@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

The fact that you can list 100 movies scares me. I can make a list of about 5, which is would change, sometimes hourly.

Wait, why is Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust so high on your list while the first one is behind The Hobbit at the very bottom? Animation wasn't as good on the original but the story was way better.

I don't think I was consciously aware that there were that many animated movies out there... I think I've seen about 15-20 over the course of my 30 years... And most of those were during the first 10 years...

I think VHD Bloodlust is better than the first despite i grew up with the original VHD in the early 90's when i was 12.

Any of these movies anyone's faves?

I just lost all respect for you. You had Beavis and Butt-Head on that list.. As well as Heavy Metal. 2 of the worst things I have ever watched.

I'm not huge on movies.. let alone animated movies. Although animation in general, especially anime (Started watching anime 2 years ago now.. Maybe close to 3) I watch a lot of. Hell I have 700 gigs of anime series on my computer. Although one movie I am looking foreword to (a anime movie) is King Of Thorn. Its just not subbed yet from what I can find.

And I didn't really loose all respect for you just.. dislike those 2 movies.

And do you think Ninja Scroll, Akira, Ghost in The Shell, Wicked City etc. or Bakshi's movies are better mature audiences animated movies than Heavy Metal? and what do you think of Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend? the film that started the hentai subgenre.

Don't worry, because James Cameron and David Fincher with Gore Verbinski, Zack Snyder, Rob Zombie, Guillmero Del Toro etc. are collabrating together for a fancy new Heavy Metal reboot coming in 2012 with different animation in each segment. Wouldn't it be better than the original especially with Cameron and Fincher involved?

What do you think of HM 2000 and would you compare Heavy Metal to anime especially hentai? you know what hentai is cheif? and why hate Beavis and Butt-Head?

Yes I know what hentai is. I'm not a idiot. Never seen Ninja Scroll of Akira, nor do I have any real plan to do so. I'm also aware of the new heavy metal and I could care less about that as well.

Beavis and Butt-Head is just dumb humour for dumb people. There is only so much stupid I can take and that show tosses it WAY over what I can take. Thats just my view on it at least. I don't like being dumbed down just to get a joke. Its like a show for the mentally challenged. Something they can laugh at too because if they were to watch anything half assed they probably wouldn't get the joke.

Also.. No I wouldn't compare Heavy Metal to hentai.. In all honestly I'm not exactly sure why I don't like it. I just know Ive watched Heavy Metal and.. I could have done without it.

Wow...King of Thorn looks very interesting. It said worldwide release...does that mean there's at least a dub out? Normally I prefer subs but I don't mind dubs IF they're of good quality.

Suppose to be out sometime in November. I think it will just be a sub at first and Funi will pick it up after. But..I dunno for sure.

I thought Heavy Metal was ok but I haven't seen it since the 90s. I think animated nudity itself is the main reason to associate the two. That one guy who was popular for a little while as the "game overthinker" did a review that might enjoy Chief http://www.escapistm...361-Heavy-Metal

King of Thorns looks awesome. Reminds me a lot of Dead Space seeming as most of the population in the sector were mutated. Dead Space was kick-ass, so I'm looking forward to this one. thumbsup_anim.gif

Oh, trust me. We've been printing "hentai" comics long before we realized they've been doing the same thing in Japan the whole time.

I don't have a Top 100 list myself. And the list I do have is ordered alphabetically as "The Movies that Influence Me the Most" in my About Me page here at FUS. There are some animated films in there.

I've seen a lot of the movies on this list. Seems an odd order to put them in though. Why you put Plague Dogs at 99 is beyond me. Pinnochio seems a strange on to put at the best American animation. Granted, it's YOUR list and you can put what you want there, but I've never cared for much of the "hippie" animation discussed above. Hell, It's hard enough for me to enjoy Japanese cartoons, save for Spirited Away (good choice).

I'd have put WD at the top, but...of course I would do that. = : )

Japanese animation is especially different because they like to start most of their movies right in the middle of a huge story without giving us any back-story until about half-way through. In most animes the whole plot is about the main characters trying to figure out just how big the rest of the story really is. The same could be said for American filmmaking, but there's certainly less focus on giant unexplained backstories in American films than in Japanese films. Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away director) is the odd one out in Japan for putting less focus/more gradual focus on back-story complexity. His movies are definitely a good introduction into the world of Japanese animation.

Looking back at my list, I haven't updated it in the longest time. Guess I'll spend most of tonight doing just that.
