this story arc that apparently will conclude in the 250th anniversary issue is supposed to be bigger and I guess he's hoping for it to be more memorable than the "Endgame" miniseries/story arc which concluded in the 50th anniversary issue.

Now I must admit that this is a very high goal to try to achieve even for Ian Flynn. But like many fans out there if not several fans whither they like the direction the comic's going in or not I have to agree that trying to outdo the classic miniseries/story arc that is "Endgame" might be and possibly is impossible to do.

However the unexpected and the impossible has been achieved before in the past when it comes to comic books and some of these epic story arcs that companies like Marvel and DC comics have done for several of their franchise characters, have either succeeded or bombed and failed. I mean sure there may have been a head writer on let's say X-Men that try to make a story arc, an epic story arc that they would hope outdue and be more remembered then the Phoenix Saga and perhaps in the end didn't achieve that goal because they realized nothing can touch the overall Phoenix saga. Which is why many/several fans like myself feel it may be impossible for Ian Flynn to achieve that goal. As a matter of fact several fans feel that Ian Flynn should not attempt to write epic story arcs and that just writing four-part story arcs like what he does sometimes for the Sonic Universe comic is a better direction for him to go in, as a matter of fact there is one fan at the Saturday Morning Sonic forms that feels this same way.

The one problem which has been constant with Ian Flynn in the eyes of many is that some of the things he does in the stories at times doesn't make any sense. For example in 230, in my eyes and in the eyes of several others he more or less made Sonic look like an idiot, the reason being is that at the end of 229 he restored the timeline to normal, thus saving Sally from being killed, only to turn around and have Sally get turned into a robot, thus making our main hero look like an idiot and a fool because apparently he restored the timeline to save Sally and in the end it was all not. Another example would be more recently in the 232 issue where for some odd reason he had Nagus use his magic to restore Bunnie to not a half robotic state but to full flesh and blood, now there are those that like what Ian Flynn did here just like they liked Sally's sacrifice in 230, however on the other side of the plane there are those that don't like it either way, for they feel that the way Bunnie was restored to flesh and blood was nothing more than a copout but then again there are those that see it otherwise and feel it is not a copout. Then of course there's the robotic Sally situation as I mentioned above there are those that don't like the fact that in the final panel of the most recent issue you have Eggman holding a blowtorch towards the face of the now robotic/mechanized Sally.

Now just like with the Bunnie being restored situation, there is a difference of opinion on that final panel in the main story of 232, for you see many feel the villain is making Sally into a battle droid with possibly no chance of her being restored to flesh and blood herself (add on the rumor that someone started, that Ian Flynn has stated that Sally will not be restored to flesh and blood), others however have try to reason with those that feel that way by saying that the villain is possibly implanting something into Sally that may come in handy in the future or in some cases create more dramatic effect, example being the villain putting a bomb inside Sally just like he did with the DEL, however that's just speculation. And one final example here of some of the things that Ian Flynn does in the comic that doesn't make sense is having St. John just grab the crown off Elias head and placing it on Nagus's head thus making him King. Now I will admit that that is just (and excuse my language I say this) fucked up, and the reason I say that is because if your going to become King you either have the crown passed down to you because you're the next in line or you fight for the crown that you feel is rightfully yours and to me and many others that makes more sense than just taking it off one's head and placing it on another's and I'm sure anybody reading this would agree.

To say that 2011 and 2012 have ended and begun with the same old crap from a previous head writer as well as to say that the current head writer in several eyes is way over his head with what he's doing currently doing may be saying a little too much and maybe saying a lot less. But now that were in 2012 we will just have to see how things pan out when it comes to the Ken Penders versus Archie comics court case and will just have to see how things pan out with Ian Flynn taking us on this spiral ride for the next 11 months which will end with 244 and thus lead us into the summer of 2013 with the 250th issue, that being however if Mr. Flynn with all due respect is still working as the head writer of the main Sonic comic book or if he's moved on to other things and handed over the reins of head writer to somebody else or two other people (the two new writers) and that's all I have to say about what's going on with several of the topics that I have read and just have to wait and see what happens next.

Take care and God bless

Question, how long will Sally's robotic situation and Nicole's sadness be till?

This is a question that Comicreviewer2 on YouTube recently asked in a video. It's a question that I replied to in my own YouTube video, however it is a question that I have yet to see asked here at these message boards. So let's try to answer this question as peacefully and as friendly as we can.

