That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

If you haven't already read we are currently looking for a new chapter artist for the Sea3on comic. You can find that topic here.


Okay onto the purpose of this topic. We are currently looking for a webmaster to manage FUS. Not really much goes on in this job. Its just mostly for updating the main site when we get material, fixing the forum if it goes off-line for whatever reason and mostly just basic website stuff.

If you know how to manage forum software, manage code on a website, and are good with updating material when its given to you please apply in here or at Paul@SonicSatAM.com.

Knowledge of Wordpress, Invision, and website junkaroo is needed. Also we clearly need someone who we can trust due to.. You know passwords and all that stuff.


Why are we looking for a webmaster? Well we have never really had a official one. Salamander did most of the stuff that we needed, but now she is getting busy with school again. Myself and John know nothing about techy website stuff and you can't teach us. Trust me.. Nique tried.

Salamander is dropping from Sea3on and managing the site? Crikey, school must really be draining her life if she can't spare the time for some brief updates and maintenance. What will happen if the forum goes down before you find a new webmaster? *stocks up on supplies*

I can take it if nobody else does. The main part that worries me is the "good with updating material when its given to you" part...

I thought Morgan had some involvement in this area? Perhaps I'm mistaken. I may be able to help out, as 80+% of my job has something to do with Wordpress (fortunately for our clients, not the website design). I'm partially familiar with phpBB (it's been a while...) and I am quite familiar with vBulletin and sadly MyDiscussions.net as well, but I have never used Invision. Time may not be a luxury for me either though, so I'll have to see.

Paul asked me before to be his webmistress but my coding knowledge is very limited, so salamander had been the one dealing with the website itself.

I know quite a bit about coding and HTML. I've never made a forum but I have made some demo websites, both in flash and HTML format. If you wouldn't mind my quirky self being Webmaster I'd love to take up the position. cool.gif Don't worry though, I wouldn't take advantage of the status and do anything irresponsible. I've also had some experience with Wordpress but I haven't even heard of Invision. Shouldn't take too long to get used to though. tongue.gif
