This is going to sound weird... but here it goes:

For most of you MLP: Friendship is Magic fans out there, I'm looking for some songwriters for my fan fiction movie script.


It's a story based on this special classic: Rescue at Midnight Castle. It'll be a like a FiM remake style. And yes, the character Megan will be in it. But, she'll turn into a pony in Ponyworld / Equestria.

Also, just want to let you guys know there is going to be some changes on my fan fiction movie script... Like: Megan will turn into a pony in ponyworld as I said before. Twilight has wings now after the new episode just air yesterday. And some other stuff I'm doing on my fanfic script...


Anyway, I'm looking for some songwriters that can help me on most of the musical scenes, like the opening of my story.

There's an opening scene when the sun rises up and it's morning time. And all the characters in ponyvile, including the main ones are singing about morning time.


And another one about Twilight and her friends welcome Megan (A Pony Version), also including Apple Bloom and her three friends. I have a song title call "Welcome to Ponyville" tells all about the town and the history about Equestria you know...


Also, I'l try to send my fanfic movie script maybe sometime in the future... so if most of you guys would like to help with me... think about it. If so, then I will put your name on the "Special Thanks List" on my script for helping me on this story.

If some of you dislke my fan project, then don't say anything on here.

Thoughts on Princess Twilight Sparkle Parts 1 and 2:

Solid season premiere. There wasn't anything particularly outstanding about it, but it didn't have any significant flaws either. It was fairly slow-paced, to the point that I feared the conclusion would be rushed, but the resolution felt fine. I was concerned that the writers would have Discord go back on his reformation, but his characterization wound up being the highlight of the two episodes.

The plants might be the least memorable antagonists on the show, but their use was a good decision on the part of the writers, as they served as an antagonist that created conflict but didn't require a significant amount of development time, allowing focus to be spent elsewhere. Attempting this with an actual character can easily be underwhelming, as with Sombra, but it works well with an unintelligent force. Tying the plants back to Discord without the modern, reformed version actually being at fault was a nice touch.

I'll admit to being slightly disappointed at the lack of any songs, but it's likely for the best. It sounds like there will be quite a few throughout the season, and I'd rather the writers not feel obligated to include them solely for the sake of doing so.

The chest with the six keys seems like a safe but fairly effective way of setting up a loose arc throughout the season that will still allow each individual member of the Mane Six to shine. Hopefully they'll drop a few hints here and there about the chest to build up hype.

I actually squeezed in time to watch the new episodes. I felt they were stale, which is very sad, but I am going to continue looking at the rest of the season anyway. I never usually enjoy the opening season episodes. I just want to see where they go from here.

 

I have to agree VHS, Discord annoyed the fudge outta me the entire time. The storyline didn't have any structure either. Sad indeed.

Thoughts on Castle-Mania:

That was a pretty fun episode overall, a solid first effort from the new writer. I'll admit to not seeing the twist at the end coming, but I wasn't trying to predict who it was either. The pacing between the three different groups was well done, with the character interactions keeping things from becoming repetitive. It was nice to see the show place focus on Rarity's love for art as a whole, reemphasizing that she's driven by artistic inspiration rather than a superficial love of fashion.

My only issue with the episode was Twilight's characterization at the end. While her nerdy obliviousness for the first part of the episode was enjoyable, as soon as she discovered her friends she came across as being "above it all", to the point of being slightly patronizing during the lesson. Having her become scared at some point would have helped. As it is, such scenes aren't doing her any favors in regard to the Mary Sue debate. I like Twilight, but the series definitely needs to give her a backseat role for several episodes.

The diaries sound like a nice substitute for the letters, though it won't quite be the same. "Dear Princess Celestia" became a nice iconic phrase unique to the show, one that worked well as a motif. "Dear diary", by contrast, is quite generic. A minor issue, to be sure, but a notable one nonetheless.

I've never had an issue with Discord before now. When he is being a jerk, his jerkiness is more tasteful in the older episodes.