Now to answer the question, one has to look at the overall situation. Many/some fans feel and have given their opinion on the length of time that they feel and believe Sally will have as a robotic slave. Some have come out and said "give it 4 to 6 issues", while others have come out and said "give it to at least 7 to 8 issues", while another majority have said "9 to 11 issues", and then of course there are those that have said "give it 10 issues".

Those fans wither their a majority or small majority or even a medium-sized majority have given what many fellow fans would agree are very bold predictions as to when Sally's robotic slavery will end. However can the same be said for Nicole? Just my opinion but I believe so.

Now for those that are wondering why fans would ask this question, it's because many fans like myself don't like seeing our favorite characters that we grew up on become unwilling evil or saddened , that we watched on Saturday mornings as part of a very popular Saturday morning cartoon on ABC, it makes us cringe in a way because we're so used to seeing a character the way they are. And for us as fans to see Sally robotic is kind of hard (although all we have to do is look at regular/SatAM design and the Mecha design becomes forgettable). Now some of us will tolerate it and see where Ian Flynn goes with it and perhaps hope and pray for hints and clues to be dropped, but until that time we have to sit and wait.

Now there are those that will look at this question and think to themselves or say to themselves that the reason we asked this question is because we as long-time fans are just wondering when and where we will get our Sonic/Sally relationship and romance and as some of them put it spotlight stealing back. Again it is not because we want to see the character back just so they could steal the spotlight or just so the relationship with the main character can still the spotlight but is because we are fans of that character and we see potential in that character and enjoy that character as they are overall and like you/them we do want to see this character develop even more so but not as a robotic slave but as themself.

The aftermath of when this situation of Sally and Nicole's is another question that many wonder about. For some they may see Ian Flynn create more unnecessary drama, an example being Sally perhaps not trusting herself to go on missions or Sally going on missions but going back to Freedom HQ and allowing Sonic to confront whoever the villain may be. Others may see it a different way, others may look at it and say to themselves that finally Sally and her friends will rid the planet of their long-time nemesis.

For how Sally will be restored, some hints may have been dropped. One hint is with the new King in the comic, well another has been dropped in a more recent cover preview. How it will occur as I said in another post we will just have to wait and see.

But for those that feel that this overall Sally situation is putting more emphasis on not just her but on her relationship with Sonic, those people need to look up and Google names like Spiderman/Peter Parker and his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson, Scott Summers and Jean Grey, Rogue and Gambit, and most importantly Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The reason I mention these names from these very famous comics is because do you see or hear people/fans complaining about those relationships being shoved down the faces, stealing the spotlight from others, do you hear or see that? Because being a long-time reader of comics and collecting comics like X-Men, Spiderman, and even Superman I have yet to see that.

You sit there reading this and you may ask why I brought that up, because it's not just a question of how long Sally's situation will last, but to also show that those couples and characters have dealt with similar situations. An example being, in Ulitmate Spiderman they had Mary Jane for who knows how many issues turn into a demon goblin at random times or when she got angry, thus this allowed Spiderman/Peter Parker and others time during these issues to try to save and help her. Now did that get any backlash, from what I know and heard, I'd say none. And then of course you have issues featuring the other couples that I talked about that are adventurous and entertaining and fun to read and yes those issues do focus on those couples but you don't hear people complaining? I don't.

So for those sitting here reading this on this message board, they need to realize that you may have an opinion on who you feel a certain blue hedgehog should be with but when you read those examples hopefully you get a better understanding for why as those out there put it, you have Sally and Sonic's relationship shove it in our faces and down on throat's. Which it's not by the way, in my opinion.

You may be reading this and saying that that absolutely made no sense. True it may not made no sense, but I'm not taking any chances that this new topic on this message board gets turned into a flame war and a love and hate war for Sonic and Sally. This is just answering a question that a fan on YouTube asked and gave his own answer to this past week.

Hello everyone, okay I know that recently I posted a near one-hour four-part video talking about an e-mail that Ian Flynn has sent to a fan at the DA website, now I will not repeat this whole e-mail or e-mails again, however I will give my thoughts on what Ian talked about in these e-mails.

