LOL
Sonic actually calls Robotnik, "Robuttnik."
Sally uses a hoverboard to fly around?
I like that idea.
Although, I don't get the part about Nicole reprogramming boxes.
Shouldn't it be written instead that Nicole reprograms electronic devices of Robotnik's instead?
And she even kisses Sonic on the cheek in one zone after getting rescued?
Sweet.
Bunnie's control moves was nice too, as she can use her robotic arm as a battering ram.
Man, why was this game canceled?
It looked really cool.

to my understanding the boxes sally moves using Nicole are puzzles (kinda like in portal) Yuji Naka former head of Sega of japan didn't want the game made

Boy, you got that right.
Nice going, Naka.
Yea, we could have an interesting Sonic game, but he'd rather we have the same old, run through rings and stuff.
Brilliant...

Because that was terrible. Seriously, it looked about as fun as Sonic Spinball.
Hilariously, it had you running through rings. Way to go, NAKA! Actually, where's the source that Naka got rid of this? As far as I see, this was an early version of Sonic X-treme, which had tons of problems that led to it not being released (and had the SataM concepts dropped long before that.) The SataM parts of the game weren't dropped due to any orders by Naka (who had already given them the okay anyway,) but by disinterest from the development team.

Is this the game with that infamous demo video?

That was just a prototype. Because of it, it has yet to make improvements which had never happened. Is this the game with that infamous demo video?

I can't help but feel a little sad everytime I see this.
As for Sonic Mars I've seen that script before and it's interesting.
I can't help but wonder if things would have turned out differently if we had gotten a Satam game?

Maybe had it gone through and been successful, Satam elements could have appeared in the SA games.
Now that would have been interesting to see.

Well even if we had gotten a Satam game I think we still would have gotten Sonic Adventure 1&2. But I have to wonder if we would have gotten Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06?
Maybe, maybe not.
I really don't know to be honest.

Spinball was too hard and pissed you off.
Mean Bean Machine was the same.
And Dark Brotherhood despite having some SatAM elements botched it.

Sega of America never made any good Sonic games.
Spinball was too hard and pissed you off.
Mean Bean Machine was the same.
And Dark Brotherhood despite having some SatAM elements botched it.
Uh, you do realize Sega of America helped make SA2 right?
But yea, I agree with you that the game that did have Satam and AOSTH elements were not that good.

I wonder if the Sonic-16 prototype will ever surface. Though it could be that there never was a prototype and the whole thing was just a mock-up...

Hey...I liked mean bean machine. My family used to play it quite often when I was young. My mom and I would get pretty competitive...I remember one time my Dad lost miserably and through the controller down in anger. Nowadays my sister has gotten so good she can beat any of us no problem. Ahhh...I've got good mean bean machine memories
LOL
I think I can relate to your Dad in terms of frustration in Mean Bean Machine.
That game was so hard to play, I could barely beat the first computer player.
Then again, I didn't play it too much because of that, so maybe that's why...
