@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

You know, id like to see these feminine horses create a friggin fleet. Even if they did, the Fleet of Retribution would own it up. Nobody beats Rtas 'Vadum. NOBODEH.

See, on ground engagements, I would say that due to having actual weaponry instead of horns and jewelry, the Covenant would win. Even if the horses could fend off a few hundred lances, they wouldn't last against mgalekgolo Kill teams. Give me 12 foot tall bipedal "tanks" over ponies anyday....especially when led by an Arbiter.
Vehicular combat is a no brainer. As far as I know, the ponies have no vehicles...even for military purpose...they don't even have a military.
As for air, I don't wanna hear that crap about flying horses going incredibly fast and this friggin Buccaneer Dash thingy, because Vampire Antiair crafts could handle it. The heavy needler would get em, and if it failed, the stasis cannon could halt em.
Orbital engagement...is a bit iffy. If the sun and moon are both in the ponies hands, then...ill calculate it.

C'mon, Reed, it isn't fair to compare one thing to a completely different thing. If MLP ponies and Halo Covenant fought OBVIOUSLY Covenant would win, but that doesn't mean one's better than the other.

Wrong wrong wrong. >:P Fluttershy is annoying. It was kind of funny and charming at first but her being such a wimp gets old real fast. Applejack is hard to dislike but she seems so bland, the least interesting out of the whole group imo. As for the other poines, Rainbow dash is too arrogant and thick-headed, and I hate people like that. Rarity is too prissy, doesn't like to do anything out of her comfort zone and in some cases, self-centered.
Twilight Sparkle however is more interesting, the situations she gets in and overall attitude are way more entertaining than the rest. And Pinkie Pie is just hilarious. Party cannon ftw.

...Ok, I understand what you say about Fluttershy, but you have to admit, in Return to Harmony, Fluttershy was awesome! I agree on you with all the others...except Rainbow Dash. Yes, she can be arrogant and thick headed, but she also learns the most, in my opinion. She has preconceptions about people, and her episodes are about breaking down those preconceptions. That makes her my favorite character.

Umm, I think your hotlinking failed. It just says "jeff7.com"

So, now that I've seen a little over a dozen episodes, here's my opinion of the show.

Things I could do without:
* The theme song (not horrible but decidedly girly)
* The obvious moralizing at the end of the show ("Looks like you've all learned a valuable lesson today!" "Dear Princess Celestia...")
* The predictability of the plots. I'm usually not that good about predicting stories, but good lord, I can usually see where these stories are going from a mile away. Like the whole episode with Zecora. It was obvious the second that Twilight Sparkle suggested Zecora might not be bad that she wasn't (and even more obvious when Apple Bloom decided the same). Likewise it was obvious as soon as she warned the ponies about the plants that the plants were going to cause problems and it was hardly surprising when the ponies blamed Zecora rather than the plants. I realize these stories are being written mainly with six-year-old girls in mind, but come onnn, at least make us wonder if Zecora isn't as bad as she seems.
* Speaking of Zecora, I think the use of African stereotypes is a bit unfortunate, but eh. (And why does she seem to have a guy's voice?)
* Rarity's obnoxiousness. Out of all the main ponies, she seems to be the only one with few redeeming qualities. Element of Generosity my ass.
* The commercials during the show. Thankfully I don't have to deal with these on YouTube.

I could also do with Pinkie Pie being toned down juuuuust a little bit. She's funny, but she's best in small doses.

Good points:
* Applejack. :3
* The animation. There are a couple of bits where the animation seemed lazy and perhaps characters' expressions didn't perfectly line up with what was happening, but every cartoon has stuff like that. (Lord knows SatAM does.) What they did get right, they often got really right. The show's animated in Flash, but does it look like it? Damn right it does, but in the process proves that it doesn't have to be a bad thing. I often see small snippets of animation that are so sublime I have to rewind and watch 'em again.
* There's some neat in-jokes like the use of a song suspiciously similar to Yakety Sax (the Benny Hill theme) during a chase scene.
* "Flutterguy"'s voice had me laughing for a minute straight. "I don't want to talk about it..."
* The show's a nice time-killer.

So I'm not gonna be one of those guys who gushes about the show or anything like that, but I certainly like the show enough to keep watching it, I guess. *shrug*

Are we still obsessing over who does and doesn't like this show? It's been on the air for a year and a half now, it's developed a sizeable and passionate fan-base, and it's killing the ratings on the hub; I'm pretty sure it's a well-entrenched show at this point, and getting nervous about who does or doesn't like it, whether it's to prove how "silly" Bronies are or to assure yourself the show's appeal is universal, is kind of an exercise in futility by now, IMO.

When I was a kid

in fourth and fifth grade, mind you...

...all the kids in the class seemed to cling to the fact that I liked SatAM, and how it was such a bad and uncool thing and I was a terrible person who should watch Looney Tunes or Ren and Stimpy instead (I didn't even have cable/satellite so I couldn't watch Ren and Stimpy anyway)

So

Yeah, if you don't like the show, stay out of the show's topic. :/

It was funny at first, but honestly, how long can you guys keep this up?
