That's pretty much what i did: GOOOOOOOOGLE!
In... what, June? I rediscovered SatAM and got completely, totally, utterly, no-returns-possible obsessed with Sonic in general but primarily the SatAm continuity. I started obsessively looking up sites dealing with the Blue Blur and gave special attention to the ones that gave Sally favorable mentions, avoiding SonAmy sites like the plague. I did a lot of image searches and those led me to the clips here. I bookmarked the site, and then went off and obsessed over the deviantart people for a while (Baz - Tazia Hall - is my hero).
Then, as i was wandering around on the 'nets one night, reading random stuff on the various sites i'd bookmarked (namely here and SMS... same night) i discovered Eddie LeBron's fanfilm. Stuck around to get more info, joined. It's all Eddie's fault! That's all i have to say!

Actually, it was around 2000 and a friend of mine had bought a Dreamcast (I was waiting for the PS2 at this point) and he had Sonic Adventure for it. Now I had been a Sega boy back in the day, owning a Mega Drive/Genesis and a Game Gear and pretty much every Sonic title for both systems, but I never got a Saturn, I ended up getting a PS1. So my love of Sonic kind of faded away aound 1996, especially since I stopped reading the UK Sonic comic at this point too.
But anyway, I'd go around to his place to play on the Dreamcast and it'd usually be Sonic Adventure he'd be playing. So we'd play that game and one day he brought up the old Sonic toons and asked if I use to watch 'it'. When I say 'it, it's because the only one he remembered was AoStH. While SatAM did play over here, it didn't play as often, it played early Sunday mornings on one channel, while another aired it with the AoStH opening! So I mentioned "The really good one" (since I didn't know it was called SatAM at this point) and he thought I was mad, mentioning characters like Princess Sally and the likes. So, we got on the net, had a look around and found a site which covered all the Sonic toons at that point. My friend had never seen SatAM before so he went through all the trouble of buying the then out-of-print VHS tapes from the States to sample the show. When they arrived, we watched them and that resparked my interest in Sonic mostly, so I'd then be at home looking up info on the show and eventually found FUS around early 2001.
And thus, I turned into the sad pathetic wanker I am today.
"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

After i beat the game, i decided to go have a closer look at FUS. I found out that this place has a forum. Now this is my VERY FIRST forum i've EVER been on. But before i joined, i went to the live chat, and I met Chief, Morgan, CheezMatt, and Bakuda, along with other people who's names have escaped my mind. After that, I KNEW that this was the perfect place to spend time online. Why? Because no one i know in my town likes Sonic as much as me, I can't talk about the comics or shows without someone saying, "What the hell are you talking about?", AND i can express my ideas about Sonic through this community.
In short, i was looking for a game, i found it, and then i went back, just to find kind people that welcome me to the site. That's my story.

I was searching for Sonic Comics online and saw a link for Sea3on. I clicked it and read everything up to the current present. I went back each week for 6 months, when I finally decided to search the sight. I made an account that day, and have been torturing you guys since.

... I couldn't log on, and asked for some help. The mod was a bit of a douche, and I stayed away... Well, GUESS WHO'S A MOD NOW! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Seriously though, first time visiting, I didn't like the attitude that guy had, and I went to SMS. Years later... around 2009 or 10, FUS had a major overhaul, and I checked it out once more, and I've been dwelling here ever since.
