Well before; the script for this issue was finished before I even knew "Friendship is Magic" existed. X3Gojira, did you write this dialogue before or after you saw "Look Before You Sleep"?
"To grasp happiness!"
"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."
"HA!"
"LOVE LOVE TENKYOKEN!!!"

That's because Gojira is a hack writer. How did the freedom fighters not notice a device of this size being built until it was approximately 12 hours from full operation? They're not the most observant lot

Nice work. Just one question. Any chance that we might see NICOLE's hologrim lynx form from the comics?
While I don't have any input into the story itself (unless Gorjira lets me help out or something in the future), I would assume not... Seeing as this comic is staying away from the archie series... Or even the game series. It's a guess, but most likely no hologram lynx.
No Julie-Sue.
No Nate.
No Scourge.
No Rouge.
No Big.
No Amy.
No Tommy Turtle.
... Unless Gorjira wants to add them... and we all know the story needs some Big the Cat.
Also, I know you guys are probably sick and tired of it... but my art style is going to have one more change. Yeah, didn't see that coming... but I talked with Bakuda, and I think I figured out a way to get the characters to stay on freaking model.
Simply put, I'm going to try extra hard to give the characters their cartoon designs thanks to some cheat sheets and character model sheets. For the past few months, I had been drawing mainly from my head. It's great for creating characters, but if it means their going to change every eight panels, then it's best to have a model sheet on hand until you know how to get the characters down line for line.
Hope you guys like what I have to offer

Normally, I try not to be That Guy, but I do feel compelled to point out that we established last issue that the team has been pretty shy about going back into the city now that they know Naugus is on the watch, and Rotor 'n' Bunnie's recon in this issue occurs some time after the events of last issue, where the tower was already under construction. So there.
My memory span is roughly 2 days. This is the part where you add footnotes saying "hey gaiz refer to the last issue LOL".

I'm glad those model sheets came in handy for you...it'll be nice to see the characters more true to their SatAM form!
Yes.... before I steal saber's job LOL >=D

Modelsheets are great. I love them. Worship them. It's the details that make a character appear on character and I found myself forgetting them. Doesn't sound like much, but even something small as the wrong curve on an eartip can make a character look off.
On art stuff - I like what I'm seeing. Especially your sally, she's so expressive in your style.
Your weakpoint seems to be the colouring, but, well, welcome to the club. Colouring sucks.
So yeah, thumbs up from me.

Model sheets as in making them look just like SatAM? Cuz... I kind of like a slighty non-SatAM style...
Afraid so... its just easier for me... though, I may experiment with my own designs of the characters outside of the comic.
And yes. Colors. Shades. It's not something I do much.

The shading in the latest page does look pretty decent though, so no need to put your light under a sheffel. And yes. Colors. Shades. It's not something I do much.
One thing *I*'d change is to use a colour to tint the shadows, a dark, low saturation purple or blue for example. Right now you seem to just darken the colour by adding gray; and gray (just like pure white and black) tends to suck the life out of colours.
I do like the sharp shadows a lot, though, they fit well to your lineart.
And well, you'll get enough practice while doing this comic.

Actually... I did try that out some time a go before I got the job to do the comic. I saw a video of an artist giving the same advice. I'll try it out here and see if I can get it to look nice. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, "Don't use gray/white/black!" is a pretty common advice - simple because if you use any shade of gray to darken/lighten a colour, you're not just changing the base-colours brightness, but you're also lowering it's saturation, which is most of the time a Bad ThingTM. Uneven or uncontrolled saturation makes even the best chosen hues look muddy and splotchy.
Hence artists everywhere discouraging that practice.
Hehehehehe. Best artist temper tantrum I've ever witnessed was when I was using pure black in an illustration. That was LEGENDARY. A twenty minute lecture about colour theory.
Mind you, my teacher was right - after I switched to a deep purple, the picture looked much better.
Do you have the shadows on a seperate layer or are you using the "eyeball shadow colour and colour it in" method? Just curious - both work very well.

Thank you for being a good sport about it.

Hey, I'm still learning and any and all advice is more then welcome
Ah, yeah. I use layers for shadows because I'm used to screwing up and I always want to go back and fix it. Yeah, I've been experimenting with the dark color shading... it's coming along pretty nicely... now I have to consider using soft shading again.

I like your art style alot. It fits very well with the Satam Sonic series.
Anyway, just wondering, do you know who came with the idea for the Chaos Eye?
It looks like a really brilliant device.
