Generations
Whats your opinion on the game? Looking forward to it, think its a bad idea, or will suffer from bad execution?

Personally, I'd like to see an "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions" concept applied to Sonic.
If many different Sonics were going to work together, apart from the classic (which I assume follows the classic games and the backstory which was developed for him in the time and which got dropped) and the new, I think SatAM Sonic deserves a part in it.
If I could choose some kind of "going through dimensions" concept, the dimensions would be:
-Modern
-Classic (again, the first Sonic Team backstory)
-SatAM
-AoStH
-Underground (it would be a pain, since it's all filler and doesn't follow the games in anything, but if I didn't care about DBGT, I won't care about SU)
-Sonic X (wouldn't it be too similar to modern Sonic)
-Archie Sonic
-Fleetway Sonic
But there'd be too many rights issues to worry about, so it will never be possible

I've never liked his modern design....it'll be neat to see what they do with this project. As Libby said...given Sega's track record it could be a major flop...but I suppose we can always hope for something good.

What I find funny is how excited most haters of the current Sonic series is just eating it up.

It isn't too bad I guess though, the worst case scenario is that I just go over to my friend's house to play it when it finally comes out provided it isn't a repeat from '06.

I wonder why Sega is keeping this game exclusive to only Xbox and PS3. I mean this game looks like it could be good so why couldn't they make it multi-platform to include the wii, or the 3DS for that matter?
Why not do what they did with Unleashed? Granted I know the wii's graphics aren't HD and blah blah blah, but I've never seen any HUGE difference between SD & HD. This is coming from someone who does own a blu-ray + 56' HDTV + sound system. Don't get me wrong, there is a difference, I just don't think it's that big to be hating on the Wii or leaving it out for a game such as this. Oh well, I have started out a little disappointed for this game just because I don't own any of the HD systems.
Its not mainly a resolution problem. The Wii itself isn't capable of the graphical power of the 360 and PS3, as the Wii originated as a family system, and not built for many high-end games. The Wii CAN go up to 480p, but that just improves the resolution, not the graphics card or processor. The 360 and PS3 can achieve 1080p, which makes the already high-end graphics more crisp and less blurry. If you remember how Sonic Unleashed went down, then things should be apparent. Because the 360 and PS3 versions of Unleashed were so visually superior they wouldn't be able to release that exact version on the Wii and PS2, so the had to completely redesign the concept for the PS2 and Wii. My guess is its the same issue with Generations, except it seems Sega has completely scrapped the idea of making two versions of the game. I don't own any next-gen console systems, and I wonder why SEGA stopped releasing Sonic games for PC. They certainly could handle whatever the PS3 or 360 does.

But oh well, at least you guys have Colors.
I actually wouldn't mind a lesser quality version of Sonic Generations for Wii, the fact that I would have at least some version would be enough to satisfy me (again, granted it does not suck). I suppose it does save Sega time to just make one copy of the game. Sega making Sonic games for the PC would be a good idea because just about everyone has a PC lying around somewhere. It would, however, have to be a higher-end PC to actually play the kinds of games being produced now, and that can be a pain in the ass buying a graphics card and more memory and such.(Personal experience right there
The only problem I had with Colors for the Wii was that it was so damn short and the story was a bit lacking. (I literally had to pace myself when I first played it, because if I hadn't, I would have been done with it in a few days.) Everything else was great though
Sega does have a Sonic game planned for the 3DS so as long as that Sonic game is worthy of Anniversary material
I've also heard of a 3rd Mario/Sonic game, but until they consider an adventure game genre here instead of Olympics, I will most likely let this title pass on by.

I do have episode 4 on my iPhone and played it a bit, which was my latest (most likely last) interaction with all things Sonic. It was decent, but not much more.
