@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Well, after all of us found out what Sally's fate is going to be, i think it's safe to say that with alot of the long time fans of not only the SatAM show, but also the comic itself, are not liking the direction that Ian is going with this. There's going to be alot of bashing on his end about what he's doing to certain characters.

I wouldn't say Ian and I are friends. Sometimes, I do wonder why I haven't been banned, like some others that I do know have, because I have been harsh on his message board.

Well, Ian must like or respect you somewhat, because he doesn't hesistate to ban others who speak their mind about his decision making.

A few I know on FUS and SMS haven't been so lucky.

I haven't been banned on BKF either, but I haven't been so vocal on there, just because I don't see the point.

I mean, Ian has too many supporters on his site for it to do any good.

Most of the decisons he makes, they're like... Yea, well done, Ian. Nice job.

No need, I looked up the banned list. It took them months to get around to banning him, and even then he came back two more times. For some reason, I doubt it was because he dared to make a comment that had a different opinion, especially when THERE ARE MULTIPLE USERS RIGHT NOW who are doing the same thing. It takes some serious bias to think that bwrosas could only be ever banned because the admin couldn't stand a dissenter existing in their ranks.

I don't even know who Mrsandman is and I really do not care.

Then that proves you didn't do all your homework about this.

He was banned for that very reason months ago.

He known on there on BK as, Geki the reviewer

Perhaps you remember some of his topics. He wasn't exactly known for holding back when criticizing Ian.

Anyway, maybe bwrosas did exaggerate a lil about all those getting banned.

But one thing I do know, Ian is very specific about not wanting any criticism about his work. And that kind of tells me he can't handle it.

If what you're saying is true that he isn't banning anyone now, then that can only mean he's too busy to bother with it now due to 230 coming out.

Perhaps he wants to shut up his critics that way instead of just kicking them out.

Oh god Geki the Reviewer, yes I DEFINITELY know that guy and wow he was not banned for having a different opinion. He also took months to get banned, so it clearly wasn't for something you can discern before a hundred posts or so. Meanwhile, I can explicitly name a whole lot of posters who've been giving criticism for the comic, both constructive and otherwise, for a VERY long time. I'd rather not do so in the public forum, but if you need a PM of that sort I can give you a small sampling of them. And now you're stating that Ian is currently trying to get rid of any critics by... doing nothing. Brain genius logic there.

And you know this how?

I saw alot of his posts on there. He would even make topics, calling out Archie and Ian, saying they could do a better job in so many words.

You can't tell me they didn't play a part in him getting perm banned.

And now you're stating that Ian is currently trying to get rid of any critics by... doing nothing. Brain genius logic there.

You didn't read my post throughly.

I said, PERHAPS that's what he's doing. It was just a thought I had.

I heard he was going to New York for something regarding Sonic, so yea, it could be he's just very busy at the moment.

I honestly don't know.

But I also refuse to believe Ian all of a sudden is no longer banning people for criticizing him. There must be some reason why he's holding back for now.

Yeah, the reason is that he never did it in the first place. I'm not denying that Geki didn't like the comic, I'm saying that's not at all why he was banned. He was banned because he acted like an idiot and ignored every rule there was. I'm actually surprised he wasn't permabanned the first time he posted full scans of the comic, that was back when it was an absolute rule. And you're still thinking that Ian is actively getting rid of naysayers by DOING NOTHING TO DISSUADE THEM. Do you not see how that line of logic just falls apart entirely? And again: still lots of people who disagree, have disagreed for a long time (long before 230) and give criticism on the comic that are in no way banned. Are those just being ignored because they make the accusation less plausible?

You sure do like to put words in my mouth, don't you?

I never said this is what he is doing. I was just trying to come up with a reason for why he's doing it now.

In fact, I remember back after 225 was released, when those talking about Sally's fate quite extensively, Ian wasn't exactly that mellow about it.

Also, I remember he even locked a thread because he, "wanted everyone to cool off. Including him."

What does that tell you?

Anyway, again, I'll say this so you understand.

I do not know for sure why he's easing off all of a sudden, ok?

After that full cover of 232 was released, it's like he finally gave it up, like he didn't care anymore what people thought. He even began to open to everyone about his true intentions too.

Why, who knows?

If you think my guesses are off based for trying to explain it, and yes, that's what they are, then fine. Think what you want for all I care.

Ian is a very hard person to figure out. So why he does things when he does them is a mystery.

And I'm saying that he's not 'easing up' because he never did the thing you're accusing him of. Sally's death caused lots of fights which exasperated EVERYBODY including him. The problem was not people who didn't like Sally dead, it was the tons of fights breaking out over it. And yet... I don't remember all the naysayers being banned for it. Hrm. You know, it's really odd that for a guy who bans everyone with a different opinion or criticism of the comic, he never seems to ban people for having a different opinion or criticism of the comic...

To be honest, I actually would love to see this latest story arc end up that way. :stirthepot:

But, I seriously doubt Sega and Archie will let Ian do that.

It would in fact, as I've said before, be the ultimate cop-out.

Oh how about the fact that Sonic points out the fact to Knuckles that being on Angel Island, he and the Chaotix should have the Death Egg coming and could have warned them.

And I will admit this, what sense does it make for Ian to kill Sally at the end of 225, restore/save her in 230 (Genesis excepted) and then turn into a robot at the end of the Same issue and what I saw coming a MILE AWAY, having Eggman working on and possibly dismantling her off panel/off screen in 232, I mean what sense does that make? None really if you ask me, which leads to believe that it's possibly something more then meets the eye.
