You can do like me and just not watch her show, hit the mute button when commercials come on, so you can't hear about her, don't watch any news but the Daily Show, and don't bother with following politics. Apart from them making fun of her on the Daily Show and this topic, I don't hear anything about her.

Yeah, the sad thing is though she's not like Justin Beiber who doesn't really matter and you can just tune out completely with little effort. She's someone who potentially could be running the country in the future, or set a model for the kinds of people who will run the country in the future. Now that's scary.

Something a lot of people don't wanna admit to: It really doesn't matter who gets elected. We'll have the same problems, only with different people to blame for them. The perception of differences in values and whatnot between the parties is just an illusion that they use to fool people into buying into the whole political parties concept. Perhaps it was different in the distant past, but really, they're all the same, and have been for quite some time...

There's no denying that both parties are highly corrupt and self-serving, but to say that there is no essential difference between them strikes me as an absurdity.

Yeah, it's sad when those are what people will vote for someone for. And they totally will given the chance.
At least that means that at the very least if she ever got elected to the presidency, if any of the stress could penetrate her skull from such a high office and prematurely age her like it does most people, she wouldn't get a second term.

They're both trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator come the elections. They just can't go about it in the exact same way. They have to create at least the allusion of marginally opposing ideals.

Maybe, but the bottom line is it does affect which laws get passed, meaning that the parties do have different effects on the country.

Sorry about the previous response, couldn't resist. Honestly though the easier question to answer would be "What's NOT to hate about Sarah Palin?".
She represents almost everything that's disgusting in the American right.
She supports abstinence only education and for fun kills helpless animals from a helicopter for fuck's sake. She's proud of this.
She represents an ideology that wants to "go back" to a white bread America that never was, can or should be.


PS- Her appearance on the national stage in a cringe-inducingly transparent last ditch effort by the Republicans to lure away disgruntled Clinton supporters (McCain had planned to run with Back'Stabbin Joe Liberman.) basically amounted to shaking keys and going "A bloogie woogie woo look it's a girl like what the Dems don't got!" in the face of said Hillary supporters. And "Never mind that you don't know anything about her- look how PRETTY she is! She eats moose just like you!" to everyone else.
Sort of started her off on the wrong foot with a lot of people.

Though to be honest, nobody running for president is qualified for the job. Anyone who is qualified already knows better than to run for office because they know the stress and responsibilities better than the man or woman who just wants to be popular through political ads on TV. It's a naive ego trip for the candidates and they run for a second term just to either
A ) enhance that ego even more,
B ) fix the mistakes they made in the first term by making even more mistakes,
C ) enhance that ego even more by fixing the mistakes made in the past through the process of making even more mistakes.

Oh yeah. How could I forget? Her opposing firearms under civilian use, abortion, homosexuality, and drugs completely sucks! And I'd personally like to see some sort of proof of your second 'fact' about Sarah Palin'. Its like the whole world is beating up on this person when they don't even get their facts straight.
