What better way to start the new year other then doing a 7 day Guest Comic Week! Thats right! Have you ever wanted to draw some Sonic art? Be apart of Sea3on? Have your work shown to thousands of people? Well now here is your chance. Submit a single page comic to me at Paul@Sonicsatam.com along with your name and any comments you wish to be posted with it. Guest Comic week will start Saturday January 1st 2011 and will wrap up on Friday the 7th. And just because we are nice we will put up the start of Chapter 3 on Saturday the 8th. Thats 8 days of comics! Holy crap!
So start drawing and sending me your work. I hope to have at least 7 comics done by you talented people.
Oh yes, I know I said the 3rd chapter was going to start on the 24th but we actually have a nice surprise for you on the 24th and the 31st. Actually, if we are posting something on the 31st it means 9 days of comics, not just 8. Woooo!

I would, myself, but my art "skills" tend to produce stuff so bad as to reproduce the effects of the opened Ark of the Covenant, or the trunk of the car from Repo Man... Or that guy with the exploding head from Scanners... And I wouldn't want to risk exposing anyone to that sort of horror...

Oh boy Ive been looking forward to an opportunity like this one for a while now...
And what an amazing way to kick off Sonic's 20th anniversary ( I'm gonna party all year you'll see!) "ahem" So as far as entry's goes, i noticed that RedAuthar May attempt a two page strip. My question wasn't so much as if I can attempt one too, but I was a bit curious if I may enter a two page strip and a one page strip. I also have a hard time scripting single page gags/stories but I'm bursting with excitement to give it my best shot.
Secondly are their any particular format the page should be in? I.E. "jpg.,PNG" or file size. And to a lesser extent "content" and "style". I never figured to to go beyond a pg/pg-13 level of content
(although Ive always thought a "frank Miller" style sonic comic would be interesting). But more to the point, does it matter if the art style is specific to the show or not? I.E. "five fingers vs. four, slightly stylized anatomy ect". I am capable of illustrating sonic and company in the same lite as the animated show, however i thought it polite to ask. I was also hoping to use my entry page or pages as part of my audition to do do a season 3 short.
Anywho, best of luck everyone I

Why? JPEG looks terrible for certain kinds of images. Sometimes you get an image that looks bad and is bigger than a PNG would be.
I'd use PNG for most computer art, and JPEG for most scanned art (unless it's black and white or grayscale; then PNG might work better). If in doubt, try both, and if the JPEG is smaller, make sure it doesn't have too many artifacts.
