"Everyone creates the thing that they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create... smaller people...? CHILDREN! (chuckles) Lost the word there..."

I heard moe anime is a lot more common nowadays than dark serious anime.I'm not that into current anime, I find most of them uninteresting. They tend to be way too over-dramatic and serious most of the time, and they all look and feel the same. They're nicely drawn, but there's no way to tell them apart nowadays.
Personally, I more into the light-hearted, fantasy/adventure-type anime geared towards children and family audiences. I'm a big fan of Osamu Tezuka's work (Astroboy, Kimba, Black Jack, Metropolis, ect.), I enjoy "Speed Racer" and the original "Dragonball" series (DBZ was okay, but it was way too drawn out), and I love Studio Ghibli's films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Porco Rosso, ect.).

Which kind is that exactly? I know there's more anime out there than dark-themed anime because "anime" itself covers nearly all of Japan's animation, which is a pretty broad topic.
As for dark/serious anime, I don't actually hate it. I just don't find it as interesting or appealing to my tastes. I do enjoy some of the darker shows, however. I like the campy mysteries of "Case Closed", the creepy atmosphere and tension of "Death Note", and the characters and premise of "Bleach" (despite its extremely long length and filler episodes).

How about Puella Magi Madoka Magicka? This anime takes a dark twist on magical girls. You know...I haven't watched any anime in a long time. I really should find a good series sometime.
I think moe anime in light hearted, harem, slice of life high school, non fantasy or/and Sci-Fi settings. This is based on other people's experience on current anime.I heard more anime is a lot more common nowadays than dark serious anime.

Yeah, I just realized my mistake the I added a t on moe. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Also, I heard that Bleach(manga) is ending in a bad way due to the author's unfulfilling hype, shuffles characters' panel time, frequent decapitation of limbs, too much characters, drags on since the Quake da Mundo Arc(Sorry I just relied on hearing the words), etc. If you want to know more about this? I recommend watching Y ruler of Time's review on Bleach either on Blip or That Guy With The Glasses.

I think the big one Ive picked up recently has to be Robotics;Notes. Its new, started in the fall season, 11 episodes in and I'm not too sure how long its going to be. I suspect a 24 episode thing but who knows.
I am glad I picked it up though..Or should say picked it up again. I did watch the first episode when it started but kinda forgot about it till the other day. If you have some time you should check it out.
Winter season is starting up now..And there are a few shows I'm looking foreword to. But I shall have to wait for them to come out to see if they are worth anything.
