When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

First up go here its the newest update for the Sonic Fan Film. A Q&A session with Eddie.

So we are looking for a artist. . . Again. No, Saber didn't quit on us, we are just looking for artists to do our shorts. We aren't looking for someone instantly, we have a artist for the next short however we will need more afterwords. So I figure hey, lets start getting peoples applications now.
I would personally just like to steadily receive peoples art work and submissions for Sea3on, that way we get to track down the best, put a note on them and call them when we have a spot open. So even if it doesn't seem like we need a artist, apply anyways, send in your work.

We are also looking for a writer to write our shorts. We have 2 shorts written by the same guy who did the last 2 that are still to be released, then 1 more by another fellow. But after that looks like we need a artist. The short might not be out for a year or so but we like to get everything well in advance.
So if you think you have what it takes to write a Sea3on short send my some of your work. Perferably something written in a script format. I don't really want to see too many fanfics. You need to know how to write a script.

Anyways send all your applications to Paul@SonicSatAM.com. Chances are I will just be forwarding everything to John involving the shorts (as he is going to be the one fully in-charge of those) but for now just send everything to me and I'll get them to him.

Just wondering about the writing job.

Can the script include any Sonic canon character, or only ones that are part of the Satam universe?

I think I know the answer to this one, but I'd like to know just to be sure.

SatAM universe. These are shorts for the Sea3on comic.

Ok, thanks for that info.

Just a couple more questions

Can the Satam characters and villains in the script use weapons like guns and bombs to fight, or does they have to stick to what the cartoon used in terms of war?

Secondly, what is the max pages a Satam script can be?

It has to stick to the general SatAM story. The shorts are mainly just small bits following certain characters. Nothing real major goes on in the shorts involving the FF's fight against Snivley and so on. So the shorts can't contain stuff that will interfere with the main chapters. They are just simply small side stories. It has to be all SatAM related stuff.

They are also 10 pages long. No more, and no less. Reason for this is because we only put a 5 week gap between chapters.

As the Shorts are based in the Sea3on universe, and in turn exist in the established SatAM universe, the characters and stories must be within that continuity. So, out of character actions like Sally rampaging against Swat-Bots with an RPG-7 would most probably get the thumbs down by me (I oversee all Short Scripts). wink.gif

All Short scripts follow a ten page story.

[EDIT] That mongrel Chief beat me to it. Just who does he think he is?!

I should really just let you deal with it from here on out. You do the shorts so I don't have to micro manage everything and burn myself out like I have been. Its just hard to stop micro managing stuff once you start haha.

Anyways John has the floor. The shorts are his. If you want to email in your work you can still email it to me, Paul@sonicsatam.com. I'll pass everything onto him.

Yes, I'll take care of it all from here. I might even run through some story spec ideas and pass that onto a writer to script it out - if we find a competent writer. As always with Sea3on staff, it's a paying gig!

Nope. As was seen for Short #1, a grey scale B&W format is a-okay - unless you suck.

I would try out for the writer application, but I don't have the kind of time I once did when I wrote my entry for the Christmas Contest. I took my time on that, but I can't afford to do that this time because of my class this semester. If another chance pops up in the summer, I might give it a shot. I actually have an idea.
