That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

Nintendo Confirms Wii Successor



Taken straight from the article:

This console, believed to be code-named "Project Cafe", is rumored to be a powerful machine, boasting bigger and badder specifications than either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.



A playable model of the new system will be demoed at the E3 expo in LA from June 9-11. At that time Nintendo will also announce more specs on the new system.


It's about time Nintendo boosted their specs to rival the 360 and PS3. Rumor is that Microsoft and Sony don't plan on releasing new consoles until 2014...so this gives Nintendo a big head start for their new console. I'm excited to see what comes of this. To quote Jman up in the chatterbox, "OH snap!"

OH HELL YES! :augh:

It would definetly stop many of the exclusions, such as Sonic Generations, that have ocurred to the Wii because of its inability to produce "HD Graphics" and other things.

Better start saving up considering I just blew a bunch of $$ on the 3DS.(Worth it, though)

I can appreciate that, deep down it's always been the game itself and not its graphics that persuades me to get it. The problem is that there are many gamers (From what I've seen) who do not have that sense of appreciation of a game. They must always get the next-gen consoles because of the "HD Graphics" of the game, even if the game isn't very good. It's just like Classic Rock compared to modern hip-hop because much of today's generation is favoring the hip-hop over Classic Rock. (Don't get me wrong, some of the hip-hop is good, but for Classic Rock, everything is good.) :guitar:

The reason I support this move is that, Nintendo already makes good games for the Wii. So when we have a new powerful console, Nintendo will continue to make great games, and perhaps make the games even better with the new capabilities of the new software.

Y'know... Having gotten another NES console and being able to dust off and play my old NES games again has reminded me of something. Some of those old games are a lot more fun than their newer incarnates. That sort of goes onto one of my old rants about how people're too hung-up on how games look, as opposed to how playable and replayable they are. I think it'd be much more awesome to have stuff like a way more expansive Zelda game than one where you can see Link's nose hairs...

Also, I'm not fond of the idea of being 2 console generations behind everyone else...

Eeeeeh. Unless they give Metroid's developement back into the hands of Retro, I'm going to be very wary of a new Metroid game. I actively hated Other M instead of going "eh, that sucks, lets play something else" and that's never happened before.

Never played Other M, I was thinking of Prime style, tho I much prefer Super Metroid out of them all.

I'm kinda iffy on the controller design touch screen.. Personally I think the WII controller was just bad. Any game I played (minus baseball and junk) I had to have hooked up to that Wii classic controller.

Also I'm not too fond of touch screens in the first place.

Touchscreens are useful for making selections... Unless you're playing a game where you've got a section of the screen that has lots of options (such as the weapons/extra systems console of Airwolf), or a game like Scorched Earth, a touchscreen could just overly complicate gameplay.

Or better yet, how about Eternal Darkness. It could also have some potential for an Earthbound remake, if Nintendo ever decides to do that.

I'm afraid it will become the console of remakes.
That's what they're trying to do with the 3DS (Ocarina of Time 3D without almost new things/Rayman 3D without anything new--------thumbs down).
And wha they tried to do with the fat DS. Their first title was a remake! It rocked, but it was a remake.
