@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I guess even evil has standards.
I believe in what I want to believe in, you believe in what you want to believe in, so when someone wants to believe in something, no one will know what to believe!

This is amusing, but also kinda sad. I can't comprehend why a group like the KKK should bother trying to 'rebrand' itself. If they really want to reform, they should call themselves something else. Do they understand that there is a very large segment of the public that will recoil in horror at the very mention of their name? There is a good reason for that...

They hate gays, and might even lynch them someday. I think their "re-branding" is merely a focus shift. And don't think guys in white bed sheets will stop burning crosses on black people's lawns either under the acronym "KKK".

Yeah, it's very sad. A house divided against itself will fall, and America's bickering with itself has been escalating for some time now. Not sure how long it will be before something dangerous breaks out again. I'm not being all "Repent! Fire and brimstone! Judgment Day is coming!" or anything like that, but I can see it getting pretty scary in the future if tensions escalate more in this direction.

The KKK is a proud organization that defends its country. Being ashamed of the picketing of Soldiers funerals is actually somewhat expected of them. Seeing as the KKK fight for the better life for America, as well as the white race its not a big shock that they are against the WBC. Both may be hate groups but the WBC goes after everything and anything that isn't theirs. The world sucks basically according to them.

The KKK on the other hand would be proud of the soldiers defending their country.

As for the "re branding" themselves.. I can see it. Stranger things have happened. The KKK (even though they are not publicly active too much these days) is a large organization. If they actually moved out of their ways and did some good.. Itd be cool. Granted a name change of the group might be in need. Basically the not so radical members would have to separate and turn into a right wing political group... Or join the Republicans :P

Now I'm not defending the KKK in any way here, just stating a few things. Mainly the fact that the KKK being against the WBC is a understandable thing and not that much of a shock. KKK uphold their version of America (and some of Canada) and the WBC want to just say everyone is going to hell.

If I didn't know better, I would have gotten a Birth of a Nation vibe from your post, chief. But yes, I see what you're saying. And I think we both know that simply because the KKK is fighting for their vision for America and parts of Canada doesn't mean their right in any way. But it does give them different motives from WBC, who also aren't right.

The two can't realize that two wrongs don't make a right, because neither of the groups sees themselves as being wrong or harmful. But that opposing group over there, gosh darn it...!

Though, I really don't know how the KKK will "fight"/oppose WBC other than doing what they've done so far: saying stuff over the media. I doubt they'd go all retro-style on WBC and start hanging Baptists from trees as they burn crosses or whatever on their lawns.

Oh they are both hate groups no doubt about it. And haha I wasn't trying to defend them in any way, nor do I support them. All I was getting at was the KKK are "fighting" for their America, and that involves supporting its army and so on. WBC are just out there to hate on everyone. Where as the KKK are.. just racist. I'm not meaning just as in racism is nothing..But I'm sure you get what I mean. Both are hate groups though so.. Screw em :P
