@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I'm so psyched for this game! Really wished I had a PS3 or XBOX, cuz it's really hard to wait 3 weeks for the 3ds version to come out. Perhaps I should get the PC download instead, but not sure if I have all the specs required to run the game....gonna have to look at that.

Music is great as always! :guitar:

I've just preordered the game. I'M SO PUMPED!!! I have it all planned. When i get and play the game, i'll wear my japanese Sonic shirt. It has classic on it, and when playing as Modern, i'll put on my modern sonic shirt!

.......And i just effing found out that my effing parents won't let me play it 'till damn Christmas...........

THAT'S THE PROBLEM! I PRE-ORDERED it, and my mom thinks i did that JUST for Casino Night and the theme, but i did that to have it BEFORE CHristmas, so that my thirst for City Escape and CHemical Plant, along with Spagonia's Rooftop Run, quenched!

.......howvever, i MIGHT be getting it for my birthday, which is just 5 days after Christmas, so what's the point of that?

I just might get it early. It hasn't come today, so it'll most likely come tomorrow. If not, i'll be REALLY pissed off, because i'll be gone one Thursday through Saturday for All-state choir.

EDIT: At school, we have something called "Channel 1", a news show for us students. So, the intro for every episode has numbers with circles around them. They each come out in a certain fashion, counting down to ten. Today, November 1, 2011, rIght as i see the number 4, i freak out. Why? Because the background was SONIC GENERATIONS!! I literally screamed out loud, and before that, one of my friends who sits on the other side of the room yelled, "Where's Zane?"

Good times.......

Why is this topic in the Media World, instead of in The Games?

Zane, I get the "Freak Out" thing. So you know how Harry Potter 7 part 2 showed a trailer for the new Thundercats? Well....I kind of screamed "THUNDERCATS" when the logo came on...in front of 100+ people. It was a premiere no one will forget anytime soon.

Anyway, I'm planning on getting the PC version of Sonic Generations since I don't have any of the other platforms. Totally stoked to get it.

Well, if you had it pre-ordered, tell you're mom you have to get it early before before the free DLC expires, and that if these features DO expire, she can pay for the content on XBOX Live to make up for it.

I got mine this morning at 10, and got to the final boss before 3. The game is not long as far as the story goes, and the boss battles are real limited. Yet, it's still a good game. The levels are great, the music is fun, and you have plenty of extra stuff to work with once your done, such as collectable art, music, missions, leader boards challenges... Oh, and all the levels re-imagined. That's cool too, I guess.

It's a shame, though. While Sonic games are never really that long, this has to be the shortest one I've played yet, extras or not. More levels would have been more than welcomed. I mean, couldn't we get two or more stages per game? Or more fleshed out levels, like Sonic Colors did. Why just those specific titles? Why not include level designs from Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Advance, Rush, Chronicles... hell, why not a few original levels of their own? I know, I know... It's all about the history... but this would have thrown gamers for a loop, don't you think? Maybe have the boss tear through the levels, which causes some to become misshapen, or even combine with other levels? Imagine dead lifeless Green Hill zone, or Chemical plant merged with Speed Highway? Or... why not a sneak peak at a future level they have planned for their next Sonic title? They're fighting a time traveling villain, why not?

And the bosses! It needed more bosses. Give us more old classics, newly designed creations, something, anything, just more than four! (The battles with the other hedgehogs are more mini-bosses than anything.)

Though, fortunately, the positives out way the negatives for me, and what we have here is a pretty cool game. At least it wasn't a broken down mess like a certain other anniversary game...

OH, one last thing.

Casino Knight zone. It's just a pinball simulator and the actual stage will be in the 3DS version. Niiiice.... guh.

I haven't watched the old Thundercats.............and i went to see HP 7 PT 2 with my youth group at church, and we all clapped at the end with the same amount of people. We also said "boo!" at something bad, and "woo!" At something good.

Dude, you're missing out. >sigh< Curse today's lack of awesomeness. -.- I swear, I am going to make sure my little brother (he's one) watches nothing but the good stuff: Sonic Satam, Thundercats, and anything else I can think of.

Yay for appreciation of the classics of the 80's-90's. Boo for games with downloadable content, because I can't download such stuff...

I like free download content that adds to the game. I don't like games that charge you extra to get the whole game.

I liked it. I'm still not a big fan of the controls for Sonic ever since Sonic Unleashed, I strongly preferred the more "free" and ability to explore style of Sonic Adventure, but they really improved on level design and overall control here. I got release day delivery for only 99 cents and the game itself for something like 37.50. Well worth that! And you have several missions that are like mini levels themselves, so there is still plenty to do once you beat the main game.

Hey FUS, Wild here. I've only been playing Generations for a day and I feel like I have to say this. I believe SEGA may have finally done something right. This game is concentrated happy straight into my brain. Every level i've played has had the right mix of speed and challenge to be only EPIC!!! I've been noticing little fan nods as well, like in City Escape there are a couple of posters of note. I saw a missing persons poster featuring Mighty and Ray and a wanted poster with none other than Nack the Weasel. The bonus music tracks and boss battles and what knot are awesome on a level I cannot describe. This game is a present to people that have followed the series for the past 20 years. What i've seen is riddled with fan service. Simply put, I love this game...

I've been on the lookout for several fan "easter eggs" in the game as well. As mentioned there are wanted posters of Nack and also the missing posters. At least two levels have those "facing springs" where if you don't jump they just keep knocking you back and fourth. The classic Ocean Palace level has those breakaway underwater poles like in Sonic 3's Hydrocity Zone. The Death Egg is slowly rising in the background on the classic Sky Sanctuary stage. There is a remix of Super Sonic Racing during some of the missions, and tons more.
My favorite is a very subtle one. You get your FOURTH chaos emerald after defeating Shadow. Remember in the Shadow the Hedgehog game, one of his famous quotes, what chaos emerald was Shadow getting very upset about finding...
