So... Has anyone figured out how to fix the firefox spellchecker thing, yet? The spellchecker works in the Shoutbox, but not here in the topic posting box.

Hmmm... Well... Before I came to FUS, I was a part of a group fo people elsewhere on the internet. One time they worked up a MUD and I ended up becoming the "the guy who discovers all the bugs by fumbling around and doing stuff that no one else figured on being gameplay". We discovered that the "magic forest" effect would crash the game if you fired a gun at the magcial reflection of yourself, rather quickly. But I'm not tech-savvy enough to be able to fix bugs. If anyone has any ideas on how I could help identify the problem more specifically, they could give me those pointers in plain english and I could report the results. That seemed to help out with a few of the more stubborn MUD bugs.

Might be something on FireFox's end cause it works fine with me.

Firefox is fully updated. I have it on auto-update. If the problem is with Firefox, what should I report to them to see if they can fix it? As far as I've been able to tell, FUS is the only place on the internet it's broken for me.

Whenever I go onto this site for the first time since powering on, it keeps trying to redirect to me to some 'file den' ad. It works normally the second time, but this seems possibly harmful, and once my Norton even blocked the site.

Is anyone else getting this? I'm not getting this...

It's possible you've got something on your own computer that is hijacking your browser. Does this ever happen when going to other sites?

E122Psi, you should check to make sure your Flash is up to date. An exploit was recently discovered, and maybe that's what's doing it.

Did FUS crash last night or something? I kept reciving a "server driver error" page after I posted in the shoutbox and tried to message VHS.

Yeah, there was a corrupt database table that broke the forum. I fixed it and everything should be OK now. I hope.

It's curious because I keep getting nagged to update my Flash Player on an overly regular basis. Any time I don't do it right away, it refuses to play  videos complaining it's out of date. I don't remember any of my previous computers being this finicky about updates.

I think it's recent versions of Firefox that do that. I'm kinda glad for it, 'cause not having the latest version of Flash is a good way to get malware on your computer.
