@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Parasites will take over her brain and will succeed in world domination.

Sally would begin acting strangely. More emotional, less restrained. She would begin to act on impulses that she would normally repress, all the while getting faster and stronger, but also more agressive and less patient. The others would, in time, grow worried, wondering what happened to her, only for her to go berserk one day and try to kill Bunnie, who would find herself surprisingly evenly-matched with the Princess despite her robotic limbs. Rotor would tranq her and take her to his lab for study, discovering the parasite and learning that it was a bizarre form of symbiote which fed off the adrenaline levels of its host, pumping their system full of a powerful chemical that increased adrenaline production but also heightened agression, and would eventually burn out the host body within a few days.

Naturally, the team would try to extract the parasite, but before the operation could be performed, Sally would wake up and escape, knocking Sonic out cold and fleeing Knothole, no longer in her right mind at all. In her delusion (and increasing sickness, the parasite's effects on her body gradually becoming more and more toxic), she would go to Robotropolis, where Robotnik (assuming this takes place pre-"Doomsday") would spot her and take her prisoner. Though he initially plans to Roboticize her, Sally's erratic behavior leads Robotnik to analyze her more closely, discovering the parasite in her body. Believing the organism might be useful to him, he decides to study it-and Sally-extensively. And then he plans to Roboticize her.

Sonic (having just woken up) and the others, meanwhile, have mounted a rescue mission. Rotor's research indicates they have less than six hours before the parasite burns out Sally's body, so the walrus brings an on-the-spot surgery kit with him and the others to Robotropolis, where they track Sally down to a lab of Robotnik's. Sonic busts in and, after a good fight, gets Sally out of the lab, but SWATBots are in hot pursuit. He and the team are forced to go underground to the sewer system to safely operate on Sally and remove the parasite in time, of which there is little left. It is tense, and looks like it might not succeed, but in the end the parasite is extracted safely from Sally. It makes a go to enter Rotor's system, but Sonic kills it before it can succeed.

Sally, unconscious, is taken back with the others to Knothole. She wakes up, remembering only bits and pieces of the last few days, and apologizes for her rash behavior. The others are all just thankful to have her back safe 'n' sound.

The End.

Um. She'd, I dunno, rub her rear on the floor like every time my dog gets worms.

I mean, what kind of alien parasites are these?

She wouldn't, because she only likes terrestrial parasites.

Honestly? Don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but I just sorta tossed that together on the fly; took five minutes to type up, tops, and even less to think of.

Also...

It really depends on the nature of the parasite. It could just live in her digestive system like a tapeworm, or go all chestbuster like the Xenomorphs.

Also, some may consider beings similar to the Thing as parasitic. In that particular case, see my signature pic. It may, however spell doom for Robotnik. Given the possibility of gaining advanced technological knowledge through assimilation, the "infected" mobians would be able to de-roboticize and assimilate all of those who were captured and roboticized. The end result would be the entire ecosystem of Mobius becoming a singular being and either splitting apart and heading into space, or luring alien species to Mobius and assimilating them and sending them back to their home worlds, to repeat the process.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...

Entire world population infected 2,7000 hours from first contact.