I will agree with you about Princess Twilight, but I disagree about the ending, unless it is taken from a child's standpoint. Even so, I feel the quality of story is downhill. Fluttershy was even too overdramatic even for herself. So was Rarity. All the characters are being stretched, not just Twilight.

Thoughts on Daring Don't:

Meh. Despite it being one of the most controversial episodes of the series, I don't have much of a strong opinion on this one. Dashie's characterization was nice, but that's counterbalanced by the premise of Daring Do being real feeling more than a little contrived. Everything else was...okay?
 
The not so subtle jab at obsessive fandoms seen in the duel of the nerds between Twilight and Rainbow was humorous, though it dragged a bit longer than it needed to. The adventure elements themselves were only mildly entertaining. I enjoyed them more in Read it and Weep, where they could be over the top without troubling my suspension of disbelief. Throwing Daring Do and company into the actual narrative raises far too many questions that the writer doesn't bother to answer.

This was one of those episodes where including all of the Mane 6 felt unnecessary. If a character is going to be in an episode, the writers should at least attempt to give him or her a standout moment. Fluttershy got the opening bit and Pinkie had the rather clever red paint gag, but AJ and Rarity were pretty much relegated to background status with 2-3 lines each. Heck, during the climax Rarity wasn't even given the two seconds to shine everyone else had.
 
Not a bad episode, but it's hard for me to get past the central premise and just have fun with it. The upcoming Power Ponies episode looks like it's going with the premise of the characters getting sucked into a fictional work, which I'm more willing to roll with than the presumably fictional elements being real all along. Hopefully that episode will turn out better.

Thoughts on Flight to the Finish:

This handily trumps Princess Twilight Sparkle as my favorite episode of the season so far. It also rivals Sleepless in Ponyville as the best CMC episode to date.
 
It tackled a very tricky subject in Scootaloo's handicap and actually pulled it off very well. I was worried that the show would take the easy way out and let her fly at the end, but thankfully they went with the more mature and realistic route instead.
 
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were already my most hated characters in the series pretty much by default, but this episode takes them to a sickening new low. Hopefully they'll soon get what they have coming to them. I liked how the writer poked fun at their one-dimensionality by having them briefly be flustered once their single, tired insult finally stopped getting under the skin of the CMCs.  
 
The CMCs themselves are nicely coming into their own at last. Even once I warmed up to the show in general, I still hated the trio and their episodes for some time. I still consider many of their appearances in the first two seasons to be among the worst points of the show. Now that they're no longer in full crusader mode 24/7, however, they're rather likable. That said, only Scootaloo has much in the way of interesting characterization (ironic, since for the first two seasons she felt like the third wheel of the group) and none of them are on the level of any of the Mane 6...yet. I can see Scootaloo topping AJ in my rankings if she keeps this up.
 
The CMCs are starting to sound a bit older as the actresses age, but I'm fine with the change. It parallels their increasing maturity as characters. Hopefully their designs will be tweaked at some point to show them getting a bit older.
 
Looking back on the overall episode, there wasn't all that much humor, but it made up for it with heart and remained engaging throughout. The song wasn't one of the show's best, but I still enjoyed it. It was cute, catchy, and made for a touching reprise. Though it does beg the question as to how horses fit into the show's world...

Thoughts on Power Ponies:

This episode was pretty much exactly what I expected. A safe parody that had a few good gags and didn't do anything poorly, yet failed to stand out in any meaningful way other than being a decent Spike episode (though I'm sure FlutterHulk will be all over the Internet within hours). I liked it, but it doesn't hold a candle to last week's episode.

The most interesting aspect actually had nothing to do with the comic itself; the reuse of the old castle suggests it will play a significant role throughout the season, in turn strengthening the possibility that the Pony of Shadows will be an actual antagonist.

Not really anything else to say. Despite the advertising it received, it was a pretty unremarkable episode.
