@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Alright! First up!

After doing some searching, getting lots of material handed to us by lots of great artists we managed to narrow it down to a single person. This person has a great art style when it comes to the characters emotions, as well as drawing each character with their own reaction to certain situations (instead of that blank face you get a lot of the time in a group when only one character matters). He still has a lot to learn, however during the last week we talked to him over small fixes we wanted, and he re did the page.. I dunno how many times. Also 2 different versions just to please myself and how I wanted the layout, as well John and how he wanted it.
With the ambition to get things done, try multiple times, and constantly looking for references and wanting to learn, we have chosen Saber16, or Steven Wood as you might know him in the Gaming Centre. If he wants to show off some of his artwork he can in here. I'm not going to show off the page we tested him on because that has to do with chapter 4.

Next in line. A lot of you are probably aware that we also got a new Webmaster. So everyone welcome Bakuda to the team. He has been working hard over the past few days doing minor fixes to the main site, as well as prepping for a new section you should all see soon.

Now onto the but of recruiting I need to do. Because Saber is our artist for Sea3on now, he doesn't have much leftover time to continue the weekly reviews on Sonic Games. So, if you are interested in taking over his spot, shoot me a PM, or email at Paul@SonicSatAM.com

So welcome Saber and Bakuda to our staff.

Actually screw it. Here is some of Sabers work

I love it! Congratulations, Saber!
I believe in what I want to believe in, you believe in what you want to believe in, so when someone wants to believe in something, no one will know what to believe!

Aww, you guys are making me blush...

Seriously though, thanks for the kind words everyone! I hope you guys like my work, and hopefully my backgrounds won't continue to suck!

Homework for the next week, watch a crap ton of SatAM, read the third chapter and go through Salamander's pages!

... it sounds like fun, but... it's not... IT's WORK!

Congrats to both of you. Loving the art, I can't wait for the new chapters happy.gif

I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
And helping others do the same.

Congrats to both of you. I think you made a good choice for an artist if only because he listens to advice and keeps in touch. Good communication is essential when work is being done remotely.

I agree. Saber looks like a good choice.

I don't know about that...I think I hold the ace in this competition. I mean, come on, the worst you can do is draw crappy art and ruin the great success Sea3on has had this past year.

I, however, hold the power to lock John and chief out of FUS and then crash the whole site, forums and all. Bye bye Sea3on!!!

So yeah, as far as the firing race is concerned I believe I could take the gold in that one. The only problem is I like my job and don't want to be fire...so I'll let you win it biggrin.gif
