@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

So I always thought of Tron as.. Well, stupid. A nerd movie at best that attracted nerds. All in all, not my stuff. However I came across Tron 2's official trailer and I must say I would like to watch it. By saying that I really mean; Fuck that looks awesome!

I always liked Tron. The original was just cheesy because cyberspace was still new to the mainstream and not fully understood.

I thought the first Tron was pretty cool, but only when thinking about the time in which it was released. My parents worked with Genigraphics -- which was one of the the programs used to make the film -- so that made it kind of interesting to me. The music, however...was absolutely horrible. And I didn't think there was nearly enough focus on the games. But, when I saw the trailer to Tron: Legacy, I was like "Oh shit! This is how it should be!"

So, yeah. Lookin' forward to it. happy.gif

To be honest, I feel asleep through the first Tron. The story was paced too slowly. I think a lot of that may have been trying to get an audience uneducated in computer jargon used to the world of Tron. The Matrix did a whole lot better conveying the rules of a computer world.

It looks like Tron 2 will be better paced. I also heard that they will use 3-D in the same way The Wizard of Oz used color. All of the scenes in the real world will be normally shot, and all of the stuff in the Tron computer world will be shot in 3-D. I just hope they don't deviate from that idea.

If the trailer I saw at the 3D showing of "Megamind" I went to last week (and regarding "Megamind" itself: better than expected, still not all that good) is any indication, this is indeed true. That being the case, I already give this movie points for actually integrating 3D into the story in a way that flows organically from the concept, perhaps the first movie of its kind to even bother doing so.

I have yet to see the original "Tron" (though I aim to change that before this movie comes out); indeed, the only experience I've really had with the "Tron" universe up 'til now was the Space Paranoids section of "Kingdom Hearts II". And I still think this movie looks amazing. The music is being done by one of my favorite bands (Daft Punk, muthafuckas!!!), the visuals have the exact kind of flair and finesse I love, and the actual plot sounds like just the sort of high-octane, emotionally charged story that could deliver it all in a package that will be fun and exciting and compelling. I'm psyched for this movie.

Eff, yeah! Now I'm excited! Even if just for a simple technique like that. We'll see if the rest of the movie is any good in due time, but I am excited. I agree. This may become the best use of 3-D in feature-length cinema that I know of to date.

Got introduced to Tron via Kingdom Hearts 2. Couldn't figure out even in the slightest what was going on, so I rented the movie. Still have no idea what was going on but I at least knew who the characters were. And the movie looks awsome. Now I might have to make a stupid Tron Costume to go with my other nerd outfits.

Just get some tights and spray some glow in the dark paint on them. You'd look great!

Me and a bunch of friends of mine are gonna make a double feature of it. We're gonna watch Tron at someone's house then go and watch the midnight premiere of Tron Legacy in theaters.
