@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I found this website while looking for Satam episodes to watch. I eventually came across a forum that was going on about the Amy/Sonic relationship versus Sally/Sonic. I saw someone's signature that had the FUS logo and a link to this website, I quickly realized that this was where I wanted to be, not that silly forum that was constantly being flooded by those Amy lovers, who seemed to hate us Satam lovers.

I was just looking up Sonic in general, switched to looking up SatAM and got linked here. Visited the site for about a week and then joined.

That's pretty much what i did: GOOOOOOOOGLE!

In... what, June? I rediscovered SatAM and got completely, totally, utterly, no-returns-possible obsessed with Sonic in general but primarily the SatAm continuity. I started obsessively looking up sites dealing with the Blue Blur and gave special attention to the ones that gave Sally favorable mentions, avoiding SonAmy sites like the plague. I did a lot of image searches and those led me to the clips here. I bookmarked the site, and then went off and obsessed over the deviantart people for a while (Baz - Tazia Hall - is my hero).

Then, as i was wandering around on the 'nets one night, reading random stuff on the various sites i'd bookmarked (namely here and SMS... same night) i discovered Eddie LeBron's fanfilm. Stuck around to get more info, joined. It's all Eddie's fault! That's all i have to say!
Remember, kids: What happens in Archie Comics, stays in Archie Comics.

I honestly don't know for sure, but I think I was just searching for Satam-related stuff. At the time I don't think I knew that it was referred to Satam, so I probably didn't happen across this site immediately.

Like most of you, I came across FUS while looking for SatAM episodes online. I dont even remember what prompted me to look for SatAM stuff but I just did and I came across this site, about 4yrs ago, just before they released the entire series on DVD. I was upset that I didnt find this site years ago. But I was amazed at how popular it was. I was so dumbfounded, I thought I was one of few ppl that loved SatAM as a kid. Actually, I didnt even know it was called "SatAM Sonic". I just remember it as the Sonic cartoon that came on saturday morning which was so much better than AoSTH (even though I loved that one too).

There was some fake trailer by a guy who makes a bunch of fake trailers that I watched. I'm going to assume he's a member here, since he linked to this site.

Our FUS Youtube account has a bunch of 'fake' SatAM trailers on it, if that's what you are referring to.

I can't exactly remember what happened 10 years ago which brought me to this place, so I'll try and come up with the most interesting way possible, filled with booze and porn as far as the eye can see! *Interesting way not guaranteed*

Actually, it was around 2000 and a friend of mine had bought a Dreamcast (I was waiting for the PS2 at this point) and he had Sonic Adventure for it. Now I had been a Sega boy back in the day, owning a Mega Drive/Genesis and a Game Gear and pretty much every Sonic title for both systems, but I never got a Saturn, I ended up getting a PS1. So my love of Sonic kind of faded away aound 1996, especially since I stopped reading the UK Sonic comic at this point too.

But anyway, I'd go around to his place to play on the Dreamcast and it'd usually be Sonic Adventure he'd be playing. So we'd play that game and one day he brought up the old Sonic toons and asked if I use to watch 'it'. When I say 'it, it's because the only one he remembered was AoStH. While SatAM did play over here, it didn't play as often, it played early Sunday mornings on one channel, while another aired it with the AoStH opening! So I mentioned "The really good one" (since I didn't know it was called SatAM at this point) and he thought I was mad, mentioning characters like Princess Sally and the likes. So, we got on the net, had a look around and found a site which covered all the Sonic toons at that point. My friend had never seen SatAM before so he went through all the trouble of buying the then out-of-print VHS tapes from the States to sample the show. When they arrived, we watched them and that resparked my interest in Sonic mostly, so I'd then be at home looking up info on the show and eventually found FUS around early 2001.

And thus, I turned into the sad pathetic wanker I am today.

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

As for me, i was trying to find a download link for Sonic Epoch (A SatAM fan game where Tails cusses like a sailor and other freaky stuff...) because I saw Arclad84's walkthrough on Youtube, and i thought "Hey, this looks like a fun game." So i looked for it for about two years. It was practically IMPOSSIBLE to find. Then about a month ago, i found a link to the "Video Games" section of the home page here, on FUS. It had Sonic Nebulous and Sonic Epoch. I LITERALLY screamed in joy for finding it.
After i beat the game, i decided to go have a closer look at FUS. I found out that this place has a forum. Now this is my VERY FIRST forum i've EVER been on. But before i joined, i went to the live chat, and I met Chief, Morgan, CheezMatt, and Bakuda, along with other people who's names have escaped my mind. After that, I KNEW that this was the perfect place to spend time online. Why? Because no one i know in my town likes Sonic as much as me, I can't talk about the comics or shows without someone saying, "What the hell are you talking about?", AND i can express my ideas about Sonic through this community.

In short, i was looking for a game, i found it, and then i went back, just to find kind people that welcome me to the site. That's my story.

Strange, this topic seemed to escape me for about 3 months. Whatever.

I was searching for Sonic Comics online and saw a link for Sea3on. I clicked it and read everything up to the current present. I went back each week for 6 months, when I finally decided to search the sight. I made an account that day, and have been torturing you guys since.

I was searching for the Sonic comics online, and just like Ther2view I found the Sea3on comics. That lead me to lurking on the site off and on for about a year or so before finally joining the other day.

I remember the first time I joined the site, back in around mid 2000...

... I couldn't log on, and asked for some help. The mod was a bit of a douche, and I stayed away... Well, GUESS WHO'S A MOD NOW! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously though, first time visiting, I didn't like the attitude that guy had, and I went to SMS. Years later... around 2009 or 10, FUS had a major overhaul, and I checked it out once more, and I've been dwelling here ever since.
