Speaking of which... I have another to add to the list: My truck is now stuck in the snow about 20 yards out into the driveway, away from the house... And I still need to get into town...

Actually, you were the first to mention global warming and it spouted form there.

I am sick of snow and cold and having to shovel repeatedly so I can get up my driveway before the snow is compacted into ice. It's on a incline. In 2009, we had a horrible ice storm and I couldn't even get up it in my car.

Ha ha ha... No. It's too far to walk into town. Fortunately, it's warmed back up and I managed to get the truck unstuck. Now, she's setting on a patch of solid ground, instead of a snowbank.

That was tossed in as something of a joke.

You only enjoy winter because you get to abuse the golf cart in the ice and snow.

No way! I'm from the midwest...tack on about 95% humidity with that 100 degree weather and you're looking at one very miserable day!!! Under 70 nice...I'd say about 65-75 is perfect weather. I'm with you chief...a little chill can be refreshing. However, I am SOOO ready for this winter weather to be over and for spring to come.

Try 99 or 100% humidity in 115 degree weather, burning off wheat fields, or working on a broken-down combine, or in a tractor with no AC. That's a bit outside even my comfort zone. But, honestly, I'd rather sweat than shiver. I can always dump some of my drinking water on my head if need be, in the summer. In winter, I often can't stay outside for very long. There are fools who say that you can combat the cold with extra layers of clothing, but that's never worked for me. It would take something like 10 layers of clothes, and by then I'd be broke and unable to move, and probly would still be cold. 75-90 is perfect weather.<!--quoteo(post=48118:date=Feb 25 2011, 08:21 PM:name=VladYvhv)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VladYvhv @ Feb 25 2011, 08:21 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=48118"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I don't think I'll ever be able to understand how anyone could enjoy the cold... I'd much rather have it get upwards of 100F than below 70F. I find the heat to be comfortable and energizing... The cold, on the other hand, feels like its sucking the life out of me, and it causes my skin to hurt...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Depends on the time of year and just what type of rain it is. A nice summer's rain is great. A torrential downpour is generally bad (though it can be good on one of those 115 degree days). A storm with tornado watch/warnings is even worse. Freezing rain is even worse than that. It also depends on how much rain. Though I did get a dog out of the last flood, a couple years ago, that was WAY too much rain. It was literally more rain than the biblical flood.I'm actually a fan of the rains. Just a nice cloudy day with a steady pour of rain. Ahhh, so nice. Everything grows.
