That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

This pic is a couple of years old. I'm not sure when it was; I'm thinking 2009, since I think I made this picture when we released Tangrams for DS and they needed to know what I look like. (One of our artists drew cartoons of us for the credits.) The "modified" timestamp for the image says 1/1/2002. I know that's wrong because I didn't even have that computer until 2006! (Also, I was probably rather more pimply then...)

I shave my hair once a year rather than getting normal haircuts (something I started doing in 2010, I think), and I just shave off the beard whenever it gets long enough to annoy me. I'm lazy like that. Also, the haircut thing saves money (no need to pay a barber), and besides, I like my hair short, and I like my hair long. This way I get to have it both ways. :3

*waits for Tessa to respond, "Wait, THIS is the guy I've been flirting with?"*

That's appropriate, since I started learning programming (on a toy computer, but the principles are the same) when I was something like ten years old...

That is generally how one gets a job making games, yes. ;)

Then again, with the kind of people I had to work with, I'm not so sure. Lots of stories there I could tell (though of course I shouldn't; non-disclosure agreements and all...)

Valve would probably be an OK place for me to work. I made Hands On! Tangrams with Island Officials, but I haven't been doing anything with them lately. I definitely prefer being independent... I come up with all kinds of crazy game ideas that I'd never be able to bring to fruition in a conventional game company.

On the other hand, I need to start putting food on the table, and being independent isn't doing that. It's hard just to get motivated to make something and see it through to the end, because I always get another idea I want to pursue...

It should be coming around again soon. I need to find a team to stick with. It might be the Flyers, considering my bro's gf is obsessed with hockey and that team.
