@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Yeah, the atomic bombs were dropped to end the war without actually having to invade the Japanese mainland. Reason for that was if the Emperor told everyone to fight you would have seen every man, woman, and child rushing down to kill the enemy using whatever means they had. In order to avoid a long blood bath the choice to use the atomic bomb was made. However dropping the second one was not needed in my opinion. The Japanese were already getting ready to surrender.

Actually the war would have been over before that, however Japan wanted to keep its Emperor as part of the surrender, but America was against that. If they agreed with that then the war would have ended a few months prior.

Either way saying stuff like that in those comments is sick and wrong. As I said its (in my opinion) due to a lack of proper education on the issue (WW2, and thus Pearl Harbour) as well as just being general douches. Innocent people never deserve to be hurt. Regardless of race, culture or sex.

America seems the most infamous because they are spoon fed crap like it's God's favorite country and treats americans the best. It hasn't become a part of being loyal to their culture, it has become their culture.

Yeah well there are other countries who do and think the same things about themselves. I think the most notable difference however is power and authority over the world. As well as the lovely use of the internet. I mean I'm pretty sure those in North Korea, Iran, and other places are spoon fed that they are the best in the world and that they are right and God is on their side. Only reason why America is more common on this is they are shown off more to others.

Regardless douches are douches and its sad what happened in Japan.

It disgusts me to see comments like that! It's like Freaky said, nobody deserves the devastation that the Japanese people have faced this past week. It's a shame that people would think that. But if anyone can get through something like this, I believe it's Japan. Those are tough, headstrong people and I believe they've got what it takes to pull themselves together.

I find narrow minded responses, like the ones in the image, disturbing. I wonder if they realize that if Japan was gone, that roughly 50% of videogame development would vanish overnight. And also, the people making the comments dont look as though they were around during the Pearl Harbour attack. And that was War, not a disaster... ignorant fucks.

Just reading all that, what Shadow put up, makes me sick to my stomach. Yeah sure people remember what happened that day, but you know, that was years ago. This is now, the Japs don't deserve this

I agree with Chief, stating on how the lack of eduacation is also leading to narrow-minded responces found in that picture. What's even more annoying is that some people say they just donate to get the video game developers and manga writers back on their feet. I wouldn't give a damn about when the next Gran Turismo or Naruto comes out when the worst possible disasters just occurred over there. Yes Chief, there are douches and ignorant people all over the world, but the USA always seem to be the most infamous. Something I'm really getting tired of.

This was exactly my point. Whoever was responsible for Pearl Harbor is more than likely way way way dead now. These people weren't responsible for that, so to say they deserved this makes the person saying that a flat fucking idiot.

Half of these idiots probably can't even point to Pearl Harbor on a map, can't tell you what year it was bombed, can't tell you death tolls there, and wouldn't know how many slight warning signs were over-looked by those at Pearl Harbor to take action against that attack. They just saw it in some 3-hour Micheal Bay movie and went "oooh" at a CGI missile shot. America lost more lives overseas fighting the Germans than they did that one day in Pearl Harbor. If you're gonna get history facts from movies, at least get them from good movies. (Saving Private Ryan > Pearl Harbor)

Or, you know, actually open a history book and EDUCATE YOURSELF!

And didn't American trollers learn enough sympathy during natural disasters when Hurricane Katrina hit? I mean, that was pretty devastating, though for entirely different reasons. Or did trollers just not care because New Orleans is a heavily populated black community in the midst of racist southerners? Did we not just learn the meaning of devastation 9 years ago when people who truly hated us for no apparent reason flew planes in the World Trade Centers? Or where trollers too intent on blaming the president and federal government? I mean, seriously. What does it take to get people to care about other people?

Some people are just stupid and therefore cruel and will burn in Hell for not knowing any better. And that's how it is.
I believe in what I want to believe in, you believe in what you want to believe in, so when someone wants to believe in something, no one will know what to believe!

Wow, I used to like those commercials. What a jerk, there's a difference when you joke about something friendly and non offensive, and something that IS offensive. Most comedians aren't even that funny, they should just keep their mouths shut sometimes...

Comedians are encouraged to be assholes and push the envelope. To be more shocking and grab the audiences attention.
But I never liked Gilbert. Mostly because of his screechy voice.
And for the pic I posted, mostly what can be said has been said already. Americans have been shown to be a very angry bitter lot who do not forgive any past racism done to them that they will give back ten fold. They hate pretty much all non white conformists.
Eastern - terrorists,
Mexican/south american - dirty immigrants,
Black - niggers,
French - snooty cowards,
Asian - murderers

Don't forget how Asians are dirty Chinks, cat eaters, gold diggers, can't speak English and are terrorists. Yeah, I heard all that back in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, minus the terrorist comment. ;) And I'm not even Chinese at that.

But, you know, what goes around comes around. One of the kids who used to say shit like that to me was on a bus one day and said how all "Spics and niggers" are worthless. On a bus full of Hispanics and black kids. Can you imagine the curb stopping that followed him getting off the bus? ;) One of the other kids had his throat slit in the penitentiary. At age 19. Karma is sweet.

God help any fool who goes out into the common public saying things like that. God fuckin help you.

It's nothing remotely new with Gottfried. He made this joke three weeks after 9/11: he was late, he wanted a direct flight, but they said they have to connect with the Empire State Building first.

Amusing anecdote: when he got fired, I looked him up in Wikipedia and I'd misspelled his name as "Gilbert Gottfired".
