OK, he gets a point for trying to get Sonic SatAM rebooted.Shouldn't he get some credit for trying to get Sonic Satam rebooted?
He loses a point for his ideas not being particularly good (though this is admittedly subjective).
He loses a point for causing FUS to be flooded with newbies who had no idea how to behave here. (Though RockyRaccoon shares some of this blame, since Rocky humored him so much.)
He loses a point for reveling in the cult of personality he temporarily managed to cultivate, like he was some kind of god for being some random low-level guy in the animation industry who's preparing a pitch.
He loses a point for being a crybaby when being called out on the above.
He loses a point for canceling his plans based on the reaction of some FUSers. He has no backbone. That's not going to make him popular either with us or with TV producers.
He loses a point for apparently lying about or exaggerating his credentials. I don't recall the details, but Valerie probably does.
Hmm... this doesn't add up to a positive integer.

At the time I didn't pay much attention to the reboot topics. It was cool but however a reboot turned out I had no opinion. However what I did care about was his attitude or how he would flip out if I moved one of his topics to the proper forum and so on. Thought he had a godly power here.
I'm not against people who have different opinions then the rest. Part of his issue was brining his ideas to a fan base and not a producer. However I had no issues with that. It was just his over all attitude towards a lot of people.
All that was just enough to tick plenty of people off here. Lots left too because of the god like attitude he showed to others. Granted with all the newbies messaging him daily it would get a bit bothersome. Although that's were profecianality is suppose to come into play. Not elitism.

I'd say no... The whole "reboot" trend is disturbing and usually ends up with a serious case of "They change it, now it sucks!"Just to warn you, nobody here likes Matt Sullivan.
Why not?
Shouldn't he get some credit for trying to get Sonic Satam rebooted?

ACStrife would have more details as well. He did a lot of digging into it.

Huh this subject again, well I guess its been long enough. Yes MAX or Matt Sullivan (if that's truly his real name) had this grand idea which resulted in a 7-9 month long area where people paid him homage for doing a pitch that might result in a actual revival. In the end much to the former owners dismay (Rocky), it all blew up in Rocky's face when a random sonic forum goer exposed MAX for his past actions promising to do pitches of others shows and then never being heard from again. There was a good reason why Rocky wanted no one to know MAX quit his -project-, so that no one would know Rocky never checked up on MAX's credentials as a animator or writer. That's what really happened, Rocky just wanted more traffic for his site, and in return MAX would get instant attention for his idea which so far to this date, hasn't shown any evidence that his pitch was worked on or even if it exists on paper for that matter.
Later when MAX returned to this forum and we thought he was banned, but he was able to post here for some reason. Again, this guy started to rekindle his pitch idea in this forum. Off and on on SMS forum he would say in his massive thread in SMS where its named -Established Animator- he kept saying oh I quit my pitch, no wait...because someone called me a fake I'm doing it again. And for a few months he would go back and forth on whether to work on his SATAM pitch or not. Hardly professional for someone to behave this way if a established writer or animator storyboard artist. To me his actions betrayed his words. In the end I told MAX since he had no evidence this pitch was ever created or done he was to halt talking about this pitch on the basis that its a project that doesn't exist and can only lead to unnecessary bashing and bad forum behavior. Unfortunately MAX decided to take the low road and disobeyed me blatantly and as a result after he came into the satam chatroom and displayed his less that stellar behavior there in front of Chief and Morgan he was banned as a result.
That's pretty much what happened in a nutshell over that whole period. My opinion of the fella is and still is the guy to me is a fake. He has yet to prove his identity or his work that he clams to do, most established people who have online work has it public so folks can see it. Funny after this whole thing happened he changed his online handles and then deletes all his stuff under MAX. Interesting behavior no?
Anyways, id like to say Chief and John put their personal money to host this site, pay for the software, pay artists to draw up what I think is a great revival idea of doing a Season 3 comic. They demonstrate a correct way of making a website popular and successful with a good reputation of getting stuff done they promise. The last thing Chief and John would need is a fella like MAX who wants to promote his own ideas which hes done no work on and causes trouble in which can reflect badly on Chief and Johns website. Cause the manner of how we all as users act reflects upon John and Chief. My drive to get MAX out of here is a defense of something good that I personally would rather see this forum and website continue to flourish for years to come.

In a Thread on SMS I was saying something like "cruel Matt Sullivan Hoax" & suddenly He appeared again & was really upset about it. I even apologised to him (maybe it was a mistake). Then I asked him if He could write something on My "Sonic SatAM The Movie" Thread on SMS & His PM Answer was really strange... He said something like "I might prepare something"...

MAX is a mysterie to me... is he fake or not?

Dalek MAX is no mystery at all. Hes a individual who wanted some attention, plain and simple.
Is MAX a hoax? In my humble opinion I say he is, by his actions and reactions to when people called him up on his questionable credentials. Below are a few pieces that happened that led me to my opinion:
- When I told MAX he could never mention his pitch again after he said himself it was over he pitched a fit.
- When people ask him questions on his credentials he gets very rude and uses foul language.
- MAX also only seems to contribute to a conversation 85% of the time when talking about him or his pitch.
It does not surprise me Dalek that when you pm'ed MAX about his pitch that he immediately answered you. How can he resist? Max has always quit his pitch then said oh you know ill start it up again. The guy wants attention, he wants us like in the past when he had his massive forum hug box that rocky let him have to revere him again for stuff hes never planning to do.
You really don't have to be sorry Dalek Max is a fella who more than likely has a droll and boring life and needed an outlet, and this is how he gets his kicks. Pretending to be someone he isn't.
Hope it helps ya out man.

For example, I did talk with one of the music artists involved with Neon Genesis Evangelion, and we did talk about doing a music video together. But she decided to get a crew in London to do one for her instead because that's where she lived. (I live in North Carolina.) We still talk from time to time, but I don't go around anymore telling people "Yeah, I'm totally still doing a video with this chick! Aren't I awesome? Yeah!"
People who don't realize where they are in the industry and what their limitations are don't make it far. At the same time, those who don't push for something greater don't get very far either. It's a fine line between being out-of-the-box, pushing-the-envelope professional, and just being a dick. I don't know if MAX ever found that line. He was just, "Yeah, I draw for a living! I can totally reboot SatAM."
Then there was he-who-is-not-Voldemort-but-also-shall-not-be-named who actually managed to produce a whole trailer. MAX ranked second only to him in un-professionalism.
Believe it or not...

Sega has no interest in Satam. If and when there's a new Sonic cartoon it will be based on the games. Nowadays Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Cream, and Blaze are the characters that the fans want to see. The new fans have little to no interest in characters like Sally, Bunnie, Antione, and Rotor.
The only reason that we even got Satam is because the Sonic games had little to no story at the time.

More like the Sonic franchise was just starting out(3 years). The sad truth that people need to realise is that there never will be a Satam sequel or reboot.

As sad as that statement is, you couldn't be more right.
Sega couldn't care less about this series anymore.
It's all about their characters and their ideals now...
