Oh great, I guess Sonic and Sally are supposed to be in a 'relationship' again. How long will this last, 4-5 more issues? I dunno, Its guess the premise is mediocre enough.

The cover makes me wish for the days when the art wasn't so anime-ized. Sheesh. Sally's hair is so rigid it looks like Sonic's spikes.

Story sounds boring. It's either romantic swill or manfights nowdays. Though if they want to do a romantic backstory of Lien-Da dominating Snively with her whip I'll just...er...suffer through it. Yeah.

I understand Ian Flynn's dilemma here. You got whiny Amy-fangirls on one side and whiny Sally-fangirls on the other, so I wouldn't expect too much in terms of "romance". If you want to see anything more then Sally being carried in Sonic's arms, it most likely isn't going to happen.

I think Nicole's got a new design in the preview, which did look kinda cute. But there seemed to be an apalling voice in the air screaming of some kind of purple-haired mongoose-creature... be warned.

Oh, that preview was for the issue before this. It's actually a very interesting issue!

This one... doesn't look so great. The James Fry issue of the Iron Dominion saga was possibly worse than The Darkest Storm, and the timing couldn't be worse. We've got Geoffrey betraying the kingdom, Mina rebelling against NICOLE, Naugus coming back, Eggman has BIG plans... and this is when we decide to take a break for shipping? COME ON. Why couldn't this be during the lull of the pseudo-World Tour 2?

I don't follow the comics but I must say...I love the look of Amy's face on this cover...priceless!!!

I admit I probably come across as whiney when it comes to Sonic and Sally. I can't think of anything else to do to try to change the situation, and dealing with fans of other pairings and people who defend Sega on this is fustrating. I am hoping that Sonic and Sally do get back together in this issue, and Sega and Archie better surprise us and make this perament. I don't want to go through another break up.

Anybody read the Mina Mongoose vs Sally for Sonic's affection arc?

That's the problem they face now, they have to many fans on both sides of an issue and they don't want to alienate any of them. So until the comic dies, Sally and Sonic's Relationship will bounce off and on, same with any other potential Sonic Girlfriends.

Mina is really annoying. Really, really annoying. She's almost a Amy clone, constantly chasing after Sonic, learning his abilities and trying to impress. Do we really need two fangirl characters in one comic?

I for one hope Sonic and Sally mend their relationship. It's been what, 6 years since the slap? I didn't even realized how serious the slap was because Dub's art is one you couldn't take seriously :/

If people want a shipping other than SonSal, they can go back to fanfics/fanart.

Mina does not persue Sonic anymore...

I read that arc Red, I felt a little sorry for Mina on the final frame of that story when she says "I'll get over it". But it was not rushed like Amy who automaticly liked Sonic, The Mina arc shown Mina develop her feelings for Sonic and went for quite a few issues. Not particularly a fan of couples, but if the story and build up to it is good, then I'll probably enjoy it. If SonSal is a definate though... Then why not make it an open ending for the series if the comic ends?

I couldn't agree more. They just had to get the worst artist for one of the most important issues, right? I guess the art wasn't horrible, but It was hard to take the issue seriously because they all looked so cartoony. @_@

What really sucks about it is that story could have been good. Instead we just got Sally acting completely out of character for no apparent reason. If Sonic really was being foolish and pushing Sally beyond her limits, it could have been a powerful moment. Instead, she just comes across as a self-entitled whiny bitch. Why, yes, Sonic, how dare you be a hero and be there when the country needs you! Sheesh, and she calls him selfish.

I didn't even know it happened at all until I saw it mentioned in someone's dA comments almost 2 years ago. I thought it was a recent breakup until I later found out it happened in #134. I was like wtf I read that six years ago as soon as I got it in the mail @_@

I love Dub's art, I just felt it was inappropriate for the majority of the stories, most particularly the one where the mass Echidna/dingo/whatever genocide going on.

When I saw Dubs being credited as one of the artists for #222.... Yeah.

Archie Comics was actually considering making Mina Sonic's main love interest, but more Sally fans spoke up against it. However after the comic they were bombarded by upset Mina fans. Since then they have been really careful who get's Sonic's attention. Because they are going to lose no matter what they choose.

There was a very small hint when Ash nearly dies in Minas attempted assasination after Sonics return, when he sees that Mina is over him and he walks away looking like he just lost a million. But nothing else came of it after that.
