@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Those pics are quite sad to look at to say the least...

Not to mention the design here is very bizarrely drawn too except for her head.

Her roboticized form in #29 looked more realistic than this.

Although, what reward is there in that really to be perfectly honest?

Mecha Sally...

Just saying the name sounds so wrong. :tsktsk:

What were you thinking, Ian?

There were so many better options to go with, and you just had to pick one of the worst.

Aside from the hair, I like it. It should have some great payoffs considering how she's always been portrayed as super-important to the team's success in the past.

Normally I'd be excited to see what happens after this but...now, I couldn't care less.

Agreed.

I don't know why I even bother to care anymore.

This is just beyond appaling.

Well, if Ian wanted to tick off Sally fans, he sure did his job there. :tsktsk:

Perhaps...

Still, every time I look at those those pics of her new form, I can't help but hate it vehemently.

Sally didn't deserve this kind of fate.

Its not how Mecha Sally looks that bores me, its just the comic in general. "Oooh, another plot twist. This seems just as suspenseful as the Genesis reboot..." I just don't find myself getting curious to see what happens in the series anymore. Its just...boring.

Personally, I don't find it boring, but when something like this happen, I start thinking, What, another bombshell story? Haven't we had enough of those already?

The strange thing about Ian is even though you know his story will more then likely disappoint when it's all said and done, the intrigue of it is still strong.

I dunno...

I really should just stop taking peeks here and there to see what's currently going on in Archie Sonic. I mean, compared to Sonic Satam, there's nothing there worth seeing anyway.

Exactly. If something like this were done in the show...no, when it WAS done on the show, (in a way, even though it was a dream) it was a lot more intriguing. Now that we have this going on in the comics I just don't care to follow because it'll most likely be badly written and/or executed. Like I said before, its just gotten bland imo. If the Iron Dominion saga and such weren't very captivating, what makes this one any different? A major character getting robotisized? WOW, that's never happened before.

Sadly, this has already been done... Again and again with different characters but still. And even Sally once herself was robotized once before, so it's not like it's something new. So really this isn't that big of a shock.

Now when SONIC got robotized, that was an epic arc. Sure the fallout of it wasn't as interesting, I mean seriously how could they all think Sonic would betray them like that? But the whole Mecha Madness battle was just amazing. It had the best artwork the comic has ever seen, followed by the most awesome battles between Sonic Vs Bunnie and Sonic Vs Knuckles.

I mean if they're trying to top that story, I highly doubt it, because robotizing the freedom fighters to turn them evil has just been beaten with a dead horse.

Yea, roboticization is indeed nothing new.

So, what was the point in doing it again to Sally?

You know, for some strange reason, I almost get the feeling Ian did this to make it so Sally could fight since she was mostly useless in her normal form.

Nah, can't be that simple of an explanation...

Agreed.

For roboticization to have any more merit, someone who never experienced it before should go through.

Personally, I think that someone should have been Dulcy.

I mean, for a character with so much power, she would be the ultimate weapon for Eggman to utilize during this time.

Seriously, what on earth could Sally do as a robot that Dulcy couldn't easily top?

Sally can think. Also, roboticized Freedom Fighter has been done twice. One of those two times was Mecha Madness.

Without a doubt. It was one of the few issues where Spaz did the pencils, explaining the level of detail you won't see in the comics anymore.

Sally can think.

So what if she can think better than Dulcy?

If that's the only advantage she has a robot, that's really nothing to get intrigued about.

And besides, she's going to be a robot slave, in other words, have no control over her actions.

So what difference is that really going to make?

Also, roboticized Freedom Fighter has been done twice. One of those two times was Mecha Madness.

Other than Mecha Madness and Issue 29, I can't think of anything other issues where one of the main Freedom Fighters was roboticized.

If she's controlled to be evil, but she can still think, then the Freedom Fighter's best strategist who knows all the ins and outs of everything: the heroes, the kingdoms, the defenses, is now under Eggman's control. Even discounting the moral victory, that's very bad, much worse than a dragon-bot could ever hope to be.

And yes, no other issues having that story is the point.

Ok, when you put it that way, Sally as a robot does sound much more threatening than I originally thought.

Still, even if she did, as you said, "sabotage the kingdom from within", I still don't believe she could cause as much havoc overall like Dulcy could, striking fear in the hearts of the citizens with her huge size and powerful abilities.

That is the damage I really believe Eggman will do. His damage won't be so much internal, since more than likely every citizen and FF will be on high alert due to Sally being Eggman's control, but externally, where buildings will be damaged, and citizens and officials injured.

Dulcy's just a big robot. Heck, not even that big a robot. There's nothing she brings to the table as a roboticized Mobian outside of a single issue, and Eggman can build his own robot dragon for that anyway.

Yes, Eggman could make his own robot dragon if he really wanted to.

Actually, I wish he would. It sure would look make the battles between him and the FF's alot more interesting.

Anyway, you forgot one key element about Dulcy.

She can breathe large flames of fire and shoot ice beams.

In a super powered roboticized body, Ducly could do ALOT of damage against The Republic of Acorn.

Granted, we don't know how powerful this, "Mecha Sally" will be, but if it's anything like I think Ian has in mind, she will be a force to be reckoned with.

And whatever damage Sally could do, Dulcy would be able to do it
X10 better.

Seriously, what on earth makes you think Dulcy as a robot would easily be manhandled within 1 issue?

Did you not watch the episode Dulcy starred in during the 2nd Season of Sonic Satam? She basically took out the entire fleet of Swatbots and Hover Units Robotnik sent out in less than a minute.

That's why Sally is the not the best choice here for Eggman's robo slave.

Yes, she's a brilliant tactician and knows the outs and ins of the kingdom, but that advantage alone won't help in the long run.

Sooner or later, the kingdom will make adjustments to counter this weakness. Even the FF's will too.
