So the main topic: Would you want some characters from the satam cartoon or the archie continuity, and if so what characters and why would you want them in the fame

Sega just can't quit being such a stubborn mule about its games referring to the blue blur. The fact they just stick to the same path to me is just baffling at times.
What would they have to lose in making a game with the Sonic satam characters?
It's not like their current games are any threat to Nintendo's supremacy anyway.

But a platformer game based off that concept would equally rock. If it spanned the ENTIRE comic run, An RPG would be freakin EPIC!

... Isn't that what they said about Sonic Unleashed?
Which wasn't bad, save for the over use of the werehog, the incredibly annoying hub maps... and the coins... I HATED those night and day coins! Just let me play the next day time level, damn it!
... And Sonic Colors?
Which was pretty good, save for some overly easy boss fights.
And all those hand held games, the Rush series was pretty good, as well as the advance trilogy.
I just feel that way whenever I hear, "This is sega's last chance," or something similar. As for Generations... I think it will sell pretty well, just on the novelty alone.

I don't want 'em. They don't really seem to even fit these days... nor did they in the old days, really. They've always clashed horribly with some key themes and concepts in SegaSonic that I quite enjoy.
Such as?
In all honesty I don't want them in this game either. From what it seems Sonic Generations is trying to take Sonic back to it's Genesis roots. Now that's not to say I wouldn't welcome a game that incorporated SatAM characters, on the contrary I would love it. But I don't think that Generations is the game to do that. And I highly doubt such a game would come from Sega. Sega is a Japanese company and SatAM was only every popular in America at the time of release, and in later years has spread to more parts of the world. But SatAM never had the popularity in Japan that it would take to put those characters into a Sega game.
I agree with this assessment. For the Satam character to work in a Sonic game, they'd have to have their own title. The current SegaSonic universe wouldn't work.
Sad that Satam never caught on in Japan. I thought it was the most original Sonic series ever thought up.

Yea, I know Sonic technically isn't a games series about guerrilla warfare, but still, I still would like to see Sega put their feet in the water at least once of this genre and give it a shot.
What do they have to lose? If anything, I think they would gain more fans, that is assuming of course the game they produced was well made.
There's alot of Sonic fans who would love to see Satam characters in the games.

Really? I find it to be more popular then Sonic X in Japan.
Besides, Sonic really isn't popular in Japan to begin with. Most of the franchise's fans reside in America.

Here's to SatAM (or Archie) Characters having a small chance to make it into the game, HUZZAH!

Sad, but true unfortunately.
I wish I knew why Sega is so against this universe of Sonic.
What is it about this show DIC made that makes them frown and do everything they can to bury it?
It would be just for the SatAM fans if Sally or Bunnie turned up in a game. And I agree it would have to be a different game to the SegaSonic games, but (If it were to happen) Sega could collab with another developer to make an action/adventure starring Sally and/or Bunnie. Even if it were just a Marketplace/PSN release only, then Sega can at least save face, so to speak, with the main Sonic fanbase if it fails.
I'd be happy if they would even make it just an online game like Megaman Online. I mean, what could it hurt to have a trial run? If it doesn't catch on with the fans, ok, fine, but at least Sega should try once for crying out loud.