1. First of all in the first e-mail he mentions the fact that this fan is reading too much into the Other M connections. He goes on to say that his webcomic was way too dark and not very Sonic like and that even though the current storyarc may be bleak and dark at the moment in the comics, that essentially it's nowhere near the grimdark, terrorism, murderist and warfare blood like tone that his webcomic was at.
I look at this and I may agree with most of what he saying. Because even though things look bad they could be a heck of a lot worse. One thing though that I don't agree on is him saying that the Other M rebels appearances in the Silver storyarc of the SU comic were cameos, honestly I find that hard to believe, because if there were just cameos then why were they there for more than one issue.
In the second e-mail he addresses Other M again and agrees that the similarity was more than conscious choice. So in other words he agrees that are indeed some similarities to his web comic.

2. As far as Sally goes with her being turned into a robot, originally that was to occur in the 225th anniversary issue, but was held back when it was decided that they would do Genesis instead. He does say this cliffhanger with Sally being shot off panel that got everyone talking, he says that it wasn't just her being shot in the head but being shot in her everything, in other words being brutally blown away, I guess you could probably say that the way he's describing it is to look at some of the most horrific and bloodiest wartime or war related movie deaths in cinerma, that's how I think he's describing what happened to her off panel at the end of 225.
This I may have to agree with and I'm sure others would as well, however some fans like GameBoySage would probably disagree with this whole scenario despite when Sally being turned into a robot or die was to occur. For you see fans like GB feel that was the biggest mistake ever made in the comic and believe that there could have been other alternatives. For example one fan by the name of LaserX5 on their DA account typed up an alternative of the 225th anniversary issue and surprisingly fans at the DA site and even at some of these message boards like that version better than the original which in my opinion is saying a lot.

3. Ian says that he wants to break the mold of the Freedom Fighters always winning or eventually winning and that he wants to take away the wet blanket if you will and to and do some different and by meaning and saying he wants to remove the wet/security blanket of everyone will be okay in the end again goes back to him saying he was to break the mold that apparently we see in this comic on a monthly basis.
Now fans like myself, Laser and GB among many others have to disagree with that statement because it doesn't matter what comic you read whither it's X-Men, Spiderman, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Justice league, Superman, Batman Wonder Woman, Wildcats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Capt. America, and Green Lantern, just to name a few of the big ones in comics, for it at times may seem bleak and dark for the heroes and characters that star in those comics or featured in those comics in the end it always turns out right and good prevails over evil and sometimes when the final climax/battle takes place towards or in the anniversary issue, it makes even more special and just goes to prove the old saying that "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

4. The Bunnie situation was done as he puts it as a challenge for the character to see how she handles being depowered so abruptly and to further along speculation and concern he throws in a (ha ha) with the fact that Ixis isn't entirely sure how he did it.
Fans find this hard to believe and to accept, for some they feel time reversal would've made more logical sense.

Overall one thing that Ian says in this e-mail that does shine a light of hope on this for us as fans is that things wouldn't be so bleak and dark going into 250, the only question is how much darker will it get before the light occurs.

For you see, my friend at DA in one of their journals where they review the entire comic series, in their most recent and for now the final overview/review of the overall comic, my friend points out that instead of trying to make both sides happy, (that being both Sonic fanbases) that in turn his enraged both sides. Meaning that he enraged the Sally fans and supporters by turning her into a robot and the Anti-Sally fans because now a majority of the comic leading up to 250 will focus on her primarily and the Freedom Fighters attempt or Sonic's attempt to rescue her and restore her.

Now many fans like my friend at DA are giving next month's issue a judgment call, in other words if Ian does something drastic and unforgiving, then my friend and many others like them will hold off on the book and like me stay in the middle and just wait to see how it plays out.
Also Ian does come out and say, that he knows rubbeing a number (HUGE Number would be My guess) fans the wrong way with this story arc and later on he does admit that his is some fans least favorite person/writer right now and that he knows he's not going to please everyone (BOY! Is that every a fact)

Now for me honestly I believe Sally will be restored, and as crazy as this will sound perhaps one of the reasons for her being turned into a robot with perhaps after she's restored, the blue that she now sports due to the modifications that Eggman did to her that blue will become a new outfit for her, in other words fans that complain and say she's always naked with the exception of her vest and boots, I guess we'll finally get a fully clothed Princess Sally. And speaking of the modifications, as I said this in one of my videos on YouTube and all say it again who does not see the power ring that was installed in her backfiring on Eggman and giving back her free will, raise your hand if you agree.
And that's all I'm going to say and please refer to link below :
