@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Okay so I have some sad news to bring out tonight. Due to reasons Salamander, our main Sea3on artist has dropped out from the project. Its understandable, she is busy with a new job and school soon, among other things. She has done great for Sea3on and we (myself and John) thank her for her hard work.

This means that we need to main chapter artist. Are you someone who likes to have thousands of people look at your work? Someone who can keep a weekly schedule and get paid for it? Then apply to Paul@SonicSatAM.com

A huge loss to say the least... but this will not spell the end of Sea3on. Sadly what it will spell though is a hiatus (our very first one since we started this) until we get someone new on board, and I cannot apologise enough for that.

So, please. If you care about this comic as much as we do, and if you are someone that feels up to the job, or you know of someone else that is, drop us a line. We pay people with real money too by the way; none of that funny check bouncing stuff here.

(Will miss you, Salamander. Good luck with everything! smile.gif )

I could do it, but I can assure you that my art would make Vlad's look like Salamander's or Glitcher's.

For anyone applying it would be nice to see work on characters, as well as backgrounds and buildings.

That's a crying shame about salamander. =/ She did right by my scripts and it was an honor to see my words put to her art. I'll really miss having her as a partner.

Since its for the best, I don't blame Salamander at all. I wish her the best on her endeavors. On the Sea3on.....wouldn't Glitcher take the spot of main chapter artist? I think its cool that other can have the chance of taking the spot but from what I remember thought Glitcher would be second in line.

That's a shame, but it's highly understandable. School before... hedgehogs... that sounded lame.

As for the art position... I would really like to give it a shot, if that would be cool.

Funny, because just about everyone seems to disagree with you. It's nice to know you vetoed me before I even got a chance to apply. tongue.gif But I guess you're probably right. The reason my short looks good is because I had several months to prepare it. It was a good experience improving my comic art without worrying about the deadline, but trying to maintain that kind of quality while following a weekly schedule will drain all of my free time. It's not so much a commission as it is a job - a job that doesn't pay much as Chief says. I don't think I'm ready to commit to that.

On the other hand, a few months ago I brought up the idea of drawing a comic based on Ben Hurst's notes about Nicole's backstory. I'm still open to that possibility and right now you're short on Sea3on material. (Mara hasn't even started drawing her comic yet.) It would be the perfect tribute to Ben's unfinished ideas and I also mentioned this to Gojira to see if he'd be willing to write the script. He sounded interested, but he seemed conflicted on how to approach the story and I'm not sure about his involvement. The alternative is that you can save money on the writer's fee and let me write the script myself for no extra charge - the advantage being that I get more control over the story (not that I'd want to undermine or deviate from Ben's notes of course). All in all, it's a good way to honour Ben Hurst, fill the current void in Sea3on and deliver more of the kind of art that everyone seemed to enjoy last time. If anyone else thinks this is good idea, please show your support.

Their support doesn't matter as Gojira and myself talked over it and he is doing his own thing on it. If you want to do it go for it and do it on your own but its not going to be involved in Sea3on due to the current plans.

Well, it's your call. I won't prompt you for it again. Incidentally, why were you dead set against me replacing Salamander before I even volunteered? You provided no explanation here or in the Sea3on comments, so I'm guessing it's something you have trouble admitting.

I don't have trouble admitting anything. Our decision was just based of events from the past. We are looking for someone we will be able to work with fully and we just had problems in the past with you. Down the road perhaps not but for now thats the basis of the choice. Tend not to work well with people who threaten us once. Even though it is all worked out now.

Like I said in the future maybe not, but for now. I just didn't mention it because I figured you didn't want everyone knowing how you tried to threaten us once. What a big screw up those few days were eh? On both parties of course. But thats what leads to our decision on this for now. We just don't believe we will work well with you. Your honestly better off doing stuff on your own anyways. I would like to see a full comic that you wrote and drew yourself one day.

I'm rather offended at that explanation, chief. That argument is ancient history and I'm shocked that it would influence your decision now. It was a stupid incident and John shouldn't have been banned me for it, but I shouldn't have threatened to blackmail him in return. It was a bad idea and I apologised for it, just as John apologised for overreacting. He told me in his emails that this would be forgotten and we could go on with our lives, but if you're holding it against me now then I guess it's not forgotten at all. If you have a problem with my attitude, fine. Insult me, penalize me or ban me from your site if I'm that bad an influence. But you know I did a good job on Sea3on and I'm hurt that you would dismiss me from it because of extraneous circumstances.
