@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Whoa, zane!
In the super old archie comic sonic 0, it says that sonic met sally and she showed him knothole. He met her near one of robotniks work camps.

And besides, new robotnik is incredulously stupid. I prefer the old, super evil robotnik.

I remember reading an issue where the story in number 0 was retconned.
Once the details about Robotnik, the Roboticizer, Uncle Chuck and the coup d'etat were revealed, the story was rewritten adding Sonic and Sally as childhood friends, which were taken off from the newly created Robotropolis by the Original Freedom Fighters, and hidden in Knothole.

Don't we all?

Too bad Archie and Sega were too stubborn to see that.

Isn't it sad that the only reason people want Robotnik Prime back is that the comic doesn't have a functioning villian?

Just how low of a nadir has the story telling in this comic fallin into when it comes to story telling 101?

With Ken and Ian adding their own two cents the past 5 years?

Very low unfortunately.

Compared to Julian?

No way.

This Robotnik is just a wannabe compared to Robotnik Prime.

Yeah, what's with those Egg Grapes and wiping out the Golden Beehive Colony and wiping out Echidnaopolis with the Dingo Empire and bombing Albion and burning Knothole to the ground and forcing good people to be cyborg soldiers with threat of explosive cybernetic parts and recapturing Sonic's parents just to gloat and killing his family twice? Clearly he needs to get back to some real terror, like Spawn-mobiles, a robo-hypnosis, or insecticide bombs!

Yeah I'm already bored with this just refer back to any topic on this before ever for the rest. Silly is non-canon canon, clown shoes, nuking the nukes, killing Nate Morgan, blah blah blah blah.

I'm basically referring to the Satam Robotink. Robotnik Prime in the comic was very watered down compared to him.

The comic unfortunately followed too much of the AOSTH format when Julian was in it, thus removing the intimidation he was known for in the cartoon.

Plus, Eggman became Ian's tool to get rid of "loose ends" in the comic.

Most of that stuff you mentioned didn't happen until after Ian became the writer.

Also Thoses events are then swept under the rug just as fast as they happend and with Eggy going back to his clown self, nullify any menace he might have had.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Enough of the clown robotnik!

Give us a real villian for a change.

Julian was brilliant, at times even darker than his SatAM iteration, during the year or so leading up to Endgame, and in all his depictions in "Tales of the Great War".

The new Robotnik/Eggman, upon his initial takeover in #75, was deadly as well, and while I hated the character redesign there was no denying that he was a very strong villain.

Then he became more like the games' vision of the character, and he's suffered since.

You can blame Sega of Japan for that.

They've replaced so much of the Satam content with their own corny game nonsense just because they could.

 Maybe they should have learned the old saying, "It ain't broke, don't fix it."

Ironically I was watching the Documentary feature on the SUPERMAN : DOOMSDAY movie and one the ladies on there said, that one of their jobs was to torture the reader by torturing the character. Now when you hear someone say that, espeically someone that worked on one of the most imfamous Comic Book storyarc's of all-time, then what does that perhaps tell you about Ian and what's he's doing now.

And you bring up OTHER-M , let's not forget that, Ian killed Sally in that webcomic by having an Insane Tails shoot in the head, with him pulling the trigger off-screen. What does that tell you there?

Now I'm not saying he would off Sally in the main book, but he's covering all his bases to make sure everyone thinks that he did. But I feel Ian or whoever is in charge of the cover previews is eventually going to slip up, and I feel that time will come very soon, perhaps during the SU storyarc after Scourge's.

Now as for Bunnie and Fiona, well with Bunnie, he sorta did his thing with her in 217 and 218, but perhaps he will have something bigger planned for her, depending on the outcome of GENESIS and the affect it will have on her afterwards.

As for Fiona, if you read the SU issue of Journey to the East in which she appears, she hints towards the end, that she has something big planned to come that will everyone pay. So Ian's so far has her planned out for the future.

Now before I end this, I ask you to watch these two vids entitled Princess Sally Joins the list of Leading Ladies in having Cliffhanger Fates and give your thoughts on those as well and let me know if you agree:

Thanks!

Death of Superman isn't infamous because of any story quality (it was actually fairly well received, certainly moreso than the Return of Superman) it's infamous for singlehandedly creating and ultimately collapsing the comic book industry. The entire collector's market explosion can be traced back to that single story.

As a fan I am tired of the torture, I think it is time to ask for a change and have writer who will not do this sort of thing. We have to let Archie know that killing off Sally will not be tolerated.

Note that Ian isn't the first to try and kill her off. Don't blame him for this move, Archie itself had already approved it before hand.

While Archie is indeed to blame for this this, the fact Ian even wanted to make a story this sadistic shows he's just as bad as them or worse.

Whoever said that Archie Sonic was the red headed stepchild of Sonic Satam couldn't have hit the nail more clearly on the head.

This series is just despicable compared to the cartoon from DIC.
