Ah, SIFF...that was a term I coined for a self-insert chara. Actually, in my fanfiction, it refers to a character who was originally thought to be just a personification of the author or a character that was used as someone's message board persona. To clarify, if in my fanfiction, Antoine were to walk up to my chara and introduce him to his sister, Velvet...my chara would call her a SIFF since you used her as your message board persona.
I'm actually a SIFF myself, and plan to write a fic where my chara actually meets...myself. Basically the author meets his own self-insert chara. Even planning to write it in such a way where it seems like...IT HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE! *jarring chord plays...and I turn towards the piano player* Thank you, sir. Remind me to tip you later.
Anyways...I hope that gives you an idea. Kaotix knows more about this since I am planning to use his chara in a future fic.

Flege walks into the bar, looks around and takes a seat in a vacant corner.
"Blast it, this isn't the right place either." Flege mumbles to himself.
He then starts looking at the other patrons trying to spot anybody he could recognise. He glances over Gamemaster Anthony and almost did a double take. It couldn't be... but by the descriptions and the pic I've seen, it has to be him.

Velvet craned her neck to look at the prone form of Beatles123. His arms were splayed out and his John Lennon-esque glasses were crooked. She tapped Antoine on the shoulder.
"Come on, you take the left armpit, I'll take the right."
"Meh, ma soeur, I do not to be wishing to touch 'is armpit!"
"Just do it."
So the two coyotes walked over to the Beatle, one very reluctantly, and eased him over to the wall, where they left him to come 'round in a sitting position.
"Let's wait for him to wake up," she whispered companionably to Antoine and watched as he fetched their drinks.
"You'll be alright, won't you? Ya silly fool!" she added to the unconscious man.
"Come on, you take the left armpit, I'll take the right."
