I recently worked with Ken Penders on a new off-panel strip. It involves Hershey and Geoffrey, and is based on a joke from Bumbleking. You can check it out at my website here for all the details. If any of you guys hang out at Bumbleking you can drop a link there. They'll probably get the joke more readily than others.
To be very honest,
Dude, as a Hershey's fan, that's not cool. I like Hershey the Cat alot. I hope Archie someday finally own the rights from Ken and maybe she'll appear in the comics in the future. If they ever win this lawsuit.

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. Ken Penders does not own anything he created for Archie, no matter what he claims.I'm laughing more at the fact of the 'Geoffrey St. John and Hershey the Cat © 2011 Ken Penders' at the bottom of the page.
Also, characters aren't copyrightable. The works they're from are.

Let me be implicitly clear on this: the current legal brouhaha has had absolutely no impact on the current or up-coming story arcs.
The death reveal and its fallout were part of the architecture when building the "Ixis Geoffrey" subplot and planned before the lawsuit was made public.

Seems like Penders is desperate for attention.
Agree 100%

Ian has said that the current storyline with Geoffrey and Hershey has nothing to do with the legal battle between Mr. Penders and Archie.
Let me be implicitly clear on this: the current legal brouhaha has had absolutely no impact on the current or up-coming story arcs.
The death reveal and its fallout were part of the architecture when building the "Ixis Geoffrey" subplot and planned before the lawsuit was made public.
umm.. I still think this is the joke the lawsuit Represents is Hershey and in turn Penders) and a slight nod(Slap) to GL Vol.3's(Ron Marz's Infamous Run) Refrigerator Scene

...what are you talking about? And please don't insult a genuine talent like Gail Simone by comparing her to Ken Penders. >_O;Hey,guys didn't Gail Simone tell the DC artists well not to do that scene
Sure is not funny now!
EDIT: OK, nevermind; reading the Comic actually made this post make a LOT more sense. Sorry for my confusion.

uh
KEN PENDERS: No, you see, it's a commentary on an ongoing intellectual property dispute--
ME: Sure, ok.
KEN PENDERS: But I'm trying to explain how it's not weird or--
ME: Fine, whatever you say!
KEN PENDERS: I'm just saying that you don't have to edge away from me like that--
ME: DON'T TOUCH ME! STAY BACK!

that's ok i read that issue too but i personally think archie screws creators of proper money and royalties and/or copyrights take a look at dan decarlo he was one of the great archie artists that i know and guess what archie did They worked him like a dog and he sues archie for Josie and the pussycats and Sabrina's copyright Decarlo not only Lost the Battle for those characters but he died in 2001 if archie had a damned backbone they would those families of those artists the money they so desperately deserve...what are you talking about? And please don't insult a genuine talent like Gail Simone by comparing her to Ken Penders. >_O;Hey,guys didn't Gail Simone tell the DC artists well not to do that scene
