I dont plan on going too extreme, about as dark as maybe Batman Begins/Dark Knight at worst? Though I do plan on using a lot of Mobian Villains, such as Geoffrey, Nack, Naugus. My Shadow will be a total evil bastard too, due to Marias fate as usual, so he will be misguided evil as i call it. I also plan for him to stay dead too unlike the games lol

I wonder what Max was asking Geoffrey about too but like you said... to many unanswered questions.

Wow, sounds like a very interesting series you got cooked up.

Ironically, your portrayal of Shadow is very similar to the one I mentioned from before.

Me personally, I like to think Shadow as someone who's very misunderstood, as well as loyal to the ones he loved, such as Maria. He tries to avenge her wronful death, that is until he realizes later on what Maria really wanted him to do, which was to be a hero for the people of the planet. Thus, he honors his promise to her, becoming one of the Freedom Fighters.

I have no idea, but I know it wasn't anything good. That vile Max is completely up to no good. Though I do wonder, why is he doing this at all? Isn't the kingdom in enough turmoil already?

Man, whoever thought it would be wise to make Sally's Dad an evil monster instead of a sweet father like in Satam really is twisted. What's next, they going to make her Mom and brother conspire behind Sally's back too?

I think Elias is too good natured to turn evil, the mother, I dont know but I doubt it. Though Max has always been a bit off on the comics. Though I bet Tim Curry would be proud lol

Her mother is nice enough that she wouldn't turn evil, and she couldn't do anything like that anyway. Max's 'evil' mostly comes from being old and being driven to crazy like three times, so he can't entirely be blamed, but he's still a huge danger with the power he still has and is trying to regain. The man's traditionalism is pretty messed up, but all things considered, it's still better than keeping him as a saint like in SataM. That works while he's captured, but if it were to stay the same afterwards, it'd be pretty boring.

I don't believe her Mom and brother ever will turn on Sally, but I just mentioned that crazy scenario because the idea of her father working against her behind the scenes is just downright revolting IMO.

Anyway, I really don't see what was so bad about King Max being a sweet father in Satam. In fact, I found her and Sally's relationship very touching. It showed precious moments of their love for each other as Dad and daughter. Is it a bit boring? Perhaps, but I'd prefer him to sweet and boring anyday, rather than conniving and manipultive.

Sally has enough crap in her life to deal with already.

Anyway, I really don't see what was so bad about King Max being a sweet father in Satam. In fact, I found her and Sally's relationship very touching. It showed precious moments of their love for each other as Dad and daughter. Is it a bit boring? Perhaps, but I'd prefer him to sweet and boring anyday, rather than conniving and manipultive.

I just said it works for SataM. When he's gone and a goal, it works, but when he's around and the leading authority on everything ever, he has to have conflict or he becomes entirely redundant, boring and sappy. I may not like everything from the middle era, but turning Max into more of a traditionalist grump pretty much saved the character from worthlessness.

Ok, I'll agree with you that he should have conflict as king, but with his own son and daughter to the point of plotting against them? Uh uh, that's a line that should never have been crossed.

I'm all for having him being a valuable comic character, but not in a way that makes him being remembered more as a monster than as a troubled ruler.

Not bad for the first draft. It has alot of promise.

What is the Project Shadow formula exactly?

Agreed. I mean, I could see the idea of him trusting Julian for example as a questionable thing to do.

Project Shadow is pretty much a rip off of most "Super Soldier" stories... yes unoriginal. And Shadow himself is the prototype who may still be sealed away in the Ark. Im hinting to Uncle Chuck testing a more stable form of it on Sonic as an infant, leading to his speed. Shadow himself however is going to be a drastic change on my version (His speed is natural, super strength, teleportation and mentally unstable to boot, that old chestnut. Though Maria's death will still trigger his destruction spree, as usual) But hes a long way off. I hope anyone who does read it realises its a not really based off SatAM, due to changes in some character origins, some minor, some major.
I'm also writing ways to make my take on Nack work too, so just bear with me while I get it together.

Ok... my continuity is not dead, I just completed Volume 1... Its in 3 parts and may consider continuing it later in a couple of months... Consider this my idea for a new show.

So how many chapters do you have up?

The entire Volume one is in 3 parts, with 3 short chapters each, but 4 in the 3rd part... After reading it through I believe I rushed the 2nd part... but took a litlle more time with the 3rd. And it has turned out a lot more different than what my plan up above said it would be, though it remains my own spin on things mixing both SatAM and Archie and making it a little more adult orientated (some strong language, and a bit violent at parts, a lotta characters arent going to see the end.)
The action involving Sonic is also short and fast, what I asume a fight with him would be...

Oh, I couldnt do SatAM justice lol, though it is obvious that it was my main inspiration and I crammed as many "cameos" so to speak as I could in reference form, like the guy on the intercom at the Chaotix HQ being called Ray, abandoned rig called Nimbus Island, etc...
I do feel I have deviated away and made a few changes that some Sonic fans might have lynched me for like Bunnies origin and making Maria Robotniks daughter instead and Antoine not being cowardly (Or french for that matter, but I cant type the accent and take it seriously in my defence), but I hope people like my continuity
