That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

Hey MoKat, I just wanted to thank you for your hard work in getting these transcripts up. When I first offered FUS's help with the transcript thing I figured I would be able to do a bunch of them, handle the project easily and so on..

Heh. I wouldn't do this sort of thing for just any ol' series; SatAM is what got me into the messed up thing called the "Sonic fandom" in the first place. :D

Needless to say I wasn't thinking too clearly on all the other stuff I have going on with the site (which you should see in September, early October..Hopefully).

I'm wookin'...er, um 'working'...on "Sub Sonic" now & have a major question.
That episode never gives a name (or even a species) for the subterranean creature who said he was "once king of a beautiful world" that was destroyed. So what should I call him in the transcript? (Sonic only refers to him as "big guy"...but that's also what he calls Tails from time to time, so that's no good.)

{EDIT: And if there are any issues with past transcripts, -please- let me know now, so I won't repeat any annoying things while I'm working on this transcript. ;)}

Here's a quick update on the project. The last two weeks have been quite crazy for me. Last week I had a major project deadline that I had to literally drop everything for. As for this week...I've spent much of it on the road (more than I had planned due to a flooded Missouri River). So now that things are starting to quiet down I'm able to devote more time to the project. By the end of the week I should have three new episodes up on the site. Thanks once again for all your contributions...keep 'em coming!!!

I heard about the flooding; traffic was rerouted all over the place. :augh:

I tried my hand at transcripting Sonic's Nightmare. I sent it to Bakuda the other day. I had a little trouble understanding a few lines, and the the transcript has a bit of a narrative feel to it because I described what was happening, what characters were doing, their expressions...

Let me know if you want me to continue that rout.

Heh. For a second there, you guys had me confused; I thought "Didn't I already give that one to Bakuda?" :unsure:

Anyway, which episodes are left? Do any of them take top priority?

[edit: By my reckoning, "Warp Sonic" and "Sonic Past Cool" remain from the first season. I'm not thrilled by either one, but at least "Sonic Past Cool" has Bunnie in it :bunnie: ]

Anyway...because the characters called the two Terrapods "Baby T" and "Mama T" in "Sonic Past Cool", I'm going with those names in the transcript. If all goes well, I should have it ready before the weekend.

I don't know how long it will take me, but I already have 3 minutes (out of 22 and a half)

Haha, I do the exact same thing. If I can't make out a phrase, or even a single word, I color the whole sentence red.


As for me, the deed is done... well, half of it. Finished Fed up with Antoine and Ghostbusted. It was my first time seeing it... and, given the fact the shorts are regarded as the worst... I was amazed by how ok it was. I mean, by far my least favorite (... some how, I think Odd couple/Robecca will be my number one least favorite... just a hunch), but for what it was, the shorts were decent. The acting was as good as always, and the characters writing and their actions were still pretty entertaining. The only problem was that the plots were just underwhelming.

Fun fact: Years ago, I read the comic tie in with Ghost-busted. It was a short version of the story with the exact same writing... Well, I dug it up while I was transcripting... and I was amazed that the artwork was just so... so... Bad.

Well, I'll get to work on... the next shorts... whhoooo.

Maybe after that, I'll get to do some better episodes.
