Didn't know they had a cartoon for it. Given the nature of the movie, I don't see how they could make one that wasn't something like a ripoff of Ghostbusters, though... A lot of movie-related cartoons tend to suck, because they can't capture the nature of the movies. Or because the movies were never intended to be anything more than one-shot deals.I saw the Evolution cartoon and hated it. Ripoff of Ghostbusters

Hey, Ghostbusters wasn't a bad movie... What was bad was that weird Ghostbusters cartoon series with the people and the old jalopy and the monkey...
That is actually based on a TV show which had the rights to the Title "Ghost Busters" before the Movie (Which I actually find awesome by the way). However, Dan Aykroyd bought the rights to the name from Filmation when he made the Ghostbusters movie. Filmation decided to be a butt and and Make a cartoon series based off of the old TV series to steal some of the action from the Ghostbuster's Success.

Terrible acting? Its got goddamn Jeff Bridges in it. I don't know what you been smoking, man.Come on people, dont try to help out Tron: Legacy. Lets be honest, it had a good plot, but beyond terrible acting. That just took away from the entire film. Its the same thing with Titan A.E.
And Titan A.E. is a classic. Was the last real animated movie to come out before the advent of CGI cartoons.
I have been smoking the truth of reality. Even Jeff's performance sucked. It sucked... SUCKED. So did Titan A.E. Do you own either of these on DVD?? I bet you dont, because they SUCKED.

I should point out that not only do I have both on DVD, I have the book on Titan A.E., a DVD that I recorded off of TV of Titan A.E., The first Tron on VHS and DVD, and I went to see Tron Legacy in theaters twice. (Of course once was because someone else wanted to go see it and invited me.)

I thought the first three were fun horror movies, I'm a sucker for killer toys. The first one was a good start, the second one was a good end, and the third was a prequel to the first... And they work pretty well together.
... Then the fourth one undeworld demons take on the puppets... it was lame.
The fifth one continues with the demon crap... Also lame.
The six one introduces a new idea with the puppets owned by a new owner. It starts off decently... but the ending just ruins everything for me... Imagine the film starting off slow... then things pick up a little... things just get batshit insane, and then something really stupid happens a few minutes later... and it just ends. PPHHHHHFFFFFFFF-
The seventh is an attempt at a reboot set in the early 1900's, and while the visuals are great, the plot didn't do it for me.
The eighth was just a clipshow. Theirs some new footage, but it's just a short story that wraps itself with past movie clips... nice
... Oh, there was another one that was made for tv... I like to pretend it never existed.
In short, the first three are fun films... just about everything else I waant to throw in a fire.

Well ok ok. I will take Titan A.E. and Tron: Legacy off the list. Even though, I still wasnt impressed, but maybe I just have that unique taste in movies. Are we in agreeance with the others on the list? LOL

Both these movies were really unpleasant to watch; the characters were either too creepy or complete douchebags, the animation was chaotic and awkward; and the many of the scenes were packed to the brim with unnecessary/pointless mature content.
I appreciate what Ralph Bakshi was going at, trying to show that animation wasn't strictly for kids; but I think he overdid it. Unlike other adult-oriented animated films which used mature material in more subtle degrees and had an importance (like in "Princess Mononoke" and "Grave of the Fireflies"), Bakshi's films felt like they were trying too hard to be adult films. It's like Bakshi wanted to make his films stand out from other cartoons by shoving in as much sex, drugs, swearing, and violence that they possibly could into nearly every single scene. If anything, it made the films feel less adult and more immature in terms of quality.
Of course, that's just my opinion.

You might say that makes both Fritz and South Park rather shallow, and you'd be right. But it worked -- it just didn't last.

Fritz was innovative at the time because cartoons back then just didn't have those things. The original comics by Crumb were also driven by the same principle (though Crumb's approach was very different in other ways, and Crumb hated the movie). It's like when South Park first aired compared to now. South Park was hilarious because you didn't see that stuff in cartoons. (It was also hilarious because I was too young to watch it at the time...) Now there's nothing innovative about South Park and it's no longer funny, even if you rewatch the early seasons.

Either way, that's where I saw it. And I just found it to be utter trite.
Oddly enough, I didn't mind the first one. Second one I didn't see.
