That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

K so I found some epic SWATbot sprites, and I changed the sprites to that, unfortunately it is one of those give you the pieces and you make the poses, so I'll fix him, but as of now he's a really cool looking SWATbot doing the can-can to move.
That's all for me today, maybe I'll do some more tomorrow.

Post another video...I wanna see the can-can swat bots!!!

After watching the video again...I'll have to agree with you that the level needs re-designed a bit. Not just the flooded foreset floor, but also the background. It looks like an ocean with islands instead of a forest floor.

Very nice! I'd suggest adding laser guns to the swatbots if it's not too much trouble. The forest looks...well...like a forest now. And the sign at the end is awesome!!!

There will be multiple kinds of SWATbots (they'll look pretty much the same) but some while Sonic is close will stop and start shooting at him.

You seem disappointed in the forest, like I could do better?

It's getting there, man! Though, with the addition of the Swatbots, some more badnicks would be pretty cool too. If you want, I can take some classic robot sprites from the old games and try to give them a satam look (less toony, more threatening looking). And the swat bots... they seem way to stiff for my taste (with the arms tucked down, it just looks a little unnatural. Though, to be fair, Swatbot sprites aren't to common, though, I've found a few others I like:

It's just a lot more fluent. The problem is it's a step away from the original design.

Another gripe... The swatbots need to get totaled! Like, have sonic spin through them, and you see an arm and the head fly off, and then it everything blows up.


I'm a stickler for detail, I'm afraid xD

If it would be cool, could I try to add to the swatbot sprites you used? Give it a more even walk cycle and the explosion? It's just the artist in me wanting to go crazy.

I uploaded the sheet to ImageShack because they're on Mystical Forest Zone but it has you download a zip, then extract it for only one sheet.
They're under the Robotnik Sheet so they'll be a lot of Robotnik.
They're at the bottom.

Well...I started working on the music for the game, but it didn't take me long to realize that in order for the music to fit the game it's going to need to sound like music from the Genesis. So to do that I've had to dig into the world wide web and learn just how music was composed for the Genesis...and it's a lot different then how it's done today. Lets just say that this project is making me stretch a little. But I'm enjoying the opportunity to learn something new!

So I've come across a problem for the cutscenes. Sabre could you possibly cut the Black Dialog Box of the mugshots? The Problem is the Mugshots need to be scaled, which is easy to do and I can manage that myself. Unfortunately when I do it make the dialog box too small. If they were removed we could add them in separately and adjust the size to fit. Otherwise Sonic and friends are going to have one to to word sentences...

Here is the Rough Draft of the First Cutscene.


I had to do some editing to the mugshots for the Rough Draft. Also the sounds are temporary place holders. And my Spin Dash Rev sound effect came out...really bad...so I cut it.
